We are doing things a bit different this time around...We have Other Content Creators in the call (most of who are pretty new to the game) and we are going to do our best to not talk over each other. Pretty challenging but let's see how it plays out.

What is Town of Salem?
Town of Salem is a fresh innovation on the classic party games Mafia and Werewolf. It is a game of murder, accusations, deceit and mob hysteria.
So the Derp Crew decided to head back in time to an Era that wasn't so kind to its Citizen. Where burning witches was legal, and hurting your local jailor wasn't really that frowned upon! We will attempt to deceive, trick, punish, and lie as we attempt to win for our faction and bring glory to our respective cause!

Its always equally frustrating and hilarious how lost junk always is. He really is a chaotic force to be reckoned with for completely the wrong reasons LOL.
I think it gets pretty old by now. I could totally deal with a little bit of confusion, but Junk (who I enjoy in other games) has no clue what ToS is even about. No tracking, no nothing.

Chilled's curse is whenever he's good no one trusts him, but when he's bad they trust him and wind up playing into his hand.

Gotta love that Chilled and Yeti detective work which weeded out the Mafia and Witch ruse, moments like that are why I love watching these Town Of Salem videos.

I caught on to it when Chilled explained it, because his entire logic made sense-given Pjonk basically outed herself as Investigator WAY before Ze tried to claim it... And Investigator is a classic Witch Claim... C: ... Really massive brain on BOTH Chilled and Yeti, that was a 9 gazillion IQ play, holy shit... 9D Chess there... I am impressed!

Chilled went 4D Chess with Rep & I loved every second of it.
A little tip that really helps in these lobbies: reading the role list to see who fits into what spaces is really important as in the first round there was only 1 RT left so 3/4 of pjonk kara rep and ze were evil guaranteed

Chilled legitimately almost threw it at the end when he decided to inno Courtilly, Jailor was guaranteed to kill the other killer and the SK/GF just had to not vote in order for the town to not win.

Chilled, SK can't kill if they're executed. So it didn't matter who was Godfather and SK. Also, the only way evils win that second game is not voting. It's a 50/50 on who Jailor would jail, Skadj executes them, then the other evil kills Skadj. Then it's a 1v1 against you with no alerts. By innoing Courtilly twice, you gave the evils two extra chances to NOT vote, and win. There's no reason Town should've won that last game.
I get the logic but I thought no matter what the sk kills the jailor regardless

2 of the 3 rounds are in this vid that i thought stood out that stream. skadj great jailor in the second one. but yeti the unsung hero, i feel he's underrated whenever he appears in content tbh.

yeti actually pulled off two amazing rounds, not just this one and the second was oh so sweet. plus the same round chilled also got some justice 😉
I didn't watch the stream because my internet suck and I have time difference so when Chilled's streaming, I was asleep. People don't watch the stream because they have their own reasons.

So in the second game, during Day 4, it was clear Yeti was lying (Meaning Skadj could've just straight up exe'd him that first time in jail) because there was no room for a doctor. Random Town 1 was Spy and Random Town 2 was Vigilante/Veteran :) And even if Kara was lying about being the one to shoot Junk, there was definitely a second Vigi because two Vigi shots!
I do agree though, alerting Night 5 was a smart thing. Just on the off-chance someone believed your bluff and decided to go after you as a "safe" kill (Someone they know isn't immune). Though I'm surprised no one picked up on Skadj being jailor earlier lol. Considering Cheesy was doc, he got jailed N1, then was healing exclusively Skadj.

I've watched that BG round multiple time and it's one of the best ToS rounds I've see in this game ever, Best recovery after so many Ls from the previous rounds and a near L om this one. Godspeed!

Glad this session went a bit better than last and had some good moments. Unfortunately ToS can be pretty hit or miss for content, so the last few sessions have ended with pretty lackluster rounds. Overall though I absolutely LOVE this series and hope they all continue doing it

I hope no one in the comments bashes Junk, he did help the town when they needed him the most. Rep is a god tier player who plays ranked all any and can sus out roles like a mad man. You can’t fault Junk when there’s 4 bad guys vouching for each other
Junk actually gets better and better the more he plays and when he does pay attention. I don't fault him for that especially when he is at a disadvantage at his experience level. I'm just saying he clearly doesn't enjoy playing the game and it shows.
Oof that last one, if the evils were smart they wouldn’t have voted each other, I was waiting for them to realize it when they kept innoing them down.

