its genuinely so sad to me that anything that isn't a 8 minute dopamine rush video completely flops. please pyro, don't give up on this kinda stuff cause some of us like it a lot

It feels bloated mostly background noise worthy. Not every video is a hit, i myself really enjoy videos that you can get your work done with.

11:33 The combat in the first game was actually a bit deeper than that - you could combine every move - double dodge, dodge in every direction and hit (like you could dodge forward and impale), you could attack while running, etc. Aside from that, there were some combos that flowed into each other, like light-light-hard-light-light or light-hard-light-hard, etc (wish there was time to complete it in a battle though). I hoped they would work on it and make it even more seamless and deeper, but I look at the first battle and see that it's basically the same, just different animations.
Wait this isn't just an edited down slop compilation of the playthrough vod? This 100% should've been uploaded to the main channel, I didn't even bother clicking on it because I assumed it wasn't a real video lmao
I love the new style of review main channel esque videos you've started doing on this channel with this one and the voyager 19 video. Thanks bro and keep up the great work.
In regards to the actual video, the story definitely feels good, and the mechanics are interesting, and it's something I would love to see...on something other than a game, because I personally hate games that are basically "push the joystick and sometimes do something with the other buttons" or as people call it "narrative games" (which kinda defeats the purpose of a game now doesn't it?). I want to have more agency over the character I'm controlling, not because of a low attention span, but because that's what a game is supposed to be, me with full control over a character's actions, wether they have a personality or they're a blank slate. Plus It's been a while since I've cared about the graphics of a game or how realistic it may be, hell some of my favorite games, the return of the Obra Dinn, the binding of Isaac, Persona 5, don't have "realistic" graphics, but they have memorable graphics, wether it's a grain filter, pixel art or smooth anime models. So when developers start gushing about how damn good it looks, I inmediately think "how does it play?". Don't get me wrong, a game can look great and have great gameplay, I'm just saying that living by looks alone is a terrible idea. All of this to say that from the start I sorta knew what this game was gonna turn into, push forwards as cool things happen around you, and I can definitely appreciate the sheer amount of effort it took to make it look this cool, is just a shame that the rest of the game had to suffer for that to be possible, and it's kinda of shame that the studio will probably shut down in favor of more garbage live service games, although part of me wishes that they could go indie, or at least part of the team, because I want more options than "open world game with collectibles and a theoretical plot". Papers please and Return of the Obra Dinn are incredible in regards to storytelling and ambience, and both are basically games about paperwork. But in general I guess I just want games with more to them than just the overall plot or collectibles, I want real gameplay, that makes me want to engage with it as much as possible, and definitely not combat which looks cool (again) but has so little substance that it makes suicide squad seem like a decent alternative. (Also if you're gonna say that return of the Obra Dinn is also a walking simulator, then I'd have to say you're sorta right, but that game actually has consequences regarding how well you deduce things and names, plus putting together the puzzle of what happened to everyone is miles ahead from what happens here)
It's not meant to be purchased for $70 though. You can play it for free if you haven't claimed your free month of gamepass, otherwise you pay 9,99 for a month. Microsoft invested heavily into Hellblade 2 so they can push gamepass. You'd be a fool to buy it when you can just pay 0 or 9,99 and play the 7 hour game within that month.

The game really spells it out, it is in le head, or at least the mythological bits.
The giants are dressed up natural disasters and some human-esque rocks, the Draugar are just human lunatics.
I feel like the only thing they advertised for this game were the graphics. They were so insistent on being like "guys guys look at this game isn't it so pretty it's a graphical powerhouse look at what we did guys" when the actual game is mid as hell
Isn't this the problem with the whole Microsoft's exclusive games catalogue?
(Except the regular trinity of Halo, Gears and Forza)
@@thediamondcutter9185no ? Hellblades the only series that focuses on graphical fidelity
@@MK.DANABNORMAL
I meant something like, they all come out with little to no advertisement, with great promises and big names behind and then... They just exist, nothing memorable.
How can you call a "game" mid if it's literally have 0 gameplay tho?
@@thediamondcutter9185 this is the problem with every modern video game exclusive that isn't from nintendo ngl (which have their own set of problems as well)
That beginning was super good like actually, the whole video is great but that beginning is so wild and kinda tense, nice job!
Hour long slop? Satisfactory
It's kinda amazing how fast Pyro is producing those banger vids one after another... Insane keep it up
Zero likes 10 seconds fell off
opening goes hard. Like the switching audio.
this is the main channel now
Whenever Pyro says “unlucky” I think about his haircut
And that why guys graphics doesn’t matter but only gameplay atmosphere and story and that why INDIE GAMES ARE THE BEST
Bro watched the video in 50x times speed 💀
yep. art style > graphics
“The first thing your ears will pick up, is the music” 33:35
pyro was shilling and whiteknighting for this game the entire stream and now he finally admits it's trash
I really appreciate these small videos on games, i enjoy this style of your content, the main channel takes a long time, and i fully understand why, but i do end up missing it a bit during the gap between uploads. This fills in perfectly. thank you pyro.
It's joever ninja theory. If Hi-Fi Rush can't save a studio then what could midblade possibly do?

I'm not a fan of these cinematic games, games that doesn't require player input and just listen to them talking and talking while walking and walking for hours.
Ngl this might work if this is a Netflix show or a Movie, I would sit on that.
wow its almost like video games arent one single genre
Id watch this as a movie. But i am not paying 50 dollars for this
@@FemboyKaiSaku I'd watch a movie like this , but never play a game like this
@@foatballmanstudios2447 same
@@gothpotato yeah that's subjective, many people like playing interactive movies
its more immersive and you actually can feel the emotions of the character. For example if you was forced to do bad things, it hits different when YOU are being forced to do it rather than just watching it being forced on a movie character
I'm convinced the dark wood video is never gonna come :
I'm glad pyro finally told us his true feelings on pyro live.
Drinking game: take a shot each time pyro says the word "shill".
British narrations are only cinematic once you've reached the age of 65.
