I love autumn and winter. I am not a summer girlie and when I tell you that every summery warm day that goes by I genuinely say to myself ‘I made it through another day’😂😂
Can we just appreciate the skill it takes to make such an aesthetically pleasing, warm, inviting, feel good vlog. Honestly, Gemma you're so clever and creative. Your vlogs always stand out from the rest, you've got a real eye for what looks inviting to a viewer. I appreciate the work and time you must put in to each video. I'm trying that peach cake! 🤤 Xx
I forgot to also mention that you make the smallest things so romanticized and I love it. It makes me feel more thankful for the little things like cozy weather.
As a mother of a 23 year old! Everything you are feeling and experiencing it completely normal and it gets better honey. You are doing a fabulous job as a mum. Never doubt yourself you are doing great
Raising a child is the hardest & loneliest thing I’ve ever done. I’m sure so many mothers (& fathers) can relate. You’re not alone & we so appreciate you being honest & sharing your thoughts xxxxxx
I used to be a real autumn girl, until I became a mother. I felt 'trapped' in the house during autumn and winter, and I find spring and summer so much more entertaining since I had a child! Still love the cosy days during autumn and winter though, but spring is definitely my new favorite season.
I’m just like you in that my anxiety flies through the roof when my routine is thrown out the window. We got a new puppy two weeks ago….and I’ve been quit depressed and like a lump in my throat also every single day. My routine is THROWN out the window and I feel as though I can’t control the situation. I’ve been trying my best in realizing there is so much control and power in just letting go and going with the flow. It’s so hard but it really gives you peace ❤ also remember people are only showing their good days……not their bad. You are a strong wonderful mom who uplifts soooo many women ❤️💙
Thank you so much for talking about self care! Moms are always taking care of others and it can be draining. Doing a little something for yourself is necessary. We love you!!! 💕
My dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer and i have been feeling completely down. I come to watch your videos to forget for a while before reality hits again. Love u gemma x
I really get the nostalgia thing, sometimes it is just what you need to lift your spirits. I'm revisiting children's books at the moment, but 80s/90s films that come to mind for me are Splash, Overboard, Troop Beverly Hills, House Sitter, Don't tell mom the babysitter's dead, Beethoven, Ghost, Look who's talking and Uncle Buck
Gemma, I love it when you go shopping. I love to see what you have in the stores over in the UK. I hate summer as well. I'm crocheting pumpkins right now, so I turn up the air conditioner and light a fall candle and think it fall. I think every woman goes through what you're feeling. I did 27 years ago. No one really talked about it back then. I'm so glad you shared your feelings with us. That way, you are helping other young moms out. I'm just letting you know you're not alone. Have a great week!! ❤😊
Motherhood is hard and very unpredictable but worth every single moment. Thank you for opening up as we all have good and bad days so its nice to hear we arent alone. Sending you lots of love 💕
I watched your vlog, paused it for a few minutes and thought “Oh Gemma thank you so much again for brighten up my day with your calming and comforting vlog, while i’m sitting on my sofa struggeling with anxiety and my mental health right now.. I carried on with the video and suddenly u start talking about the exact same thing as i am going through right now. I just want you to know, that you are not alone as well!❤️ Btw the symptom you talked about is called Derealisation. It’s very common with anxiety and it will fade away some day. Just don’t think about it too much. Thank you for everything. Sending you so much love from Germany!
loved this vlog, I appreciate you opening up about your anxious thoughts I am in exactly the same boat, I had my little boy 9 months ago and I am feeling exactly how you are feeling now, although it is not nice you are feeling that way but it is comforting knowing that I am not alone, so I appreciate you discussing the real struggles of motherhood 🥰
Hi Gemma, I’m a new follower I started during your mama era. My baby is almost 9 months, so I kind of feel like our babies grew up together virtually. I just wanted to say that I’ve followed many mommy vloggers during my post partum days to try and relate or get some inspiration and you are the only one that makes me feel so validated. All of your rants about motherhood not being as glamorous and easygoing as so many portray it, I feel like it gives most mothers such a false image and as you said makes you feel very lonely. So I just wanted to say thank you for making me and I’m sure I can speak for many others mamas out there, feel seen. Sending love ❤️
Gemma makes me laugh so much and feel rather happy with how excited she gets trying food and drink! Literally love it! She is so excited about life ❤ it’s the little things right?
