FIXED! TCL 55 Inch 4k TV - Screen Cycling through Colors after a power surge.

Had a power surge. Turned my TCL 55 Inch 4k TV on and it would only cycle through colors. Only response from the remote was being able to turn the tv off and on again. This video shows my simple fix.

I just bought a tv 2 days ago and it started doing this. I’ve been looking for 3 1/2 hours to fix this and have been going through different rebooting methods (Plugging in my laptop, rebooting into factory mode, etc etc) and FINALLY found this video where someone literally just unplugs and replugs their tv back in. I feel stupid for not doing it in the first place.. but thanks for your help, saved me a headache.

For me I Accidentally pressed the Menu button and now it’s doing that. But I have already unplugged it and plugged it back in nothing happened.

I m still facing colour problems on my tv when I connect it with my laptop thru a VGA cable. The TV screen appears in Orange color. I have a Samsung Plasma 43 inch TV

I'm having the same issue with my flat screen and I unplugged it for a couple seconds that didn't help and then I unplugged it for a couple of minutes that didn't do anything then unplugged it for about 15-20 minutes and it's still blinking and this happened after I cut my DVD player off and tried to switch back to regular cable mode or the HDMI so I can watch some regular TV
same for me! I've even left mine cycling through the colors hoping it would finish whatever it is doing and that's been a week now and nothing.
@@lisaferris-stokes2404 as even tried using universal remote and that won't even work maybe there's way to send it 2 the company and they can do something

Any one Plz help getting out of this color changing or burning mode...my tv is JVC 43 inch....i had seen too many videos in utube...but nothing works
Also try plugging the tv into a new power outlet once you plug it out since it’s happening from a overcharge
Good suggestion!
If this doesn’t work, try this. On remote control press up and down arrow once and then press TV power button. Believe me I try all of those little simple tricks and nothing worked. Good luck!!!

@@mtalikabanda this did not do anything. No button pushing gets any reaction at all. Can't turn it off. I even left my tv unplugged for a week and still nothing.
there is also a small reset button on the sides .. you can reset that tv there then everything works fine again .. had the same problem

@@shankhong3134 hey guess what, it happened to my tv again last night. The trick didn't work. Here's the situation, aging mode or burning mode with sound and the I can turn it off and on in the remote control. What I did was, I carefully unscrew the back side, and remove the thin flat connector, all of them but in one side only, I used brush carefully and remove the dust away and put them back on. Problem solved in my case.
@@mytake4231 did that . I disconect the connector n connect it again..in my case I think it's a problem with the display circuit maybe.. I don't have much idea but I'm jus assuming..