Please don't take this as an attack to you or Junkyard, it's just my two cents on the matter.
I watched Junk's POV of this session on his stream to see why he wasn't paying attention. I ended up feeling sad watching it.
He looked absolutely miserable, says he doesn't like the game, thinks it's stupid and it doesn't seem fun to him. He only goes to this session despite his opinions because he's happier just hanging out with his friends.
Because he doesn't understand what was going on, too busy questioning the mechanics of the game rather than going along with what is happening, and ignoring many of the discussions, leading to stuff like voting up a townie and losing town majority, unintentionally throwing the game for the memes or voting inno on someone evil because he literally just gave up out of confusion. Even when he is winning or gets better the longer he plays, he doesn't seem to be happy as he is too confused to comprehend it.
Chilled, if you are reading this, I get it: Weird players bring hilariously good content, which is probably why Junk and your group probably all agreed to let him join anyway whether or not you know he doesn't like the game or makes weird plays due to his inexperience.
But I just don't feel like it is right for someone to force themselves to play a game they don't like to make others happy or for the content, otherwise that it would end up unintentionally throwing in the process, making it not fun or fair for other players who are trying to win and play the game or the viewers watching it.

I don't think this is a bad comment but Junk's not being forced. A lot of people are willing to play games they don't enjoy because they're doing it with friends. Most of my friends are like that, but I'm not. Some games make me seethe, and my friends understand my decision to peace out while they play League of Legends or whatever.
Junk plays with his friends as his job, sure, but while I won't pretend to know his personal situation, I get the feeling that he's in a position where he could say no if it really makes him that miserable. Sometimes it takes a few months or a season before you can figure out that a game is going to make you miserable *every time* and the time spent getting better at League of Legends or whatever game really isn't going to override the misery of sitting out alone in top lane or otherwise dead for half of every match.
At the end of it all, Chilled isn't making Junk's decision for him and it's gotta be up to Junk to figure out the solution for himself. Again, I don't dislike your comment, but I'm hoping you get why your request wouldn't get warmly received if it all.

First, I do apologised for the confusion in my wording if it seems like the group is forcing Junk to play. I didn't meant like that. It's very clear that Junk chooses to do play anyway despite his opinions and I can understand and even respect that in a way. I'm just trying to think of a reason why the lobby seems to be unaware of what Junk is feeling or why he keeps playing.
Secondly, I figured I might as well shoot my shot and give my observations even if it's not likely to be read or followed since I'm not sure if Chilled is aware of what Junk is feeling at the moment.
But I do agree is up for Junk, and not his friends, to figure it out what he wants to do for himself.
If you guys like this you might enjoy trying out Throne of Lies, it's similar but different.

I had a fantastic coven game it is a lobby going on right now where you have a chance to have lovers and I had an awesome team when I had a lover I was crusader and my lover was doctor me and my lover just agreed to heal and protect each other the whole time and it led to a pretty convincing town win 😂😂😂😂😂

The game is all about lies and deception, and he just blindly trusts everyone, even with everything pointing to them. Like when Junk was Mayor, Rep and Ze were clearly evil, but Junk just blindly trusted them, even when everyone else saw through it.