Aww, it's ok to have those down days. You are human, and it's totally normal! Just make the most of the good days and remember it's a bad day, not a bad life. Everything will be ok ❤
The body/mind separation thing is called disassociation. A very common anxiety symptom. Thank you for talking about the difficulties of motherhood. You are not alone.
When you said you feel like your mind is watching your body, I feel the exact same thing some days. It's weird, and I feel like the day went by so quickly. It means we're exhausted, taking care of a baby is a sacrifice. If you want, try to sleep during the day, even if it's for some minutes, it helps a lot. Sending you strength and love from Switzerland! 🇨🇭 ♥️ Thank you for all the inspiring videos! Oh and also, when you filmed in the store I felt like I went shopping 😂 👍
Everything you said is so right, being a parent is so hard and it makes you feel bad seeing posts on social media that only show the good things... But I think it's more normal to struggle. I have a 3 and a 5 year old and it can still be draining and hard but like you said it's so worth it for the good times! Watch lost boys... I love that! X
Gem, you are just that a 💎 GEM. Motherhood is hard, I struggle everyday with motherhood and I am already a grandmother of 5 beautiful children. Hold onto your values, your habits and routines, that’s what’s going to carry you through. You will feel better soon, much love ❤
I hope you start to feel better Gemma. I'm alot better now but when my anxiety was at its worst it's very hard to concentrate on anything and you feel like you're not there - derealisation. A strange feeling. If not already having therapy it may really help. What helped me (not through therapy, but youtube videos 😂) was understanding why the anxiety happens and what your brain is doing. It really pulled me out of it xx
Oh Gemma, you’re just soo refreshing to watch! 🤍 I can relate to you so much with everything you spoke about motherhood, feeling vacant, feeling like I look like a potato, mixed emotions all the time. You’ve made me feel so much better just by hearing you put into words exactly how I’ve been feeling. So thank you xx
Thank you for being honest Gemma. I remember very clearly feeling how do at the moment when both my children were tiny, I felt like each day was a rollercoaster… the highest highs and the lowest lows! Everything will be ok and you are doing an amazing job, a caring and kind mummy. I loved the music throughout this video, so comforting and the lamp in the kitchen is such a nice touch. My favourite films are ‘you’ve got Mail’ I watch it every September without fail as it’s a cosy autumn feeling and me and my husband watched ‘father of the bride’ last week and loved the nostalgia! ❤ hope that you have a good week x x
We got a grow clock which has a sun when it’s morning and a star at night, it comes with a story which is great 🌞 I always think that when you think yourself sometimes you can fall asleep and feeling like you have had a full nights sleep but when you look at the clock it’s only been a short time. My son used to wake up ready to play so we got something he could understand when he couldn’t tell the time 🙏🏻
hiya Gemma, I know this isn't your most recent video but atm life isn't easy and I just wanna say thank you, because when I am having these low patches you are the first person I wanna watch on UA-cam, Your a beautiful soul and full of positivity just like your family. So thank you for doing what you do . I know I'm not the only person you help xxxx
Movies: -ET -Never been kissed -Willow Also about being vulnerable. I don’t even have kids yet but I totally understand the body & mind being disconnected I get that way too sometimes xx Sounds like 80s movie marathon is a wonderful way to decompress & rest your mind xx keep on keeping on beautiful & thank you for sharing
Don't ever feel alone with the weather, I am British but I live in Spain, so Summers are hot. But i literally do a dance under the rain when it rains. I am the hugest fan of rain, storms etc...i don't know anybody else, only you❤❤❤
Yess I love the rain and autumn time. I’ve always liked that you love that weather because 99% of people I know say they don’t like the rain and find it depressing, meanwhile I find it cozy and comforting 🥰 I also get what you’re saying about having anxiety and feeling out of body when things are out of schedule or hectic. I’m a planner and like things done a certain way, and it always makes me really tense and anxious when things aren’t going according to plan or my surroundings are messy lol this is part of the reason you’re one of my favorite UA-camrs. I feel like I have a lot in common with you 🫶🏻
I am literally looking at autumn decor online today 😂 fluffy pumpkins anyone? You are doing a great job mumma! Just go with the flow and look after yourself x Goonies, labyrinth and brat pack movies all the way. Love the 80s.
