Lyrics:
And you
Can bring me to my knees
Again
All the times
That I could beg you please
In vain
All the times
That I felt insecure
For you
And I leave
My burdens at the door
But I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
All the times
That I felt like this won't end
It's for you
And I taste
What I could never have
It was from you
All the times
That I've cried
My intentions
Full of pride
But I waste
More time than anyone
But I'm on the outside
And I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
All the times
That I've cried
All this wasted
It's all inside
And I feel
All this pain
Stuffed it down
It's back again
And I lie
Here in bed
All alone
I can't mend
But I feel
Tomorrow will be OK
But I'm on the outside
And I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
This was my song..I was deep in depression,I was an addict, alcoholic, was horrible😔..today I'm 1 year 1 month clean and sober!👌💪 but this kinda music hits when your suffering

Going thru the worst depression I’ve ever experienced. Praying I can make it through but I don’t know. I really hope you’re doing well.

The music is pure emotion. This song in particular is basically an anthem for the common person being stepped on by the elitists (they’re actually not elite, just privileged and greedy) in an unjust society.
Peace ✌🏻

Here weekly, Bro.
At 43 it still still hits as hard. I am now a father of two and giving them the life I wished and pleaded for and they will never know or understand. And I don't want them to. Those who went there know and those who made it through that darkness I tip my hat. For those still there, NEVER give up or underestimate how amazing you are! 💯❤️
Dude, we're a generation brought up by a different era and facing a bleak world. The fact that you have given the life we all needed to two new lives makes you a hero in my books. Thanks for posting this, we made it through!
@41, there is something that I realized along the way which is hard to accept. We all make our own mistakes with our children, but we try to make sure they are not the same mistakes that our parents made with us. But that makes it cyclical, because you were present for those mistakes, and its what taught you to be you and be better.....in those ways. Your children will remember your mistakes and try to insulate their children from them. Unfortunately they did not experience YOUR parents mistakes made to you, and thus have a chance of making those with their own children.... and the cycle continues.
Every generation has Light and Darkness. Every generation feels the decay, and the progress. We all made it since before people were people, don't forget the resilience of who 'WE' are, Everything is a teaching event, use them all to move forward and stop focusing on the pain of the past and what was behind. We all have to forgive, even,... or perhaps especially when forgiveness is not deserved. We don't forgive for them, we forgive for ourselves.
I'm 43 and raising two young twins...I hear you bro.
Peace, much love and respect to you.
Much love - let's all keep doing our best.
Times been tough lately but trying to stay positive. Anyone else out there struggling know others are here. We will make it.
I'm here for u. Keep fighting those demons
Don't despair. Don't give up hope. Take a knee and dialog with Jesus The Almighty. Start small and celebrate big. Let Him Lead you through the storm. Whatever happens choose Life.
Amen bro, life sucks alot of the time but it will get better...ups and downs
I don't have much hope, but in with you love
Just keep steppin.

Nostalgia is that ache in your heart for a place that no longer exists. This song Hurts as much as it heals capturing that deliciously painful sound...
Our memories are both a blessing and a curse. They're a blessing because we can smile at the good times we've had and those we've had them with, but they're a curse when we acknowledge that we can never have those times back, or even those people back. We can never go back
Disagree !
Your comment hit harder than the song man! \m/
Nostalgia -- from the Greek morphemes (word parts) meaning "to return" and "to feel pain."
Nostalgia is exactly right, and it's bittersweet.
Be good, man.
Well said!
Love Aaron’s voice it’s so unique and he’s a great songwriter. Glad they are releasing a new album!!
This song gave me a sense of hope when I was battling depression and my inner demons years ago. The last verse was the one that hit me the most and gave me a much-needed breakthrough and push to get my life back on track.
All the times that I've cried, all this wasted, it's all inside.
And I feel all this pain, stuffed it down, it's back again!
And I lie here in bed, all alone, I can't mend.
But I feel tomorrow will be okay.
Yes... Tomorrow will be okay. And it has been okay since that moment.
Thank you Staind for helping me with your song.
Rock music is my therapy and medication for my depression and sadness. It takes me back to a time when I actually had happiness and everything was easier. I’ll forever come to all these old classic rock songs plus many more just for momentary relaxation. It’s like time travel if you will.
I can definitely relate to using these classic rock songs as therapy. I guess it’s a generational thing, but the music of today seems so void of any real emotion.
Same here
I can honestly say that without music, I would cease to exist. Hang in there, maybe one day it will all make sense.

This music became popular in 2000 I was 1st year college and yes I was a neophyte at that time I almost died during the initiation.

Rock music like this will never be the same, miss those days in the early 2000,s whose with me?
Brandi Holt all of music has changed and been greatly distorted into studio created software enhanced garbage. Some of the best rock bands came out of the 1970’s-1990’s. Now it’s a dying genre. Sad. I was very lucky to have seen some of the greatest of all time in concert!
@@IamPreTjenE your right about that,1970,s classic rock was original
The 90s and 2000s were the best time for rock music
Rock will never die. Sure it's changed but the roots are still audible and there are and have been many good bands to keep the sound rolling on. You have to remember that people change also, taste changes and they/we/you and I tune in to different sounds. I'm 60 so I also had the pleasure of growing up and living through two great decades with the seventies and eighties but I still hear good solid rock coming through. If it hadn't of changed in forty years it would have lost a huge audience but now depending on age we can go back and relive it, or be young enough to be listening for the first time. The fact that new bands are still influenced by a past age is enough. If they were simply carbon copies they'd be criticised. It's still rock music and we still love them for doing it and for keeping our memories alive.
with you Brandi...

