Thank you for dropping some great tips on wheeling 9s and 10s with a manual. I've been hunting for tips/training on that for my rig. I appreciate it very much!
For all the years I've been working on stuff, been a technician, focused on driveability and diagnostics, one of the regrets I have is not doing more to learn basic fabrication and welding skills early on. Not necessarily something I want to focus on professionally, but something I've always wanted to have the capability and competence to do at least on my own junk. Sometimes out of necessity, other times because it simply opens up so many possibilities that aren't there when you either don't want to let anyone you don't trust work on your stuff and/or can't afford to pay actually qualified people to do the things you want. I randomly got hooked on Matt's Off Road Recovery - never having intentionally gone off-roading before unless you count snow fun - and now I'm hooked on this channel and others showing building off-road rigs. It's given me the inspiration to finally look for the XJ I've wanted since I was a kid. But more importantly, it's lit a fire under my butt to finally learn welding and fabricating (or at least sticking metal together and fabricobbling) and expand my skillset. Not only does it feel great to learn, but it feels amazing to know that you have the capacity to build something of your own. And even better, having fun with it when you're "done". So I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration and all of the little tips and everything along the way. I always love to see someone become successful from giving back and it's obvious you guys enjoy it. Have a great day!
I wish I would have started watching your channel sooner. I had a couple of Suzuki samurai's I gust got rid of. But I always come across a lot of stuff that I don't want I'll keep you in mind. I live in Gillette Wyo
@@bleepinjeep nope "knocks on wood" I always use the torch first and since I got my xj running she don't sit still very much lol. The cars at the shops I visit are a different story. Can't torch those but brake cleaner melts spiders without heat lol. At the very least they drop to the floor and then it's time to dance
You are amazing in how you manage to build and blend parts together to get what you need!!! I would not pretend to understand it all but love to watch 👀and listen 👂even though it’s WAY ABOVE my skill set! Thanks for sharing the journey 👍 & safe travels.
Good to see Colt back! I can’t wait to see more content and these awesome builds ! I like the look of those tires I would run them on easier trails but not your crazy 9’s an 10’s lol somethin will break 😅
Congratulations on nailing that electrical fault!!! I hate it when the "experts" can't even appropriately size that current return path to the fricking battery negative terminal. They take all that care getting the hot side to the heater motor and lighter, then ooops - it's oh beer hundred!!
@@bleepinjeep I was going to cut the back of the cab down to the side glass being about 10" long, extend the frame and put a mini truck box on it. Make it into an extended cab Zuk pickup. I had an 84 SJ410K pickup but my son rolled it and totaled the cab,
Funny thing is I found out about that ground for the dash when I replaced the heater core in my 99xj I ended up having the driver side mounting bolt broke off the captured nut in the structure. Ended up having to make a little ground jumper from the dash to the body lmao was interesting
It's nice to hear when you're wheeling don't like when you can't hear because the exhaust is so lawd you can hear the rig better it will tell you how much it can take great work looking for off road video thanks for sharing love the Chanel
I love Suzuki’s too and have been doing a lot of samurai content on my channel. Maybe some day you could come to Alaska and wheel with our local Suzuki group!? 🤷🏼♂️🤩
Can you do a deep dive into how your old/new ride is put together? It’s a cool sounding buggy. I have been looking at a few in my area to start a project with.
Reason for bench bleeding is the master needs to be level or you have a chance of air pockets. It looks like your master is level so your method of "bench" bleeding worked.
Why does everyone inevitably wait until the last minute to get their rig ready to wheel. A wise man once told me "there are no good ideas the night before the game". These are words to live by
Definitely wasn't waiting until the last minute. Unfortunately we have to wait on parts like everyone else and they just didn't get to us in time to finish it. Add that to the unexpecteds that come with custom work and I just ran out of time. Trust me I was dropping 14+hour days on the Sami to try and get it done.
bench bleed because the pedal won't move the piston 100% to bottom out, where bench bleeding will go to full bottom out and get that last little pocket of air out.
@BleepinJeep Colt, Is this the same prototype doubler that Matt’s Offroad Recovery is using for the heavy wrecker? If so, I know he was having a b**ch of a time trying to get his to mate up as well.
I'm not so sure that you lifting the transmission and transfer to reference how light it is shows anything. Aren't you the person that picks up the back of a 68 Buick so someone can change the tire?
Good Show👍
Sam is good stuff, I had 88.5 Steeltop...and others.
Steeltops were cool! Those t-cases are tuff.
Good fun w/Sam, Zuwharrie!!
Luv those little Zuks I can see why you have a passion for them.