Ugh living in the middle east with 35°-40° summers, that storm looks like an absolute dream right now! Luckily I can turn the aircon on and pretend to have a cozy autumn evening with Gemma as well 😂❤
As I was watching you the weather warning went off Here in Texas Thunderstorms are rarely cozy sometimes a Tornado 🌪 comes along with it . Thanks for sharing your video have a great weekend
Hi Gemma, just wanted to comment a bit on the bit on the end of your video about the metal heath struggles your having. I had post partum depression when my babies were 10 months old. I didn’t get it straight away and everything you have described was exactly how I felt. I would recommended going to speak to someone about it. I had a really good nurse practitioner at our doctors who just listened (and provided lots of tissues). Sending love xx
Haven’t watched in Gemma since forever cause of a busy schedule. But it feels so good to watch u again, Gemma cause you’re my role model. Imma keep up w your videos
Being a Mum is THE HARDEST but at the same time THE BEST jobs in the world ! You can always talk to us and share your feelings but you are not alone for sure. Gemma as I understood through following you for years now that your brother has children, you can always talk to his partner/wife too and your own mum ...they can share their feelings on how they felt having babies..it might help too when you feel down...much love to you.
Gemma this video is making my day! ♥️ love this one so much, watching this this morning with a coffee and it’s giving me life 🫶🏼 love the rainy days, cosy calm vibes and I’m here for it! xx
Also 100% love your honesty in your videos, I experience the brain fog ‘vacant’ feeling a lot when I’m anxious or certain stages in a month and it’s so hard to try claw back some feelings of anything! And get back into your body ♥️ but just know that those days are temporary, you are not alone 🥰 you can see just by your videos that you are an incredible mum!! Noah is the cutest and sweetest little boy ♥️ I really tapped into the ‘Cyclical living’ to help understand my random moments and it’s really helped 🥰 so thought I’d pass this on! Have an amazing day ✨xx
Had to pause video. You are not alone. I am right there with you Gemma. I adore the fall season and the cool weather and all the wonderful things that go with the season. I am on countdown to September for when I start to prep the house for the fall decor. You and I should be friends. LOL
I totally feel you ❤ Im a perfectionist/controlfreak and run around on autopilot for my 15 month old boy who also is struggling sleeping and at the end of the day I just totally collapse/shut down!! Try to be soft on yourself, you are doing an amazing job and try to remind yourself that 'its a fase, it will get better ' ❤❤❤
Hey Gemma, I’m not usually one to comment on UA-cam videos but your discussion of anxiety is something I can really relate with. It sounds like you might be dealing with disassociation. I had it after my Dad passed when I was overwhelmed with stress and anxiety, i had no idea what was going on, it is a very weird feeling. I thought I’d share in case it helps at all ❤
Lovely vlog. Love thunder storms. I would have bought the woodland laundry hamper and blanket.. you can use them now eg reading snuggle. Even the duvet.. when I find stuff for my kids I store it... its great later not having a big expense in one go or being frustrated with not finding the stuff again at a later time. I put it in an airtight bag.. its fine for years. Noah sleep issues could also be a growth spurt... like you say it is hard to know. Great attitude. Unfortunately those feeling will stay for years.. going through the motions often becomes part of daily life with kids due to exhaustion...I am still like this with an 18yr old and 10yr old.. my 18yr old has caused me more stress the last few years with A-levels, girls, legally able to drink alcohol, out late, late parties etc (although he is sensible). Eg. I just had 4.5hr of sleep Saturday after waiting up until 4am for him to come home from his A-level finishing ball. I left the ball at 10 pm to get home to my 10yr old and the babysitter.. but the students party went on until 3am..and he got home 4am after escorting a girlfriend home safely.... Unfortunately the saying is true... "bigger kids, bigger worries!"
