I was scratching my head and pulling my hair out trying to remember what that first song was from... by the end of the video, I figured it out. Tenchu!
Yup! Tenchu's soundtrack was banger after banger.
@@Johnnygrafx LATE RESPONSE LOLOL....was that good 'Ol KY bourbon in that glass or some knock of Whiskey?
Knob creek 🙂
@@Johnnygrafx Mr. Late here again (I'm 49 going on 19), but do you know of any collections with Pitt-Fall, Bionic Commando...kinda adventure type classic games for the PS4...By the way, you do speak well (I have East KY accent (ex. I gotta warsh my cloths) and glad I found you....great job.....I'll be subscribing.
@@Johnnygrafx Yep...From KY and quite pricey, try some Woodford Reserve...that will get ya thinking about that Blue-grass music and Horses (uhm...I mean racing of course)
Love to see a physical Disney afternoon collection.
I love all Shmups and retro collections for modern PlayStation consoles too! As a passionate gamer and collector, I’ve amassed a decent collection of original consoles and games over the years.
@Johnny Grafx excellent work here. Your descriptions are excellent and the editing and quality are superb. Keep up the great work!
Great work! Nice video. Thanks. Keep them coming!
I think there's room for Part 3. Some of the new ones include Blizzard Arcade Collection, Capcom Arcade Stadium
Yup. Working on part 3 now 🙂
NOt bad. I still need three or four more compilations on the PS2 or PS3 then I am set! Might need the Genesis classic/mini too for some of the games its got, plus I wanna mod it for tons of others. Great vid!
The genesis mini is fantastic. I put all my favorites in there with project lunar and I'm set.
Lol! I was looking for a copy of 8-bit on another tab as I was watching your video. Well played! :)
Just subbed your channel because of the awesome content.
Greets from a german gamer
Great content. Do more videos about that!
Planning on it :)
Ok, I'm ready for my gaming history education. I have so much to learn and let's face it, we're pretty much all hoarders here. Buying the same game in different forms. haha. ***I like how 4:50 looks like the TV I used to game with when I was a kid! This video makes me miss my childhood gaming friends so much! We used to spend all day playing Salamander!
Just subscribed.
Awesome content mate!
Thanks Bro Great Chanel.....
Great recommendations!!!
I love retro gaming and retro consoles the only problem is how expensive they can be
Yup. And they're not getting any cheaper!
nice video I love your UA-cam channel
Baited me with that Metal Slug character mate, how dare you exploit my weakness?
Just to let you know, only the Lion King has both the Nintendo and Sega version, Aladdin only has the Sega version due to Capcom being the developers of the SNES version while the others were made by Virgin Interactive. Shame that one wasn't included it because it was a good game too.
This isn't the case anymore. They've added SNES Aladdin and even included The Jungle Book additionally via DLC.
top video 😃
sweet video
Don't get the Metal Slug Anthology for PS4/5. The emulation wasn't amazing on a real PS2, but running on a PS2 emulator on a PS4 really brings out the sound issues, etc. I recommend the ACA NEOGEO versions on PSN, instead.
