Another parallel between valentine and kaato is the idea of passing of negative things to someone else at their expense rather than be willing to take it on yourself, with seemingly no remorse. Valentine takes all the negative that comes to his country and passes it on to different places around the world, with no regard for anyone who isn’t in his nation. Similarly kaato is willing to take the negative (rock disease) and pass it on to others. She is willing use others as a sacrifice, with no regard for anyone who isn’t in her family.

The one thing I've always disagreed with is that the old universe was about time, and the new one is space. It would be better to say that every villain since the beginning has a power that lets them change fate. The masks allow an evolution beyond their normal lot in life, The World can instantly change the course of the fight, D4C lets Valentine access worlds where fate is different and allows him to surpass death itself, with Love Train outright telling you it's manipulating fate.
I think the key to the connection is actually C-Moon, a nod to how gravity, which we experience in space, is inextricably linked to our experience of time, while also acting as a metaphor for fate throughout the part.
Yeah, I agree with you. It's not as simple as time (old) then space (SBR), if we considered the old universe villains were about time, what about the stone mask & red stone Aja in part 1 & 2, "time-based" only started from part 3 onwards.
@@FauZhee I mean stone mask and red stone present a mastery of time (you become immortal and then a perfect being, nothing not even time can halt you) and part 3 DIO cant have The World without being a vampire
lion hasnt appeared in ANY CHAPTER since the start of Jojolion, i think it's safe to say that this is an Araki forgot moment Edit: i have been made aware that we have recently seen lion, however like a true araki forgotter i absolutely refuse to acknowledge it and never will
NO SHUT UP IS JOTARO HE IS GOING TO AWAKEN THE *STAR FINGER ACT 4* AND GET INTO JOJOLION TO BE THE MAIN VILLIAN, HE'S GOING TO KILL JOSUKE AND HE'S GOING TO SAY "Araki *NEVER* forgots bitch"
I think Wonder of U is actual a mashup of I Wonder U by Prince and The Wonder of You by Elvis and not just a copyright free name. Hat Josuke is also a mashup of Elvis and Prince but also two specific people. Therefore I think the current Tooru is a merger of Afeku and Tooru. Well maybe not the last one, but if next couple chapters confirms this and I'm correct that Hat Josuke and Tooru are connected in this way there is no way Tooru is not the the main antagonist if they are that strongly thematically connected. Kaato may be the final boss of jojolion but I doubt Tooru will be retconned into being a minion for Kaato like damo was for Tooru. Araki would not pull the same trick twice, right?
Damo was never really a minion for Tooru, he was more or less running a separate operation. It's more that the way Damo's Rokakaka was transformed made Tooru and his ring take interest in it and begin pursuing Josuke and the Higashikatas.
Really great video. I think my only outstanding issue with the theory is, like a lot of people have pointed out, her lack of presence in the story as a whole. Despite the fact that she had plenty of influence on the characters who are present, it would feel really unsatisfying if she came out of nowhere and revealed herself the villain. It feels to me almost as if DIO had popped out at the end of Stone Ocean and assumed the role of villain, with the same relative amount of overall presence. I think, though, that like with a lot of the odd concepts being worked with, it could be done well. We'll see.
I think thematically she works a lot better than Tooru does. I mean, sure he has the backstory with Rai, and he knows Yasuho, but that's about it. He doesn't have as much of meaningful relationship to the Higashikatas as a Jobin or a Kaato
I agree that her lack of appearances is probably the biggest issue with the theory. That's the big thing that really kept me from going all in on her prior to Ch99.