Hey, Im new to your channel and I just love your videos so much. I can really relate to the moods your in lately and feeling out of body feeling. Take care and hope you all keep well 🥰
I highly recommend the slow cooker liners when you use the slow cooker, I get mine in bulk of Amazon as I haven’t seen them in the stores but you’ll love them ❤
My kids loved Labyrinth when they were little so I know every word to the songs. We watched Gremlins every Christmas. My favorite 80"s movies are The Breakfast club, Pretty in pink and 16 candles. Loved them all! Love your videos Gemma.
I was standing there cleaning listening to you in the back round and I had goosebumps I’ve never heard it described exactly the same way I felt.. but I use to say it felt like a dream or so form of de ja vu I kept having but I was there in my mind but not physically.. as soon as you said, blanking out and brain fog.. then you carried on it really hit home. Your not alone.. mine did develop tho so that’s why I’m recommending seeing you GP I don’t wish to scare you at all.. ❤
Gemma missed you last week. I thought I missed your video. Enjoyed your video today. I'm spending the time with you. You make cooking and baking look so easy. I understand the emotions. One day you're just very happy and the next day you feel down but I think that's just a normal thing. Could have something to do with hormones as well. I do love thunderstorms as well as you do. I don't know. It just makes you feel so cozy and my love the yard after the rain where everything is so green and so alive I love Noah's little car. He seemed to be very happy with it. With Jamie a happy Father's Day . Your hair looks beautiful with or without the extensions. You always look gorgeous. Look forward to seeing you next week. Love you guys!❤️🥰🙏
I am very sick since 4 years and have 2 children (age 4 and 7 when it started) it is the hardest thing ever... without my husbalnd or my mom I wouldnever have survived... so I know how hard it is to have children when you are not feeling good! Happy it is over for all of you 🙏❤
I too have had those time with my 9 month old waking up again after being put down. When she does that I just put her down like 39 minutes later than usual (around 8) and that has seemed to help. I hope everything gets better
Stand by me is a great film!! I’m glad you’ve opened up it’s so important to. I hope you’ve spoken to Jamie too and your family, remember you’ve got your support network around you ❤️
Loved this video Gemma! I feel like as someone who doesn’t have kids (as much as I love Noah) it’s nice to have a bit of your old content that isn’t child related and I feel like this video was a slice of the old you, so thank you as I’ve missed this content 🤍 my old school film was Halloween town (it’s on Disney plus) and it’s fab! Enjoy xxx
You are not alone. Momma of 2 boys and I feel you on this. A lot of moms don’t talk about this because then it makes us feel guilty but don’t you are amazing every journey is unique and special in its own way taking time to yourself away from social media and the web is going to do you so much justice and help with clarity. And i don’t mean to sound like a preacher on here but look for god while your on this journey he loves you and will guide you in the right direction for you and your family god bless you all. Always love seeing your videos ❤
Love your videos Gemma, love tilly and teddy content and the sneaky autumn vibes 🧡 thank you for speaking about your mental health, it’s so brave and so important and everything you said made total sense 💗
Oh my god Gemma I'm exactly like this too waiting for autumn! My hubby always tells me off for wishing away the summer. I'm already prepping all the autumn activities I want to do, including watching your autumn vlogs!