I'm totally with Junk, I really don't understand how they figure out which is which..
They know by Scumreading, which is reading the actions of a player to know who is bad based on their actions. Typically veteran players use this since they know how the game works and how each role operates.
For example, if a witch finds a mafia member, it is typical for them to whisper early on so that the mafia doesn't out them. Chilled, being a veteran player, noticed this pattern after Ze whispered to Rep, which is why he called out Rep to make sure he isn't a mafia member by confirming his role.
If you don't understand the game, I would either recommend playing the game yourself or watch like tons of ToS gameplay on UA-cam, which is how I understood what is going on lol.
They just knew Rap and Ze were witch or mafia, not neccesarily which is which. Chilled knew thanks to Rep trying to convince him to not self-protect so that his mafia buddies can kill him. Vikram knew because Rep accused him of doing things he never did. Yeti suspected because Ze claims Investigator, yet there can only be 4 townies remaining, and all of them (Chilled, Pjonk, Junk and Yeti himself) are more or less confirmed.
And then there's the fact that Ze whispered Rep, which fueled further suspicion
Rep was trying to convince Chilled not to protect himself, which shouldn't matter since he was getting witched. Witch can't see their whispers, so there would be no reason not to visit Chilled again.
Chilled called the bluff and protected himself, and he should've immediately known that Rep was evil since the night went exactly as he predicted.
Then when he saw Ze and Rep whisper each other, that basically confirmed his suspicions from the previous night.
Also, mildly meta guess on Rep, but LO can't see Witch visits. Rep told Chilled he would watch for Witch. Rep is a Town of Salem vet that is far too experienced to make a mistake like that.
@@alicetheaxolotl There is some hints that Rep does riskier plays or "soft throws" for the content (in this specific lobby to clarify) or to go easy on the newbies. Which is fine, it is just a lobby with friends after all.
My guess is that Rep assumes that Chilled trusts him since due to being experienced one in the group and due to Chilled to being desperate to catch the witch that is witching him. Rep didn't count on Chilled being paranoid af and being good at this game as Rep is.
@@wingerclip1476 Oh yeah, I forgot about those rounds. What I meant in means on being good at his social deduction skills and when he does know what he is actually doing, he's can be dangerous enemy and a powerful ally. Rep knows this which is why he's eager to have him on his team whenever he can or have him on his good side when he's in the opposite team. Chilled not well versed in knowing the roles themselves but they could be improved since it has been years since he touched the game.
So I should have clarified that I should have said "almost".
the fact that you can almost be encouraged to vote Jester bc giving them a win means they are likely to kill who you want...it's a little weird imo...there's no downside to giving the jester the win
I wish there was SOMETHING to dissade you...like if the jester killed randomly multiple people from those who voted for them or reduce the number of nights...like vote the jester, he kills one person who voted him at random, reduces the day limit from 10 to 9 and if it gets there the jester wins solo
Well, sometimes that singular kill from the Jester can make or break a game.
There was actually a game that could have been a Jester-only win if the Jester (I think Aphex?) had killed the remaning survivor left, unfortunately he didn't, but the premise still stands.
Additionally, there was also a recent game which had a ton of killers, and the Jester killed the SK which helped out a ton for crew.

WTF is this play? Courtilly is confirmed SK/GF and Skadj is confirmed GF/SK. Yeti is confirmed Jailor. Skadj was attacked and jail with no kills. Courtilly gets lynched and Yeti kills Skadj.

That's how you know Rep is evil, he figures out other neutral roles and use them with the mafia or sk.
he knows too much, and this knowledge makes him the most dangerous in the group.
I have nothing against rep, I think he is a cool dude. But using other roles to help the bad guys win is so strong.
If town isn't quick enough to catch on, the evil town will win. But it also depends on the roles in the game and who has them.
Also I feel like anyone who whispers to each other are almost always evil. Yes not always, but It seems like how the evil members communicate to each other. other then at night.
I wonder if there if it is against the rules to pretend to be blackmailed. Like you could just not talk one night or even the full game and people will think your inno because mafia would not blackmail their own.
Not only would they not, they can't blackmail their own without a Transporter or Witch.
But that's like saying it's against the rules to pretend to be Vigilante. I mean, you could say you just didn't shoot all game and they can't prove you aren't Vigilante.
If you tried faking being blackmailed, a Spy, LO, or Jailor would prove you're evil. Spy sees that Maf didn't visit you, LO would watch you to catch the Blackmailer and see nobody, Jailor would jail you, talk to you at night, then you'd be able to talk again if you were being blackmailed.
Also, Sheriff and Invest. They see you're evil, and whether or not you're blackmailed, they'll vote you.
And this is just in the Classic modes, Coven expansion adds roles that would make it even harder.
This is basically the same logic as Junk blindly trusting everyone every game.