Ok, pretty compelling theory as always, but I have a few comments: First in regards to Caato being a rock human, you bring up the fact that it would tie the two halves of the story together, but I don't think we even need one of the characters to be a rock human in order to accomplish that. As you say, the Higashikatas' rock disease may be caused by being a human/rock human hybrid. If this is the case, then there must have been a rock human that married into the family at least as far back as Norisuke I's wife since we see the rock disease happening to her daughter, Rina. So if the rock disease is caused by being a hybrid, then the two sides of the story will inevitably get tied together regardless of whether or not Caato is a rock human since the Higashikatas would still be hybrids either way. This would also still tie in the mention of rock human women and human men being able to mate from chapter 99 since, one of the generations of the family (potentially Norisuke I and his wife) would have involved a rock human women mating with a human man. If the Higashikata's are part rock human, then I don't think that a full-blooded rock human needs to be physically present for the finale at all. I have a feeling that at some point we are going to be getting a full flashback for Lucy going to Morioh to collect the corpse since we saw it so briefly in chapter 99. So maybe in that flashback she'll meet the Higashikata family of the time and learn that the mother is a rock human. I think that you too quickly assumed that one of the female characters that is currently in the story must be a rock human when I don't really think that is necessary. The next thing I have to bring up is in regards to Caato being the main villain. The main thing that makes this hard to believe is her complete absence from the story for so long. She was introduced in chapter 58, then a few chapters later, we got her backstory, then she completely disappeared from the story for 3 years. If she is supposed to be the main villain, then Araki could have been building her up during all of that time, if not by having her physically appear, then at least by having the Higashikatas frequently bring her up and question where she is and what she's up to. But instead she has barely been mentioned at all. If she does end up being the main villain, then it will be coming completely out of nowhere. Araki has had plenty of time to build her up as a threat, but he has instead chosen to spend that time building up Jobin and the hospital rock humans. Every single prior main villain has been continuously built up for at least half of the part. The main villain that showed up the farthest into the part prior to this is Diavolo but the entire second half of part 5 is about finding out more about him. Assuming that we get about 20-30 more chapters, Caato will also have been introduced a little before the midpoint, but instead of the entire second half being centered around her, most of the second half will have been centered around Jobin and the hospital rock humans. And prior to her grand reappearance in what will presumably be the final arc, she will have only appeared in 3 chapters. I wouldn't be surprised if Caato comes back in some way but having her be the main villain wouldn't make a lot of sense in my opinion. It's not like she doesn't have a role in the story as is. She is a foil to Holly. Holly is a selfless mother who saved a child (Josefumi)'s life to no benefit of her own while Caato is a selfish mother who killed a child (Jobin's bully) solely for her and her son's gain. Each of their sons inherited their mother's ideology and their current goals are based on that. I don't really agree with your explanation for why Jobin would just end up being guided by Caato if the two were both to be present in the finale. As you say, Jobin's ideology is an extrapolation of Caato's. He has taken her ideals to a logical extreme, which is exemplified by the fact that unlike Caato in her flashback, he doesn't just want to save his son, he wants to break the curse entirely. His goals go far beyond anything that Caato has expressed interest in so I don't think he is as dependent on her as you make him out to be. He respects her because his goals are derived from hers, but he has grown beyond her selfish desires to an extent.
For your last point, I believe his final thoughts ended up on Jobin ultimately being the last deciding factor in whether Caato triumphs or not, assuming she'll be the main villain. So while he thinks Jobin has a degree of attachment to Caato that better enables her manipulation, he also implied Jobin will be the key factor against her, therefore that Jobin will have to overcome his attachment and oppose her.
Man, the curse definition goes further, it was said that can be too a friction of dark and light, and in the same chapter of the female rock human mentions, Araki said that silicon and carbon based beings are not exactly a shadow for a light. Araki is mentioning it as most people (Yasuho for example as she narrates the definition) thinks to be a manichaeism nature and he is disbunking this. It could be that the curse is the interbreed of this two species and the possible genetics problems. The friction or curse could be also the very intimate relationship that these two species sometimes try to but never work out, the interaction between the society and the rock humans. Funny enough, its curious that they used the word friction to signify a curse when the protagonist has the ability to remove this, it would be funny if Josuke was the one to remove this friction.
broooooo... this video was so cool... damn. I never really realized the magician valentine theme until you brought it up... and when you started talking about it I realized that Kaato's stand was playing cards and that just made me go "is this your card?" Like broooo! JoJo is just falling into magic and shit for baddie themes?? That's so fuckin' cool! OH! I just realized that with the presumable reappearance for the spin, Valentine and Kaato's connection may be furthered! Cuz like, if Kaato is the main villain than that means that both she and valentine face off against opponents wielding the spin! That's so freaking cool!
As for a final vilain, I just wanted to say that yes D4C and Kaato’s stand share a theme with dimensions, but D4C-love train and Wonder of U also have a shared theme, and while D4C is Valentine’s stand, the stand of the final fight was the love train version, but for the rest of the argument yes
@TryZoid yes they can, but it only works one way, only human males can reproduce with rock human females, not vis versa. Check the text boxes on screen at 7:07
I have no idea how I never considered that the rock disease in the Higashikata family could be the result of rock human lineage. Thinking about it now, I would be incredibly surprised if that weren’t the case.
