They have armor, it's just less of an issue to some types that others... Since they can stack with damage reduction. Still yes you would hardly find that the issue as compared to elemental resistance that can go to the point of immunity.
What would be closer to what you're saying is "damage resistance reduction", that would actually meaningfully ramp up your damage the same way "damage increase" would. And it has a higher effect than crit dmg because it's total output.

I just don't understand how to apply critical damage by applying all critical damage to all my equipment. I thought I would always get a critical, but apparently nothing came up.
