Take a steamy shower, use oil to soothe your scalp... I used Cantu. Lol... this was my first ever video and these comments...wow... anyways #YoureWelcome
Girl its Sunday! I got these tortures in Friday. If I didn't pay 190.00 I PROMISE YOU I would have took this out!!!!! NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. They could be doing faux locs for free and I will PASSSSSS!!!!!!!
do it yourself next time! i am horrible at braiding yet i did it myself (with UA-cam tutorial assistance) and the are just as good as getting them professionally done just less painful!
Okay. I had mine done too by a girl I Know. She charge me half price but I gave her tips. Mannnnnnnn!! They are pretty n neat but the suckers are devilish right now to me.
(VERY DETAILED ) Did my goddess locs today I’m Inlove 😭😍 but no seriously if you have goddess locs and afraid of the curls at the end getting messed up because it synthetic just boil you a pot of water make sure it hotter than your bath water you take a shower with lol but anyways get a pitcher a towel and a long body mirror , pour the hot water in the pitcher take everything with you to the bathroom angel your mirror in side the tub so you can see what your doing , spilt your hair in four section take the back section and bring it to the front old the hair up by the ends of the locs tilt your head and slowly pour the hot water along the locs go up however far you want to go and that should do the trick of loosening them up and take the stiffness away . Hope it works .
For everybody complaining about the pain y’all should get regular knotless or box braids wear them for a while a couple of weeks even a month then wrap them like you would regular faux locs and it won’t be as tight and you get a second style with half of the time
people need to stop going to these bad hairstylists,it is not the hairstyle...they just do it too tight, why pay such a high price for something you can do or at least try to do yourself,it shouldn't hurt at all if it's a protective style, this is why i never let anyone touch my hair smh
@@bunny8995 I do this on my self all the time. But I use marley hair for a natural 4c look that matches my hair, so its usually stiff for a little while.
Natasha Clark I got my locks done yesterday and they hurt so much the lady's told it might hurt but I really wanted them and now I can't sleep I'm eleven
Thank you for this video. I just got mine done today for the first time and for the last time. 😫😫 I don’t know what I was thinking. But I really appreciate this video. I will be doing your steps tomorrow. Thanks Sis!!
Your faux locks are very pretty. Whenever I get braids or twists I get in the shower the same day to loosen them and break down some of the stiffness. I sleep using a large clingy type scarf that allows me to have a little cushion and it relieves some of the uncomfortableness.
I took mine out and they pulled my hair out horribly. 😫 Those are not recommended by me AT ALL! I regret paying the money and sitting there allowing my soul to be ripped through my scalp! 😂😂
Today I used that greased and it only helped a little I was having the same problem with "EXTREME" stiffness how I fixed it was dip it in hot boiling water !! I guarantee you your hair will have movement to it !
Wow, I just got mine done yesterday and they do not hurt at all! I slept good, and can put them in a bun already.....I’m not sure why a lot of people experience a bunch of pain? I used the water wave curly hair and its so soft & bouncy! I love them
😄😄. I have to lol. Because it's the same issue I am having right now . they said put your braids in hot water well it only help a little. But I know I am going to be having problems to sleep.
@@shellyanncato9996 lol good luck. Faux locs are so cute, but i think I’m gonna just stick with plaits/braids 😬😅. At least with braids, the tightness only lasts for the day you get them and then a little bit of the next day
I thought I was the only one I’m like let me make sure I’m not having an allergic reaction to this hair because it hurt so bad! I done popped plenty Tylenol 🗣EXTRA STRENGTH 😫😖 I don’t feel safe driving it hurt to turn my head smh
Got mine done last Saturday and I let the warmest water that I could tolerate run thru my scalp and it was a relief. They hurt so bad! It's day four and it's much better but yes the oils help a lot too! I use a mixture I made with coconut oil and tea tree and rubbed that all over my scalp. Then added some Jamaican black cast for oil around the locs that are on my edges.
I am doing this asap. Its day 4, and these faux locs are hurting sooooo bad. Im not tender headed, and have thick hair. But these hurt soooo bad. This is my 1st getting them, and i probably will never get them again. Now i gotta figure out how to take them out.
Never again. Before I got them I search UA-cam and found not one of these videos. I can deal with the braids not the locs...how long does it takes for the locs to not be so sore and tight.
Thank you for these tips❤ I am so glad everybody in these comments was in pain too! omg I'm not tender headed, but man! my head feel like someone tenderized my joint with the damn meat tenderizer!😭😭 steam it is!!😆😆🙋🏽♀️
These comments are just killing me😂😂💔💔 The first time I did it, it wasn’t so bad BUT THIS TIME💔💔💔💔 it’s with a different person and yo!!!!! I’m in pain... I even had nightmares last night at the few instances I was able to fall asleep
I do it myself so i can judge how tight it is. really easy and way cheaper/less painful. plus I think it looks more natural when you can part it yourself. then again I like the natural messy look
try doing it yourself next time! i am shite at braiding but it still came out just as good as professional (i think better because i prefer natural messy look to the tight clean parted look that the pros usually do) way less painful and cheaper
LoveBugAlexis lmaoao it was a constructive comment. when you talk too much about something that has nothing to do with the video you tend to lose people’s attention. leave my comment alone. tf 😭 we came here to hea how to sooth dreds. especially when you’re in pain you’re not trying to hear a long long story you just want to hear what’s going to make it better. i rest my case, thank u, next 😭
It hurts so bad because they are wrapping it so tight at the root which is not good I'm actually doing my own at home tomorrow but I hear that if you dip them in boiling water that helps the stiffness
I never heard about the pain at all . all I heard they were nice etc.and I see people showing off like nothing is wrong. But oh my Lord. I already pop some paracetamol and steam them with water . feel just a half inch better.
That is so crazy cause did the same thing even before watching your video. I oiled my scalp, but I just used olive oil and got in a steamy shower and yes they are looser. Still hurt through a bit. lol
I have goddess locs and they hurt so bad I oiled my scout earlier today I’m going to try to take a shower and see how it goes but I hope the curly ends won’t get frizzy
If your ends are synthetic you can wet them just make sure you put some sort of a leave in conditioner on them so that you can come in through afterwords and then wipe them dry with a towel works for me.
Yvette Ceron I have synthetic curls on the end of my goddess locs and I just got mine did Thursday 10/26. It look so dry and stiff now with em steady pulling theirs apart because they are getting stuck. What I’m trying to ask is what product can I use to make the curl pattern look healthier or more moisturized but at the same time keep the curl pattern and also the locs?
Ne-Ne Scott wash them and put a detangler on your ends. “Rake”comb them with your fingers. Occasionally I used a paddle brush just to smooth them out. Rinse out conditioner. A lady at my local beauty supply store recommended using On Natural’s Premium Oil Free Curl n Wavy curl defining conditioner & detangler every day on my synthetic ends. It works wonders. Hope this helps.
AimzDaDimeDiva I tried both I put oil on them then I dipped the end in hot water and it stop the stiffness of the hair but it's still tight but I'm able to style it better now. Thanks