I like a lot of your points about Kaato being a rock human. But I feel that the finale will be a 3-way battle of sorts with multiple parties converging on the estate for the final conflict.
The aesthetic points about Kaato are pretty silly. Star Platinum is nearly identical to Kars, Crazy Diamond shares heart motifs with Dio and The World, Golden Experience and Tusk both share Killer Queens (at the points when Tusk Act 1, 2 and 3 don't eerily resemble Green Baby) distinctly inhuman, or alien stand aesthetic, and it doesn't take much to look at King Crimson and Stone Free side by side. Araki has always passed down motifs from one generation to the next, usually from antagonist to protagonist- not that Kaato is a likely candidate for secretly being an ace of the support cast. It's just far more likely that Tooru or Jobin (if he survived-) are more likely candidates for the actual final villain. I get that this came out a day before the new chapter- but Mamezuku's demise actually puts the end of this part on a timer- since the loss of a friend in a Jojo part almost always concludes the second act, or begins the third- and specifically draws the throughline of who the protagonist will eventually face in the end.
The aesthetic points are just one piece of evidence in the shared magician theming. If they weren't I wouldn't have included it. The card trick ability is the more important part. Something like a heart motif or shared physical traits don't even approach the level of specificity of a magician trick themed ability based around traveling between dimensions by putting objects between two surfaces. And if Caato is a rock human, then Tooru killing Rai wouldn't be any different from Vanilla Ice killing Avdol and Iggy.
I think the main villain will be tooru, but your teory do got some high possibilitys, still, d4c lovetrain and tooru' wonder of you, got the same theme of redirecting fate Also, mamezuku died in this last chapter, revealing that gappy's bubbles can actually counter WOY, so i dont think tooru is just a random minor villain

it seems very likely that she’s a rock human but i still feel like jobin is the main villain. it’s possible kato will sacrifice herself for tsurugi. this’ll show her love for her family despite being a rock human and mirroring the way she save jobin from the rock disease
That could be evidence she is a villain, and she could be manipulating jorbin.Jorbin has done some negative things but his ideals are like nouriske hhm.I wonder if kaato is this parts valentine, remember when asked who tooked the napkin valentine revealed he took it when nobody else would.
@Allassan Sankara surely it was the song on Tooru's phone that gave it away, not the chapter name? Anyway, the wall eyes being a Devil Palm isn't *that* obvious as the connection between them and stands is only briefly mentioned.
@@a_maxed_out_handle_of_30_chars a lot of people seem to say it is, so I'm guessing either they are talking about the monthly Japanese release date, or the release of the translation. My theory, which is actually just my old Vandal Savage fanfiction, is that living beings tend towards being immortal like jellyfish. However, carbon lifeforms evolved the ability to die so their children could live, instead of hibernating. That's why people in The Bible after Genesis lived 300+ years, they were still taking more time before letting the torch pass on. And Higashikatas, they take less time than average. They're like sequential jellyfish that turn into corals every 2nd generation.
@@sboinkthelegday3892 ok so this took a turn I did not expected, do you mean in the Multiverse of JoJo or is this a scientific supported theory in real life?
@@alucardhellsing5466 It's as scientific as Araki's or Kojima's writing usually is, just a wiki page read away. It's fiction by me but based on stuff like early lifeforms being asexually reproductive that I combine with things that would match Araki's world building like the Holy Corpse, hence mentioning the Bible. If you think about it, a hibernating rock human would evolve that much slower than humans, so where did they come from?
@@sboinkthelegday3892 I love when Araki has his own takes like these on evolution and human history which makes me glad he's made a new universe to mess with so it gives us very interesting beings such as these

It feels very natural and also now that we know Gappy uses the spin, kaato’s nest hair and Tooru’s hair all feature some sort of rotation and I wanna see where this takes us. Maybe kaato and tooru use the spin in some way as well
Her stand might be "We Will Rock (Yo)u" or "Rockin' the Paradise". The first one is a *Queen* song that's really just a string of personal attacks. The second one is a Styx song with both "rock" and "king", except the "king" is incomplete, false; the title of the song could also refer to whatever her plans for the Higashikata estate are.
