Combination planting is the way to go in containers. I am attempting to do the same because I grew (thank God for that) to many things inside. Moving them outside, I'm standing in the middle of them and wowwww. Thank you for showing this... truly a grand help! Staking your Blueberry Bushes up to make room for other items was new. I'll try it. Brain on the loose!! 🤣🤣🤣😘❤️
Yes! Get imaginative with it! Because some things grow quick and once so why not plant it under something that’s going to take forever lol. Thanks so much 🧡🍑
I also grow everything in raised beds and pots. My starts are still growing in the basement and can’t go outdoors for a few weeks yet. You have a fabulous garden🧅🥒🍅
Yes. As long as they are companion plants and the container is big enough. My red ones are 13.5 gallon almost 25 gallons. Typically it’s 5 gallons per plant which allows me to put up to 3 in one. I try to plant deep root plants with shallow root ones like the blueberries are deep root but lettuce is shallow so they are not competing! Thanks so much for your support!
Hi Pam, looks like you are off to a great start! I had two blueberry brushes and rosemary but I lost a couple of years back to deep frost. We hit into the negative zeros. My friend had a 5ft high, as well as, wide rosemary bush that didn't make it that winter, too. I'll be starting from scratch. I am an okay gardener, but looking to better this year. Thanks for your tour of your garden. You're giving me the courage to dive back into my gardening. I'm in Zone 7a, here in NJ. You must be in a really good Zone. Much love and blessings to you and yours. 🍅🥒🌶️🥬🥕❤️

First time to visit your site! I love it! Plus, you are so pleasant to listen to. I live in Alaska!!! so we do good to get one harvest in our very short summer. I container plant most of my plants. I also have a sunroom which stretches the season quite a bit, and a greenhouse for tomatoes. We have from late May to end of August to plant and harvest whatever. Mostly cold weather crops! However, with our extremely long summer days (24 hours in June) plants grow very fast and mature early. I am amazed at the size of the veggies that will grow here! Many are entered in the state fair. They have had 120-pound cabbage, 600-pound pumpkin. 20-pound beets and onions, and fifty-pound squash and zukes entered in the fair. Of course, these things have been babied and treated very special. I don't know if I would eat any of them, but they are cool to see!! We usually get our first frost in Sept. and first snow in Oct. The snow will stay around until late April or early May. The saving graces that we have are the wild editable plants that grow here. There are tons of them!! They have become my passion!!! Many of them are delicious! Anyway, I just felt like sharing this with you! Hope you enjoy it and get a few laughs from it. Keep on keeping on Girl!!!