When I was younger, I had a friend who's mom took he and I to the mall. My friend had money to buy one NES game. So we went to the wall of laminated box covers with the tickets you would turn in to the cashier to buy your game. Anyway, I was trying to hard to influence him to buy an RPG game. We had both just recently gotten into Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy. We looked at all probably 150 laminated box covers... front and back, and I was pushing hard for him to get "Destiny of an Emperor". I had never seen the game before, heard any reviews if it was good or bad or frankly ever heard of it before that day. I looked at the back of it and it looked like an RPG... and it was made by Capcom, so how could it be bad right? Anyway, all the coaxing in the world wasn't working and he ended up getting Shadowgate instead. Disappointed, I went back to his house and played it. Not only did Shadowgate end up being one of my favorite NES game, it also has some of the best 8bit music I had heard at the time. I still rock out to the MANY guitar covers of this game on UA-cam. Anyway, what I remember about Shadowgate the most is the stress of the game. You really felt alone... your torches constantly burning out was a reminder that you had to think quick or the grim reaper would get you... and these puzzles weren't "think quick" puzzles. What also made this game... or rather company unique was that they had a FREE 1-800 tip line!!! My buddy and I LOVED calling them. I swear the US tip line had maybe 4-5 people answering the phones and we practically got to know them by name. They did such a good job of helping you without giving you the answers. It became an incentive for me to want to buy other games by Kemco-Seika. While I played a few more that weren't like Shadowgate (Like North and South and Spy vs Spy)... I was broke and never bought DejaVu or The Uninvited (until my adulthood)... and I DESPERATELY wanted to play Uninvited because it looked to be a creepy scary game like Shadowgate. Shadowgate is one of those games that sadly you can only beat once and get the full enjoyment out of it. Once you know the answers to all the puzzles, its more of a trip down memory lane than it is enjoying the experience of figuring things out which is really its selling point. I do try to beat it every 5-10 years or so without looking up the hints to see how much I've forgotten. Not sure if you are a BitHead1000 fan
(one of my favorite UA-camrs), but back when he had a Patreon tier that let you pick a game he'd review (and he REALLY played the hell out of game before he reviewed it)... I picked Shadowgate. A. Because I love the game... and B. Because I knew it would frustrate the HELL out of him (and it did). It's a classic video if you care to look it up.
I'll look into that video! Glad to hear you enjoyed those games. I'm glad I have them in that collection.
Double dragon collection
Here for the premiere! Dropped a like :)
Thanks my dude 👍 glad you enjoyed.
@@Johnnygrafx I did! Also, lolz at Project Diva F in the Saturn 😆
@@Sarumaru I thought you would enjoy that lol
CONTRA!!!! It was soooooo hard. Even with 30 lives!! Maybe with this version, I can finally see what the end game looks like assuming I can keep saving as I go, right? haha..
Yup! I believe they all have save states 🙂
Johnny Grafx I’ll come to this video for inspiration, this and part 1, whenever I feel like some retro games. I think the new data saving thing can finally help me to find out what happens in the end of these games. Lol. Retro games are hard!!! As I recall. NES Adventure Island. Have you ever played that one?!!! What a great game! BTW, I grabbed Medievil when it was on sale on PS4, inspired by your other videos! excited to play it🥳
Good! MediEvil is fantastic you'll love it
Funny though how you mentioned Aladdins two different versions, because just like in the 90s, people STILL argue over which is better lol. The SNES supposedly had a bette sound system than the genesis model 1 and 2, but the music was somehow just better on the genesis version. Coupled with the choice of levels, the genesis was just better at a lot of gaming, and specifically some games like Aladdin by a near landslide. However, that being said, the final boss of the genesis version was not as good as the version on the SNES. It was almost like the devs traded notes, and somehow the cool legit Jafar Giant Snake ending from the movie was meant for the genesis, but wound up on the SNES instead. Still, the nintendo version gets a 6.5/10 while the Genesis version gets a solid 8/10. I didnt even know there was a compilation of them and the lion king on ps4! lol
Yup these compilations really just seem to come out of nowhere. Thats part of what makes them fun to collect.
What is the name of that Disney afternoon ps 4 Game I’m not finding anywhere
It's called the Disney Afternoon Collection.
store.steampowered.com/app/525040/The_Disney_Afternoon_Collection/
Believe it or not, Castlevania Adventure runs worse on the original hardware. 😂
Dang lol
the castelvania game boy is the same as the oregynal game boy the rezon it is so slow is becaus it was one of the firest gams to com out on gamboy they ded noth manege to macket run well yet
The input lag on Metal Slug anthology is soooo bad. Regretful purchase
Why are retro collections so poorly advertised?
When I click on Sony Playstation's own links to and articles about its library of retro games, there is no mention of contra et al. Instead it's games like GTA San Andreas and the Shadow of the Colossus remaster that get talked about - they're not retro games in any meaningful sense.