Wow. I already was of the opinion that Caato would be the main villain, but this just convinced me even more. One thing worth mentioning that you forgot is that immediately after Damo (who could be considered the main antagonist of the first half of the story) dies, Caato is introduced just a few pages later. There's just one issue, though. I find the idea of her using Locacaca to fight off sleep as being a more compelling angle than "she just didn't sleep", but the question then becomes "How did she obtain the Locacaca?" At first it sounds like an open and shut question: She just got it through Jobin, because Jobin was heavily involved with the Damokan group, and the two of them would stay in contact often while she was in prison. But that creates a problem. Jobin himself only became involved with the group after Yotsuyu contacted him at the baseball game, which was long after Caato went to prison. Furthermore, that means that Caato didn't ask Jobin for the fruit, but Jobin had to have told her about it. (This doesn't mean that she didn't know about the Locacaca, but that she couldn't have known that JOBIN knew about or was involved with it) Basically, if she was using the Locacaca, there is no way she was getting it through Jobin, at least not at first. The only explanation is that she was getting it through the Damokan group, which is interesting since it recontextualizes Jobin's initial meeting with them (she might have been the reason that Yotsuyu contacted him to begin with)
I really want to say a lot more about your comment but I'm just gonna drop my posts here because they're pretty related to what you've said: fauzhee10069.tumblr.com/post/622181774229962752/jojolion-cardspiracy-caato-as-the-mastermind fauzhee10069.tumblr.com/post/624140284345876480/jojolion-what-actually-happened-in-mamezuku-rais fauzhee10069.tumblr.com/post/627086293711667200/is-caato-a-rock-woman-jojolion fauzhee10069.tumblr.com/post/619713962055024641/from-legit-hyped-to-be-overhyped-caato
Okay so I know that this was probably thought of in the writing of this video but since it’s not blatantly stated I thought id say it here. If Caato is a rock human than Joshu’s social awkwardness can likely be at least somewhat attributed to his rocky genes and if he continues down the path he’s currently headed towards then he will likely grow out of this and finally have a stable relationship with Yasuho and maybe even Josuke which matches up nicely with some of Jojolion’s themes and the characterization of some rock humans which I thought was neat.
My theory is that rock humans gain requiem stands by grafting their balls onto humans and letting them grow stronger, then grafting them back on. I call this my The Nard Harvest Theory. What we know about grafting is that it's used to let a branch grow in a foreign host, and then moved back out. That's not Josuke's deal right now, since we've been assuming this is the person he is now, as the person he has become. Hear me out. I think Tooru is actual Josuke. The actual JoJo of this arc. This whole series is a curveball. I think Josefumi was already a mix of two people, including Tooru. Josuke has been backtracking the offscreen "real" Jojolion, and the upcoming twist is that if anything, he truly is the Kira of this arc and impersonating Josuke succesfully this whole time. That's why Yasuho was so intrigued, since Josuke has always been 1/4 her ex, and even has one of Tooru's testicles. The dead Kira body was brought to the hospital to regraft Tooru's parts into the person still locked away there, and that's where Tooru appeared from so suddenly. The third guy who was half of Josefumi was a rock human who steals stands, like a parasite stealing honey from a beehive. And that guy also has one remaining nad, just hanging around. There's going to be a regrafting. Tooru has been using a composite stand that works a lot like Bites The Dust or even GER affecting Diavolo, but ultimately he's going to get his half of Soft & Wet back by fusing with Josuke. And the other reamining guy, he will have the balls of Kira and somebody a lot like Diavolo combined. Somebody who sleeps under mattresses, by the way, a lot more awkward than anything Joshu ever did.
@@Jimmy-vl1il she's not fully blind. She fell into one of the faults before the wall eyes had come out, she then gained a stand and slowly began losing her vision.
I think Kaato's stand will be called "Black Queen" (reference to March of the Black Queen) and Holly's stand "White Queen" (reference to White Queen (as it began)). Both songs are QUEEN songs, and it would play to the duality to how they act and are seen by their kids.
Im pretty sure Kaato would have aged from the time of the flashback to when she was released from prison... There would be an in world exposition of how weird it was that she looked so young otherwise.
I agree, Caato looks young is because we see her that way (as readers), she looks pretty younger than early Holy during her first appearance... but later Holy (when she finally met Josuke) also looks as young as Caato (for 52 years old). I think it's just how Araki draws them rather than in-universe relevance. Unlike Lisa Lisa who purposely looks young in-universe thanks to hamon. The story even recognized her youthful look (through Joseph): mangadex.org/chapter/2109/3 The problem with Caato is that her supposedly youthful look wasn't confirmed in-universe, her family reunion scene (JJL chapter 58) should have been great opportunity to show that. Joshu & Daiya didn't remember her as mon, Joshu should have said something like this when he met his mom for the first time after her years long absence: "No way you're our mother, you don't even look much older than my big sis (Hato)". Hato even said to Josuke about her (Caato) including her age (52), yet Josuke didn't react to her appearance as well. I excluded Daiya because she obviously can't see her well.
