You don't get more attacks from the longsword, note the Number of attacks per round stays 1, there are cosmetic attacks on the animation that do nothing, you can disable them from the options. The lower the speed factor the better, but only for initiative order, it doesn't affect the number of attacks.

I see, thanks for your input. I may have been a little confused with what I see on the screen and what actually happens, since you say the cosmetic can be deactivated in the options. I'll look for that to get a honest representation of how it's playing out behind the scenes. What else would be helpful is if the combat log could report the end of each round, so you can see exactly how attacks per round works as well, with the character with the weapon with the lowest speed factor attacking first, then the monster, then character, prior to the end of the round, provided the character has a weapon the provided 2 attacks per round.

@jrsytchannel2022 the log becomes a chaos after a while from all the entries.

@@jondm733 Yes it does. A tab for combat and one for dialog would have been helpful.

@@jrsytchannel2022 indeed, well my guess is the original usage was for dialogue only and the rest of the info for debugging purposes but left it anyway, to hit rolls are normally off.

"Good character" - steals everything blindly...

There's nothing blind about it. Your character's goodness or evilness is dictated by reputation so if it doesn't cost me reputation, I don't see why not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm still a good character even if I steal everything, kill all guards, kill all innocent people but remain with a reputation of heroic level 20, I'm still 'good' and that's what I meant by 'good character'. The reason why I play like this is because I must play like this, in order to get ahead, especially in the early part of the game on hard and insane difficulties. IMO, being good or evil primarily dictates who your companions will be and your reaction adjustment from NPC's (such as vendors and random quest givers) and nothing more, but I do take every opportunity it provides me to financially get ahead, it's important to play this way on hard & insane.

@jrsytchannel2022 the alighment is part of the D&D rules the game is based on, but unfortunately it barely implements it. In a normal D&D game you'd either change alignment based on your actions or get xp penalty for not following it. You simply exploit it here.

@@jondm733 I'm just playing the game the way they made it, sounds like you're critical of the game's creators but I'm not, I'm a huge fan and a long time gamer, so I think like a gamer. If I can get ahead by pilfering a potion that's worth 600g at the vendor, then I'll do it. That's worth at least 2-3 resurrections at these early levels. Don't damn me if your conscience eats at your weak integrity, forcing you to play like an obsequious priest of Tyr or Lathandar. "Sorry but I don't want to steal that potion, for it is a sin and a knight of the most noble radiant heart would never condone to such hedonism..." Oh, please... just take your piety or sanctimonious bluster and send it to the fugue plane.

@@jrsytchannel2022 the game has many, many flaws in regards of rules implementation, and the alighment is a critical one. I understand what it offered at the time it came out was a great success for sure, but it lacks in some aspects.
