  • As a former agency owner, I share my insights on how to sell animation videos at 3 different price levels.
    ⚡️ Acquire the skills needed for the $5000-game: bit.ly/scripts-video
    How to sell animated explainer videos on Fiverr? How to move beyond that point and create an animation agency-selling videos at $500?
    And what skills and assets are needed to escalate your revenue by delivering $5000-projects to enterprise customers?
    As a result of running an animation agency for 3 years, I've learned a few things about selling animated videos that I want to share-in a simple and fun format.

    1. MY STORY (0:55)
    2. $50 GAME (2:22)
    3. $500 GAME (3:26)
    4. $5000 GAME (5:19)

    6. SUMMARY/CHECKLIST (8:58)
    Many subscribers of this channel have asked about the commercialization of explainers, animation videos, whiteboard videos, etc. How to monetize your animation work?
    I used to monetize animation by selling it directly to customers. First, as a freelancer, selling videos through a friend's website agency. And later as an agency owner of my own company.
    Today, my monetization model is a little different, but I still felt like sharing the learnings from those years. And the factors differ a lot based on what game you want to play.
    The $50 game is largely based on low costs and selling on platforms like Fiverr and Upwork to get awareness around your offering.
    The 500 game requires you to deliver complete animation videos-including script-writing, voice-overs, and animation.
    The $5000 game depends on your ability to challenge clients on a strategic level. And on your portfolio and logo wall.
    If you want to dive deeper into the skills I used to build a 6-figure animation agency, I've converted my knowledge into a series of courses.
    They're all found on RuedRiis.com and below these words

    Great vídeo, Rued!
    You talked about Fiverr and UpWork to find the $50 client type.
    And what about the $500 and $5000 game?
    What''s the best way to find and approach them?
    My last question is: after your agency career, what type of client/company do you think are more likely to pay for the $500/$5000 game?
    Thank you once again!

    • @RuedRiisCom
      @RuedRiisCom  3 роки тому +6

      Well, those clients aren't found on Fiverr :) In the beginning, we worked for our friends and connections, built up a strong portfolio and started getting referrals, as I talk about in the video. Then, we scaled our setup by creating a "price calculator" on our website, and drove traffic to it via Google Ads. That gave us a bunch of leads every week, I called up and scheduled meetings with, if they were genuinely interested. It's like a funnel, you know? At the end, a few of those leads became clients, so it all made sense financially in the end. And my great animators then made their videos, and I went out to me meet more potential clients.

      @@RuedRiisCom great ideas, i'm gonna try it!
      And what about the investment? Do you charge it at the beginning of the project or at the end? I've done more than 200 projects here in Brazil but when i start to sell to other places (like US or Europe) maybe people won't trust me!
      Once again, thank you for your attention Rued!

    Hey Rued. Your videos are really helpful. Can you please explain the license terms of vyond in particular and other platforms also. What I've on Vyond's website, they say that we have to pay them freaking 99USD per video if we sell it to someone. Which I think makes totally impractical to work as an agency . Please help. Thank you.

    • @RuedRiisCom
      @RuedRiisCom  2 роки тому

      I guess that would be VideoScribe. But as you know "it takes money to make money" and the real money is in high-end videos where you need higher-end tools like Vyond. That's what I've experienced.

    Thanks Ruid. But the question is why would any company invest such a huge amount just on an animated video. They can buy vyond themselves and hire an animater for their company. Its not as simple as you are describing.

    • @creatingwithlove
      @creatingwithlove 3 роки тому +4

      Many times companies COULD hire an animator for their company BUT - consider the cost/benefit analysis. If you're only making 1 video a year or 1 video every quarter, the salary of an animator and the benefits you'll need to offer them to get them to work with you is far MORE than you'd pay to hire a company to do animated videos.
      Furthermore, the in-house animator may not be a great voiceover artist or may not know multiple languages, so that's something the company is still going to have to pay more money to do.

    • @RuedRiisCom
      @RuedRiisCom  3 роки тому +4

      I agree with Brandy, and I think of it like this: If you want a car, you don't go out an buy an assembly line and hire a mechanic. ONLY if you need A LOT of cars, right? So, the thousands of companies that only need 1-2 videos bought them from us, and the many companies who need videos on a weekly basis buy a Vyond license and train staff internally to produce them.
