To protect this circuit i use a 7.5 amp fuse.
Remember the longer the wire the less amps it will carry.
You will need to measure the length wire and fuse the circuit properly
Example:
If you extend the 14g wire to 15ft fuse for 7.5 amps maximum
16 guage wire at 15ft can carry 5 amp = fuse 5 amp
12 guage wire at 15ft can carry 10amp =fuse 10 amp
14 guage wire at 15ft can carry 7.5amos = fuse 7.5
10 guage wire at 15ft can carry 15amps = fuse 15 amp
Contents: 1 x contact block with magnets 🧲
1 x 12v cigarette socket connector
1 x bullet style connector
4 x heat shrink butt connectors
Refer to video for installation instructions ✌️
The kit comes with mostly everything you need after you install your wiring harness to the rear contacts.

I’ll order one of these with my next AutoZone paycheck. 💪🏽
Is this my instagram buddy? I recognize you. No worries I will send you a kit message me your address on insta! Thanks for watching buddy 🍻
so glad i found this!!! just ordered mine!!!
Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel, I think I just shipped that one out. Let me know if you have any questions. 🍻
Can’t wait to set mine up! Super cool idea.
Yeah buddy , I’ll send you a kit ready to go. I have a few going out Monday! 🍻
That’s a pretty cool mod and setup!
Thanks buddy I appreciate it! Now I need to figure out a way to do this with the jku. Might just add a socket back there if there a wire dedicated to just the center brake light but I haven’t checked yet🍻
Very cool. Well done
I can’t wait to do this when I get home
Thanks for watching buddy, it’s a fun little project 🍻
Nice might have to get this
Awe man this is legit! Thanks for posting. 👍
Thanks for watching 🍻
I want to keep my 3rd brake light. Where could I splice in a switch to power this so I don't have to hold down the brake pedal?
Good question , I suppose you could add it to the positive contact on the tub , so when the gate is closed your third brake light still works , but when your gate is open you can control your accessories with a auxiliary switch! Just keep in mind when the brakes are not pressed but the auxiliary switch is on , your rear brake lights will be on as well because the new introduced power wire will now be in the circuit! This mod is mainly setup for those who no longer use the third brake light and have removed the tailgate light/ spare carrier to install an aftermarket spare tire carrier/rear bumper. Also any power wire you do ad back there for control you definitely want to make sure it’s protected with a fuse. This is why I used a single switch fused relay wiring harness
Great idea bud
Thank you
Do you know the backspace for the wheels on the red jeep? The fitment looks very nice.
Thank you , the rim is 15x8 and the backspace is 3.75 inches, with a -19 offset

I know this video is on the older side, however, noticed these contact blocks are no longer in stock on your website. Are you making them available anymore for purchase?
Sweet vid!
Thank you 🍻
Hi Dustin, On the driver side rear wheel well, after the plastic is pushed out of the way, its nice and open on this side. On the passenger rear wheel well, its a different story and is really tight and I cannot even see the back side of the contacts or which wires feed those contacts. Your video shows you pulling your new wire through into the inside of the jeep on the passenger side but I didn't see how you fed them from the underside and into the interior. Do you have any tips for how to feed a new wire(s) up from under the passenger wheel well and into the inside of the jeep? Thank you!
pull the rubber grommets out with the contacts I found is the best way to locate the wires, as far as getting creative I leave this up to you on how it’s wired. You can follow the wires for the rear brakes and turn, from the front to the back that’s one way. Outside underneath the right back wheel well of the tub towards the back you’ll find part of the plastic is a window, pull that part down and out of the way thats how you access the wiring for the right side brake lights and those contacts. A lot of people like to tap off the wires there for a trailer harness. You’ll need to run one wire from your switched relay to the Power contact and leave the ground alone. As for my set up I ran my wire and protected it along the front of the gas tank tucked up by the bumper.

what gauge wire is running to the back?
@@ATEMOFFROAD thank you so much. I really want to build a rig just like yours. The expanded metal keeps it lite.
@@ThomasTribeTrails are you talking about in the trailer
Just keep in mind wire length the longer the run the less amps you want going through the wire , so if you use 14g at 15ft safely 7.5 amps so fuse with 7.5 or less larger the wire more current can be carried but you are limited based on end connections I run 15amp in my 10guage wire
Hey Dustin I don’t see any links? Am I missing them?
I just updated it buddy , thanks for watching! Hope you liked the video 🍻