With a strong theme of combining, I would not be surprised if Kaatto had a relation to someone from Part 7, to bring all major family lines together a one single moment of time. Either a daughter, cousin, or grandaughter depending on her lifespan as a rock human or hybrid, would be a nice way to directly bring what happened to Johnny to present events without having to rely on second hand stories about the events.
I think I remember someone pointing out that she extremely closely resembles a background character (they assumed might have been Valentine's assistant) from the Green Tomb arc of SBR (I think), additionally citing the rock humans' draw to positions of power and the opportunity for a parasitic relationship w/ POTUS (considering his unfaithful, homosexual first lady). On top of that, Kaato loosely resembles the female U.S. government agent depicted retrieving the Holy Corpse from Morioh in the speech bubble of the guy telling Gappy the tale of Johnny Joestar.
Moments before the plane door hits, a lion jumps out of a playing card, instantly killing Tooru, and derailing the entire fight more effectively than even a rock insect ever could. Why was the lion able to avoid the calamity, you ask? The lion is actually a colony of rock single-celled organisms, now referred to as [Daba Dee Daba Die], thus causing Wonder of U's list to exceed its limit, and deactivating its ability
At this point people are starting to lose track of what "Main Villain" actually means. I think it's because they're so caught up with monthly releases that they just forget everything that's already been established beforehand. Main Villain apparently means the person who gets to fight Josuke at the end, not the person who caused a majority of events in JoJolion in the first place.
So did everyone just forget about the BITES in the earlier chapters that granted Yasuho, Joshu, and Josuke their stands? Am I just forgetting something that was explained already? Because at this point, fucking Johnny's corpse could be going around biting people and granting stands if he also became a saint. Which would be insane, but I wouldn't put it past Jojo.
you prolly make my fav videos on youtube, it’s hard to put into words how actually amazing they are, whether it be ur ability to dive so deep into lore or something else incredible, u really know how to give me that feeling of truly having my mind blown
I think that, to explain her missing all these chapters AND being able to work all these days in prison is that she controlled herself during jail and is only now having a super nap so she can be fully charged in the finale.
The real final villain has been in front of us all along. Think about it, what nearly killed Kira in DiU and allowed him to nearly win in the final fight? A cat. What’s the perfect villainous counterpart to a cat? A dog The dog will be the final villain to sate Araki’s need to kill dogs
I want to add a detail in the Theory All of the rock humans we see with a stand have a strong power I am a Rock with the Gravity, Vitamin C with the softing power and Wonder of U with the "Love Train Inversed" power Love Love Deluxe is a "weaker" stand in that group, ¿Its versatile? Yes, but not that powerful The stand of Kaato is a dimensional power, and that all we know, maybe he can trap people in a "dimensional bag" with their ability and a more large object to "save" the object. (i am from the latin america community of jojos, sorry if my gramatics is a fucking trash)
Imagine if in the anime whenever an object effected by Wonder of U’s ability would come into the shot, what if we hear a train horn whizzing by, like a doppler effect?
I think that jojolion is the first part that i have to reread becouse the narrative is so complex compared to other jojo parts, this is why that’s my favorite part, we are in the finale and i’m still missing parts that have been stated in the past
Amazing as always. I don't know if you've talked about this before, but do you think the fact that Norisuke I from Steel Ball Run has two belly buttons could be relevant to this? Someone proposed that the original Norisuke could have been a fused human like Josuke, since they seem to emphasize this fact.
It's definitely just a random weirdness of Jojo imo. The reason why Gappy has 4 testicles is because of not only he's being burried near Higashikata state, but also as a result of eating a special grafted fruit techniques. So, unless we get a clear evidence that Norisuke I has access to not only Rocaca, but to someone skillfull enough to do a grafting to the degree of Josefumi's original Stand, then we can list that double belly buttons as just Araki's usual bizzarre-ness
Wow, yeah, I've finished JoJolion, initially this video sounded like coping about Tooru being the antagonist, but, halfway in or so, you got me. I think she was a Rock Human now, yeah, but a mystery left unresolved to fit into the mystery nature of JoJolion. Totally explains the rock disease. Part of me feels like there could have been further plans but Araki didn't feel a Higashikata being the antagonist to work for the story. The main villain Stand theme seems to be about twisting fate/outcomes and whatnot.