i also really dislike the summer, i could happily leave somewhere where the temp never reached over 20 degrees😂 the only person who understands my longing for the cooler autumn is my mum and everyone else just looks at me like i’m insane when on a lovely summers day i’m over here wishing for rain and orange leaves😂 your blogs give me a hint of that though even in the summer months ❤️
The honesty in this video Gemma you are admirable 🤍 I just want to say I have two children and I also heavily rely on routine and structure every day, it’s just part of who I am. I really tried to embrace that my second time around and honestly as much as our children are unpredictable a LOT I find that some things can be structured still and I really learnt to be kind to my own needs in that aspect and what brings me peace as well as balancing my children’s needs 🤍 I felt the same as you for quite some time after my first baby, people don’t talk about it enough, But it really does get better. You are amazing 🤍 PS: This video was lovely as always 😁
I feel you with the disassociation it’s really hard , I feel like we’re quite similar because you have the deep empathy like me too and I’ve recently been diagnosed with autism. You should look into to see have you any neurodivergence ❤ it’ll help when you have those low moods wishing you loads of love you deserve to be so happy you have an amazing life ❤
Darling Gemma I watch you and think what a wonderful mummy and home maker you are..plus run your business.....Thank you for being honest...Love watching your life journey....❤❤❤❤
Hi gem, don’t usually comment just follow you , but after you spoke about how you were feeling on mental health wise, well have to say bloodyhell girl don’t you realise what a brilliant mum and wife to be you already are, you are beautiful inside and out, just having a baby makes the hormones go wild, I have three daughters and two are around your age so believe me I know how you feel, so always remember ya never alone ya got all of us to rant to whenever ya want and ya doing a great job, you are fab, so keep doing ya amazing vlogs and don’t forget how much your valued. 😻😻
Love a storm, cannot beat being at home, feeling cosy. Roll on autumn, I’m already over the summer heat, can’t wait for the cool, autumnal days. After that description, I’m off to get a Salted caramel cold brew, sounds fantastic x
You’ll have to take another trip to b&m cause they have cat scrub daddy’s at the moment!
CAT SCRUB DADDYS?! 🥲 I’m sold. Heading there tomorrow 🤣🤍
I need one 😆 ❤

As I was watching you the weather warning went off Here in Texas Thunderstorms are rarely cozy sometimes a Tornado 🌪 comes along with it . Thanks for sharing your video have a great weekend
He is loved and safe and that's because of you , please be kind to yourself and if need need help , ask for it , there's an army out there for you x x
Imma keep up w your videos
thank you for the honest talk at the end of the video. you are doing great!
Alwayd turn to your vlogs whenever i feel alone! And im sure you are doing Great with everything. Thank you❤
Back to the future is one of our classics so glad your back xxx
I loved Dennis! Also, My girl & Stepmom are my fav films from my childhood! X
This video is giving old school Gemma vibes 🥰🥰 xx
my favourite part of the week is you uploading! i look forward to it so much. Got my coffee ready ❤
When you said “defrosting Michael Buble’” 😂 I hollered!!!! I’m right there with you !
‘10 things I hate about you’ absolute classic! 🙌🏼 also really appreciate your mum talk! Needed 💙
I am very sick since 4 years and have 2 children (age 4 and 7 when it started) it is the hardest thing ever... without my husbalnd or my mom I wouldnever have survived... so I know how hard it is to have children when you are not feeling good! Happy it is over for all of you 🙏❤
I am listening to the same playlist on Spotify right after my Christmas piano playlist yesterday 😂 I love my autumn obsessed people!
Finally your vlog is here ❤
Was Missing your vlogs best entertainment for summer
I listen to autumn music all year! ❤😂
I missed you last week Gemma!! But I'm so glad you're all feeling better and out the other side take care ❤❤❤
Believe me, you more apreciate spring and summer when you live in -40 & -50 for almost 9 months. My favorite season is definitely summer❤😊
Oh my god Gemma I'm exactly like this too waiting for autumn! My hubby always tells me off for wishing away the summer. I'm already prepping all the autumn activities I want to do, including watching your autumn vlogs!
Welcome back Gemma, hope you are all feeling much better ❤
Me too ❤
i also really dislike the summer, i could happily leave somewhere where the temp never reached over 20 degrees😂 the only person who understands my longing for the cooler autumn is my mum and everyone else just looks at me like i’m insane when on a lovely summers day i’m over here wishing for rain and orange leaves😂 your blogs give me a hint of that though even in the summer months ❤️
Nice to see you home safely after your holiday ❤😊
Sweet November with Charlize Theron is so beautiful , lots of autumnal shots , think you would really love it 😍
I feel you with the disassociation it’s really hard , I feel like we’re quite similar because you have the deep empathy like me too and I’ve recently been diagnosed with autism. You should look into to see have you any neurodivergence ❤ it’ll help when you have those low moods wishing you loads of love you deserve to be so happy you have an amazing life ❤
how much i loooove your cozy vlogsss 🍭
Autumn is my most favourite season of all
Darling Gemma I watch you and think what a wonderful mummy and home maker you are..plus run your business.....Thank you for being honest...Love watching your life journey....❤❤❤❤