I just got mine done and it was the most painful experience. Never again!!! Not worth it.
I did it yesterday and I spend one of the worst night of my life
I totally agree! NEVER AGAIN.
I got mine done Saturday and they're still painful NEVER AGAIN lol but they're cute though
Honestly
it's really easy to do it yourself and significantly less painful lol. mine last just as long and i cant braid for crap.
Skip to 2:20 for those who wanna get straight to it
Thank you!!!!!
Thanks my head is on fire right now!!! Ahahah

Or just get crochet faux locs that’s what I did a couple years ago they’re painless and you can buy the soft locs so they’re not stiff.

I didn't sleep so much pain. Got them done yesterday
Drip them in hot water like you would box braids

I do it myself so i can judge how tight it is. really easy and way cheaper/less painful. plus I think it looks more natural when you can part it yourself. then again I like the natural messy look

after you put the scalp oil on can you just dip your faux locs in hot steaming water
Bridgett Thompson no, you are trying to reach your scalp...you'll burn yourself if you do it that way
can you people just summarise this? no offence but she’s talking too much, sis i’m in PAIN
Hot water and you don’t have to make it tight
I just did some goddess locs but I just realized that I can't dip them in hot water because of the curls on the ends. Now I don't know what to do 😕
Nella Grayson you don't need to dip them in hot water...you just need the steam at the roots
