Regarding the tank bit. It didn't actually have full health. When you spawn units outside of your home base that don't have the 'Rush' ability, it will spawn in at half health and do half damage. This is called 'Deployment Fatigue'.This effect wears off after a few seconds if it is not damaged. But, when you spawn in right next to enemy ODSTs like you did, it will be killed very fast. I suggest in the future to keep that in your head when spawning units. This is to prevent just spamming powerful units to win cheap battles.
Also, a lot of the Y abilities have changed since the first game. The ODSTs place mines now, that are very effective (you noticed this at 42:00). The Vulture now has a very large missile that pretty much decimates any unit you decide to use it on. Also, regarding weird units just blowing up out of nowhere, units like the Unstable Banshee, Suicide Grunts, Wild Hellbringers, and the Wild Jackrabbit have the blast ability. The blast ability makes it so your units will explode upon death. These explosions are extremely powerful, and will kill most units instantly. The blast takes a few seconds to go off, and the units with this ability will usually be glowing a very bright blue or a very bright red.
Also, you can build your own decks at any time (except for in-game), and you can choose what units and abilities that you'l have access to when you're in the game. That is where most of the strategy lies, in what cards you choose to bring into the game and how you choose to use them.
You can't win a fight with two tanks when the enemy has four cyclops. There is a lot of depth to the different units in this game, and just as much involving different strategies.
Also, units like the Kodiak and the Blisterback, are artillery units. These artillery units are meant to be placed outside of the combat, and they'l bomb the enemy units from very far away as long as you have a unit with eyes on an enemy. They are very deadly, and can sway the tide of any battle if you aren't aware.
Also, about changing leaders. If you hit quick match, you'll be auto-selected as your current "favorite" leader. If you hit find match, you'll be able to select your leader and deck before the match starts.
These are just some facts that I thought could prove very useful to you when you're playing. If you want to run some 2v2s, I'd be more than happy to teach you a whole bunch of stuff about this and have some chill out fun on Halo Wars. If no one has answered the random vehicle explosion, there's a glitch in the open beta we're the health on vehicles and maybe units still shows a full bar of health but if you look carefully you will either see half of it yellow or the last quarter is red. So they're taking damage but the health bar isn't going down properly.
Beaver I've seen halo wars before but you make it way better than other videos + packs are like supply drops they want your money

just noticed no one else commented this so i will, the reason you think the health bars disappear or units are just blowing up randomly is because you didn't play the tutorial. If you did or paid attention at all you would realize there is a fatigue on units that you spawn in and they must wait 8 seconds out of combat to get full health unless you spawn them in your base or they have the rush ability. The game isn't as buggy as this video makes it out to be you are just pushing the wrong buttons, which you can view controls in the options btw, and you don't understand some of the mechanics yet which is to be expected from a noob at the game.

Patrick Sheehan was sitting here grinding my teeth like come the fuck on every time he spawned something. If you're going to take the time to make a first impressions, at least know the basic mechanics. The game might be fun but he makes it very unfun

the key to success is always use choppers thats all you will ever need unless theres a scarab
It's called unit deployment fatigue if u drop a unit outside of your base they have half health for 8 seconds if they stay out of combat they get full health unless you spawn them back at home base where they will spawn with full health

The first 8 seconds after you deploy a unit out of your base they have half damage and half life. your tank was at half HP and it was wittled to death.

when you deploy something it has below half health, so they have to be out of combat for 8 seconds to recover

just going to say that you won beacuse the suicide grunts when they die there is an area around where they died that is going to explode if you did not see it try it out i win many matches to just place an wild jackrabbit or an suicied grunt troop and run into many enemies and if they stay in that area they are going to die

your units are dying because they only spawn with FULL health at your spawn, otherwise they need a some time to get to their max health.
i hope we can play as The Flood in the campaign...
If you don't spawn units at base the have half health not full which is why your tank died quickly
If you Spohn them outside of your base they will get a Damaged immediately

my blitz wont connect to the server thing...i was really going to enjoy the seiries agian like halo wars one...ill try to fix it