Really liked the theory but now that doesn’t explain that if Kaato is the villain why Josuke would get a power up in the wonder of u fight. Due to that fact I personally think that Kaato wouldn’t be a final boss like Funny Valentine but more like high voltage Diego
I really think there was a build up of Kaato Higashikata being the mother of Tooru. They even have the same hairstyle! I don't know what happened with the end of Jojolion but a lot of interesting ideas has been discarded that could reinforce its message. I'm with you my man
I strongly believe that if everyone other than Jobin end up being the villain it will be a MASSIVE waste of oportunity Jobin is one of the most well written characters araki ever done and it would be a very different villain to everything he has done at this point. We know his habits, his traumas, his hobbies, his ideals and his objectives He feels human and even his stand seems less threatning than most of the minor villains. He would end up being an EXTREMELY interesting villain to see trying to win

Villain-ception
Kaato may fulfill a role similar to Dio in SBR...
Or Jobin, maybe...
Damo was never really a minion for Tooru, he was more or less running a separate operation. It's more that the way Damo's Rokakaka was transformed made Tooru and his ring take interest in it and begin pursuing Josuke and the Higashikatas.
I mean he killed akefu and had wonder of u copy him
I think it will be like the alternate Diego thing

Ok, pretty compelling theory as always, but I have a few comments:
First in regards to Caato being a rock human, you bring up the fact that it would tie the two halves of the story together, but I don't think we even need one of the characters to be a rock human in order to accomplish that.

You see, the problem is that your prediction made sense, in any other manga that would fly, but this is Jojo

I like a lot of your points about Kaato being a rock human. But I feel that the finale will be a 3-way battle of sorts with multiple parties converging on the estate for the final conflict.
Definitely a possibility
Let's not forget that for the most part of sbr there were two main villains.
A fucking guardrail
Now we can conclude it was the guard rail.

I really hope Kato's stand will be named either Queen: We Will Rock You or Queen: It's a Kind of Magic
I find the idea of her using Locacaca to fight off sleep as being a more compelling angle than "she just didn't sleep", but the question then becomes "How did she obtain the Locacaca?"
At first it sounds like an open and shut question: She just got it through Jobin, because Jobin was heavily involved with the Damokan group, and the two of them would stay in contact often while she was in prison. But that creates a problem. Jobin himself only became involved with the group after Yotsuyu contacted him at the baseball game, which was long after Caato went to prison. Furthermore, that means that Caato didn't ask Jobin for the fruit, but Jobin had to have told her about it. (This doesn't mean that she didn't know about the Locacaca, but that she couldn't have known that JOBIN knew about or was involved with it)
Basically, if she was using the Locacaca, there is no way she was getting it through Jobin, at least not at first. The only explanation is that she was getting it through the Damokan group, which is interesting since it recontextualizes Jobin's initial meeting with them (she might have been the reason that Yotsuyu contacted him to begin with)

*Tooru
@@Jimmy-vl1il well same thing but yes
The rock gene defection could also explain Daiya's near blindness, idk
She got blind after getting her stand In pretty sure
@@HonerableG no she got her stand because she was blind i think (she wandered off into the wall eyes because she couldnt see)

Plot twist: The final rock human is none other than DIO himself
AU Diego's corpse got mixed with that of rock humam by the wall eyes, lol
Im pretty sure Kaato would have aged from the time of the flashback to when she was released from prison... There would be an in world exposition of how weird it was that she looked so young otherwise.
I agree, Caato looks young is because we see her that way (as readers), she looks pretty younger than early Holy during her first appearance... but later Holy (when she finally met Josuke) also looks as young as Caato (for 52 years old). I think it's just how Araki draws them rather than in-universe relevance.
Unlike Lisa Lisa who purposely looks young in-universe thanks to hamon. The story even recognized her youthful look (through Joseph): mangadex.org/chapter/2109/3
The problem with Caato is that her supposedly youthful look wasn't confirmed in-universe, her family reunion scene (JJL chapter 58) should have been great opportunity to show that. Joshu & Daiya didn't remember her as mon, Joshu should have said something like this when he met his mom for the first time after her years long absence:
"No way you're our mother, you don't even look much older than my big sis (Hato)".