Hang in there bud, I actually have depression myself, and some days are most certainly, are easier than others... but you just have to keep going, and always remember: YOUR LIFE MATTERS...
I'm here just to say that you never gonna be alone, stay strong and look up. Life is now, we just have only one chance and all we are going to arise again. The show must go on! When you need it, I'll be there for you.
To all those that are lost. To all those that have nobody left, but themselves. To those that have been casted away, know this, you are not alone. Sometimes its okay to be alone so that you can know more about yourself. Sometimes its okay to break away from the pack and go out alone in the world. There are others out there that you can find and be friends with.
That means alot...I'm one of them!

If you are being sincere, slow down brother. Talk to your spouse, let them know what is running through your head (filter it out before you speak, to get a feel before you unleash 10+ years of pent up feelings. Once you speak it, you can’t take it back) If they show concern, it’s a sign he/she still cares. Maybe enough to repair any damage.

Only legends are still here in 2024
Yes ❤❤❤
If your struggling with depression and you feel like you can't go on anymore. I just want to tell you that I will get better.. I was there with you. And I made it. Hold your head up. Believe in God and he will pull you out. He will give you what you need!
thank you
It doesn't matter how we fell brother until is too late ❤❤❤
All have something ugly and beautiful, what's greater in you....
Why can’t music sound more like this nowadays💔
My girlfriend of 7 years just left me a week before I proposed , having a child with her & no family left at 22 years old , I feel alone on this journey... Prayers to everyone solo out in this world 🙏 no one told us it'd be like this...
Hell yeah
Real shit
I mean, I'm good being solo but that's just really sad. Sorry that happened to you man.
Don’t give up, don’t give in.
That fucking sucks dude..... but this would be a good time to reflect.....
I’m sure she didn’t leave without a reason.... it takes a lot for them to leave....
Best to propose first then have the child..
Woke up this morning and these lyrics were in my head.....finally understand what they mean as my relationship has taken a turn
I'm sitting on my roof after completing a 15 year run. I'll say this. I hear you.
For 3 days the last verse was in may head and I couldn't remember the chorus... so satisfying to figure it out
20 years down the drain
Hold on in there brother days always darkest before the dawn
Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we cant "see the real you" until its too late. And many times we're "on the outside looking in" when we had thought we were in. If only the world were free of those that JUDAS. Felt the static of the lightening amd waited on the thunder, the inevitability of life. Thank God for 🎶🎼as it can touch our cores and pull us in any direction. May we all find some awesome tunes and get heading to the places we all want and need!
It's 2024, and this video is still one of the most original out there. The idea of a place that has no dimension and that cut you outside no matter how hard you try to get in...its brilliant!
It’s tough to go back through this album. Like sticking my heart into a hot fire of truth.
If you need to hear this, I'm proud of you💚
Thats the good stuff right there
😢
Thank You For Being Proud Of Me God Bless You🙏🏻❤️
for what?
That's what she said...
There’s no other genre of music that can explain feelings the way rock does

J Dilla instrumentals are on a whole other level. his beats really bring out every emotion you can think of, from feeling good to bad.
41 years old. Still hit this jam on a Saturday night when I'm feeling down.... To feel better in some way only this song can make me feel.
2024 e continuamos aqui ouvindo essa pedrada.
Being in high school in the early 2000s, you just don’t know how impactful this music is, unless you were there when it was brand new. So many memories, so many people that I knew that are no longer a part of my life, it’s such an amazing connection that music can have on you with the past. I love that place, I love those memories, I feel so fortunate that they are mine to have for the rest of my life.
I graduated in 01 and were jammed this and Lincoln park nonstop in Panama City beach!
Graduated in 03 and you're right, if you weren't there then you'll never really know. It was something you just had to be there to understand.
graduated 02 respect to y'all
@@mbyrd9223 same. 03 HS grad. Born in 85. Wouldn't change a thing. Good times. Perhaps the best of times. But I guess many say that.
Anyone still listen in 2020?
Wont ever get old, just a different personal meaning now
We wouldn’t be reading your comment if we weren’t listening in 2020 ya fuckwit
Robert Walker listening this until 2099

Come back Staind! The world needs your music!
Kayla Curnel he never left...he just switched to country.
You are a pretty girl - not the typical howling, fake emotional b**tches one often meets :-)
he's still around, makes more like country music now but it's still pretty good music!!!
He's gone country what's this world coming to
Not
No matter how much time has passed, I always find myself back here listening to the music that reaches in and touches you deep in your soul.

@@tbone8839 thanks
@@beezybeez7231 on it!
This song to me captures the vibe of late 90s/early 2000s, so nostalgic. Conjures up so many memories of the time.
This song has so many memories attached for me good and bad I’ll forever love it
Same here.
