It doesn't matter if an artist keeps growing in fame, what really matters is that they keep growing on their own sound, and this clearly is just a mainstream song, I like it but not because of Illenium production, it could have been so much better and if he put a trap or a future bass drop.

@@illnitekrawler Doesnt work that way. They're both different BPM and Key Signatures, so it just won't fit together without sounding kinda garbage. I guess if someone got stems for one of the songs they could force it to work, but it still wouldn't sound particularly natural.

Finally this song got released. This version is decent, but I thought this was an ID by Lost Kings for so long, but turns out to be an Illenium release! I honestly prefer the LK version, as this doesn't have that signature Illenium drop we've all learned to love.

I still love Illenium but I feel like the style that he started off with and I started loving is kinda gone. Even still his last album was just perfect in my opinion but I feel like it just feels different. Great music still, but just sounding a bit more like in the pop genre rather than the initial more dubstep-y vibes. Just a critic.
Edit: I would like to clarify (because I feel like some were misunderstanding what I commented) that I never said his new style of music was bad. I like this song and the other new ones and I’m for sure still a fan, I was just commenting my observations and feelings but I definitely agree that he shouldn’t just stick to one thing and it’s good he’s experimenting. As long as he’s happy with his music all of us will be happy as well and support :)

illenium is branching his sound out, for obvious reasons: to get more people in to his discography. It's a good thing, it allows me to introduce more ppl to him. Now, i can go like "hey do you remember the guy in MOOD, he is in this song". And thats how i have gotten a lot of people in illenium. And when illenium does make a heavy song, it works out fine, to introduce ppl to heavier-darker dubstep