Inb4 Kaato turns out to be a Brando
I think I remember someone pointing out that she extremely closely resembles a background character (they assumed might have been Valentine's assistant) from the Green Tomb arc of SBR (I think), additionally citing the rock humans' draw to positions of power and the opportunity for a parasitic relationship w/ POTUS (considering his unfaithful, homosexual first lady). On top of that, Kaato loosely resembles the female U.S. government agent depicted retrieving the Holy Corpse from Morioh in the speech bubble of the guy telling Gappy the tale of Johnny Joestar.

what if the real villain was the friends we made along the way?
Maybe the real villain is a literal lion that got loose off Morioh Zoo
By their logic Diego should be SBR main villain
Is a guardrail..

More like:
I don't wanna read this I don't wanna cry I don't, don't do this to me Araki-lion
you prolly make my fav videos on youtube, it’s hard to put into words how actually amazing they are, whether it be ur ability to dive so deep into lore or something else incredible, u really know how to give me that feeling of truly having my mind blown
If every higashikata has king in the name of their stand that probably means josuke will get king crimson (this is a joke dont @ me)
King of Rock and Roll
Every single one of your uploads is an absolute treasure.
All hail to the March of the Black Queen, Caato Higashikata!
The Bell has finally rung. AeonGalaxy Users Assemble here. This is a sacred ground
Your videos are literally amazing. Thank you for being so passionate on this under represented part in the community and sharing that passion with us.
I think that, to explain her missing all these chapters AND being able to work all these days in prison is that she controlled herself during jail and is only now having a super nap so she can be fully charged in the finale.
I’m in love with this video! Great work!!!
The comments here aged horribly
The real final villain has been in front of us all along. Think about it, what nearly killed Kira in DiU and allowed him to nearly win in the final fight? A cat. What’s the perfect villainous counterpart to a cat? A dog
The dog will be the final villain to sate Araki’s need to kill dogs
Offing Rai Mamezuku counts as killing a dog
Bonus because killing off a jobro too
Just a thought. What is Joben's Speed king already touched the Rokakaka
Doesn’t matter. Touched or not. It ain’t eaten.
Will you ever consider bring back chapter analysis? I really enjoyed hearing your initial thoughts in video form for the few months you did it
Sorry, but they were way too time consuming to make.
@@Aeonstar ah that's ok, not overworking your self is way more important than making a panel by panel dissection of wasp babies
Press F for respect.
I want to add a detail in the Theory
All of the rock humans we see with a stand have a strong power
I am a Rock with the Gravity, Vitamin C with the softing power and Wonder of U with the "Love Train Inversed" power
Love Love Deluxe is a "weaker" stand in that group, ¿Its versatile? Yes, but not that powerful
The stand of Kaato is a dimensional power, and that all we know, maybe he can trap people in a "dimensional bag" with their ability and a more large object to "save" the object.
Maybe? Probably was just a one-off gag though.
Spoilers of jojo 8:
Joshu favorite barber is the main villain and Joshu dies after he realized how his hair looks like
Really liked the theory but now that doesn’t explain that if Kaato is the villain why Josuke would get a power up in the wonder of u fight.
Due to that fact I personally think that Kaato wouldn’t be a final boss like Funny Valentine but more like high voltage Diego
That is just what I was thinking
I really think there was a build up of Kaato Higashikata being the mother of Tooru. They even have the same hairstyle! I don't know what happened with the end of Jojolion but a lot of interesting ideas has been discarded that could reinforce its message. I'm with you my man
No its the GUARDRAIL
I genuinely feel like this was supposed to be the ending twist for Jojolion but maybe scheduling conflicts forced Araki to cut it short
Hes back
I strongly believe that if everyone other than Jobin end up being the villain it will be a MASSIVE waste of oportunity
Jobin is one of the most well written characters araki ever done and it would be a very different villain to everything he has done at this point. We know his habits, his traumas, his hobbies, his ideals and his objectives
He feels human and even his stand seems less threatning than most of the minor villains. He would end up being an EXTREMELY interesting villain to see trying to win
^This.
Welp he looked at Tooru and had is life expired
The true villian is the OG rock human, Kars.
If Kaato was a stock she would be through the moon on Sunday
Great video. Makes what Araki is thinking a lot clearer