Glad to help👍
I loved the way you yanked the sidekick out of the garage!!
Surgically plucked...
Totally extreme!!
😆
man sketch moment looked like that sami was going to whip around and hit the wrangler when pulling from garage
ooopps sidekick lol
Colt: super instructive so thanks for the great education mate :)
You're welcome, thanks for watching
Nice to see you back in the garage working through the reality of a build
Sick, cant wait to see some content of you wheeling Old Mr. White!
Colt's on my hero list. Up there with Rory 🤠
Down to earth lads with good old-fashioned know-how.
Colt has so much knowledge

Yes you can pick it up just like that … you’re also like 8’ tall and bench 800lbs as a warm up 🤫🫣
Colt just likes flexing how easy he can pick up a transmission.
Gotta say, you do some pretty cool stuff!
Wild! I caught the carpet on fire in the exact same spot on a 2 door manual green xj several years ago. Those exhausts are malicious!
I find it ironic that a man whose 17 feet tall loves running Sammy's.
I did notice he chopped his up and made his own headroom 😆

LMK, I LOVE SAMURAIS!
Hey dude, I'm over here in Sturgis. If you ever need that extra hand let me know! I know what it is like doing this stuff by yourself.
Hey Colt.... your samurai buggies are cool.
Thank you
As a sami owner....powered the same as the old one you just bought, I have converted to love these things!
I think I was going to buy that buggy and it got gone before I could transfer the cash! Glad you go it back!
Lmao I do the exact same thing with the torching the spiders. Black widows are on everything here in the desert
Ouch... ever get bit?

Is it really a Samurai when it’s all other parts. Hahah that’s an impressive looking vehicle can’t wait to see it on the road.
In puerto rico they use the intake manifold of a g16 engine Vitara
crazy informative

😂😂😂 Hi Slate and Colt thank you for finally fixing my rig 😊
I live in Custer! Let me know if you need an extra set of hands dude!
fabricating woes, but that's the way it is, can't wait to see it finished
Strange how thing's work out, glad you still get to go to the trails, all the best to you and your loved ones
You should make a video going through all your vehicles
As an old guy with an almost stock 88 tintop I love to see the Samurais on the trails. Great work and its good see you get your old buggy back.
Always wanted a tin top. Maybe one day!
@@bleepinjeep If you want to make a buggy out of a tintop I have a rusted shell.
Actually wanted to make a driver/wheeler with one. But I currently have a few projects ahead of that dream😁

Lucky you didn’t slingshot that samurai into your jeep. 😮😅
I have a northwest fab doubler on my dana 300 rockbox.
I'm glad you found that bad ground in the XJ. Those are problems without simple solutions, you just need to do it the hard way.
Sometimes they can be tough
Great video and keep up the good work God bless from GA stay safe
Awesome video colt

But it's so cute!. I really love the road less traveled. It's hard to find anything that can't be done to a Jeep with off the shelf add ons.

Colt you are a giant. Matt would struggle to lift that trans lol
Lol, yes. Yes I would

A wise man once told me "there are no good ideas the night before the game". These are words to live by
procrastination is alive and well in human beings. But in some cases, it adds drama to what might just be humdrum.

Cruiser 45 for the win again.
Daaaamm idk what to say but ima check up on some of your old videos, I think idk 🤷
If I tried yanking that out of the garage like Colt did, it would of hit the garage door frame and that shed outside, destroying both.
These things aren’t heavy 😂😂 from a guy that moves jeep’s around on trails with his bear hands 😮 like they are toys 💪🫡
That throttle is not from Teraflex, it's from Schwinn LOL.... Wellll that's what I made mine from anyway.
10:35 Let the LIL turbo stream and remove the muffler!! JK but it would have the cool factor!!
That pooooor sidekick, getting yanked like that!!! As a former Tracker guy, that hurt… 😅
It deserved it!

That's not a petri dish. It's a "peach tree dish". Just ask MTG. Just leave it a couple of years and you will be able to harvest yo' peaches.
Please report all issues to Midnight Metal Works. So by the time I get mine all kinks are worked out. 😊
I thought Matt had the transfer case for the wrecker
Matt has the 205 not a 300 and MM doubler
Have you some bad luck and some good luck.

any know the length on the tracker 5 speed 4x4 tranmission from engine to end of trans?
And you run these on propane? Or are they your fuel tank? Colt, definitely a very cool setup
They are propane. Simple fuel injection 😎
I'll background mechanic for you.
Someday, I’m going to build a Sami, so I’m always trying to learn about what I’ll be wanting. My question… what axles are you using?
1 ton axles for unsprung weight and strength.
I'm not so sure that you lifting the transmission and transfer to reference how light it is shows anything. Aren't you the person that picks up the back of a 68 Buick so someone can change the tire?
Hahaha🤣🤫
You are too cool for bleepinjeep. Make your own channel.
😂😂😂
how is the maker for the adpter?
I hope you had time to fix the fuel regulator problem before leaving.
Can you tell me more about the adapter for the sidekick 5 speed cause I really wanna go this rt pretty much this set up lol
It's made by Keith Rice. He does them in group order builds usually.
So whats the parts list on the new samurai
22r, toy 5 speed, dual toy cases. Propane and hydro steering robbed from a broken toyota forklift👍 1990 dodge axles 60/70 w/7.17 gears.
Need to meet up with you some time and pick your brain about my Samaria
I love bleeping Jeep videos but the question i have is are you related to your boy?
Bleeding brakes: ua-cam.com/video/zvyjS91DWWU/v-deo.html
Lol I'm not going to get it done Fook it I'm buying a different rig
When I work under a car without wearing a hat, I bang my head and bleed
I need to go to bed
So you found the one Sami off of Tim Cameron and now you fount the one you used to have…are you usin a Sami app?????
Yup, it's only for androids though🤣
Dude,,,, do something, all I can hear is you struggle to breath for no reason.
Matt already has one!!!
