Yesss for that introduction!! Let them know Jay! The food did look bland I thought it was just me at first lol . Those drinks though, they looked delicious. Even though the Luau was over priced I think a group of friends would have made it more enjoyable. Then again that price was steep so I don't know.
If that price point had been cheaper I'd been cool or if the food had been better I'd been alright but to know we spent over $300 to be there - nah G...LoL

OMG the LUAU on the beach looks so nice! Everyone is dressed so festively. Those Blue Hawaii look so tasty! And that sunset is also super nice! I think it's great that you guys were able to enjoy so much on the property! Loved to know that they use the whole tree. Food looked yummy and the dancing was nice! WOW LUAU was 140 a piece!? Too bad the food wasn't good and worth it :(.
I found the info after the video turns out we paid $164 a piece after taxes...so expensive.

I heard that luau's are expensive. I do want to go to one but yeah that price is high. ESPECIALLY since people were watching from the balcony.
I promised my daughter we would go to Hawaii when she graduates in 2022 so I'm going to have to come back to these videos for all of the tips.
I'd say as long as you know the Luaus are expensive and you set your budget up for it...the sticker price won't shock you.
I always wanted to travel to Hawaii and this video definitely makes me REALLY want to go. One day I want to go to one of their Hula competition!! They say the competition is more of the traditional hula

Oh no! No pig in the ground! I noticed that too. I went to one at Hale Koa hotel on Oahu and it was very nice! Seeing a pig being cooked in the ground was a first for me. It was delicious even though I was on the fence about trying it🤣. May a future trip will be better.
Did you guys have a chance to venture out to try local cuisines/restaurants (like a mom & pop eatery)? I did, had a delicious swordfish meal🤤! I'll never forget that either. I think I tried shaved ice, but wasn't overly impressed.
We did - and that's what made the food taste even worse to me because by that point I had already knew what Hawaii was capable of when it came to food. We've had some of our best meals ever in Hawaii.

I’ve always felt underwhelmed at luaus also. Seeing the pig was cool but better when we rolled up on random families on the beach on Saturdays. Funny thing.. Everytime a family member came to visit it was on their to do list. If I never go to another luau in this lifetime I will be okkkk 😂😂
Hahaha...see, you feel me and we didn't even see the pig in the ground or on the table or on the stage set up as one big display...LoL

The experience of going to the Luau was good I don't have to go another one. I must say when I saw the pig in the ground back in 1997 I was done, just saying🤷🏾♀️.

I would definitely not talk anyone out of it though. It’s part of the “Hawaiian Tourist experience”. Everyone’s opinions are different. Just because I didn’t enjoy it doesn’t mean my family or friends wouldn’t.

I think it would definitely be too pricy for me. haha! We didn't do a luau when we went to Hawaii, even though I know they are the "tradition" when visiting...I think I could kinda tell it wouldn't really be my thing. I'm a cheap date. ha!

Good video, very informative. I heard that Hawii is expensive. I don't mind paying good money for something that is worth it while on vacation. I agree with you T., paying $164/per person for me sub par food is a no no, and didn't get the infamous bbq pig. I call BS; especially if I could have gather my own food and watch the Luau for free99.

The food looks delicious and that blue drink 👀. I guess looks can be deceiving cause you wasn’t impressed with it. I loved seeing the dancers and the guy climbing that coconut tree . But people watching from their rooms for free and paid all of that would have pissed me off, just a little.
They were watching not just from their rooms but from the public beach and all of the public area that surrounded the beach...we were sitting within a roped in area. Also the food was like food produced for a mass gathering - so just super bland...I paid too much money for bland food...LoL
