What a fascinating site! These ruins are a bit different. What a interesting piece of history. Interesting about the tweezers and hair plucking. A ritual we still practice today. The history is so intriguing. The recreation of the townhouse is a nice addition. The displays are really nice 👍 Great share 😊
Interesting tour of this ancient Roman city, Alessa and Brett. We enjoyed seeing what remains and as always, nobody relays the history better. Inflation soared, civic regulation, bureaucratic interference. Hmm. Late 3rd century or early 21st century? 🤔🤔 We enjoyed the tour. Thanks so much for bringing us along.
I love your visit to this massive and beautiful ruin. I really enjoyed hearing about the market and what they would be selling and imagining all the people out there living life. Your explain things about Roman life so well Alessa. It was cool and interesting to get a feeling of what things were like back then. Thank you! 👍😊🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it Christine, truly blessed to have you at the premiere and for commenting. Thank you so very much, Roman life is pretty damn interesting! Have a wonderful and happy week ahead! xx
Wow this place must have been stunning, so interesting to hear all about it. I’m not very good on my Roman history, found this very interesting indeed. ❤
Hello Alessa and Brett, this was a lovely visit to such a huge ruin of a city. Such great history and enjoyed your narration. Thank you for sharing , take care xx Julie and Tony x
Hi Alessa & Brett, so pleased I noticed you had an early premiere! 😅 This was such an interesting video. I was impressed by how large the site was. Fantastic tour - you really brought the ruins to life with your in-depth narration. It's amazing how advanced the Romans were. The Roman reconstruction townhouse was fascinating. I would love to visit there myself. Great video, guys! Best wishes from us both ❤❤
Thank you so much to comment and watch and of course be at the premiere, it's very much appreciated! We loved bringing this place to life in anyway we can and just glad that you both enjoyed, that's what it's all about! :D Thank you again, wishing you a wonderful week ahead! xx
Hello my new friend! I'm here sending you my support. Let's stay connected and greetings from America! Your video is very informational and educational ! 🛎️
Wow guys this site is super impressive and so interesting! Your narration and story telling just gets better and better Alessa and is this possible! Loved the tweezer story 😮 can’t believe they found lots of them! The Barbarians sound brutal! We do have one question where are you finding the days with sunshine and blue skies?? 🤷🏻♀️ The town house and sales rooms were interesting to see and hear about! There were some right tongue twisters when explaining the hygiene products you did so well how many takes? 😂 superb and wow look at it from above! Spectacular ❤
Fascinating place Alessa 😊 you done a great job on this tour. I can’t imagine uncovering it all. You will definitely have to visit Pompeii it’s an amazing place to visit. I could have done with two days visiting there rather than one 😅
Hiya Yasmin, thank you ever so much for being at the prem and commenting your wonderful comments. It truly is a wonderful and interesting site, and Pompeii is on the list! Watch this space! hehe xx
You did a fab job on this. I remember visiting it on a hot day when I was walking that section of The Severn Way. There is still a Roman Road (which I partially regularly use) out of Gloucester (Roman: Glevum). It is the present day A417 which heads up to Leominster and on to here (not all of it is a road nowadays). I would love to have a time machine to go back to see what this really was like in Roman Times. Thank you! Take care, Paul
Hi Alessa I am glad I made premiere .. The UK offers so much history and architecture I enjoy every week. I see well maintained property even though the weathering damage is inevitable. Walking the ruin and now I am mesmerized by the exhibitions/all artifacts. wow I can easily spend a whole day long... Alessa and Brett, I am sending my standing ovations...just EPIC Your work has pair off, always... You are the reason I am into the castles and ruins. I thank YOU.
Hiya MsK! Thank you so much for the best questions and for commenting and watching of course. Your level to detail in comments is outstanding. You're awesome. Thank you so much for the highest praise, we love you! xx
Thank you so very much Astro & Remi, so the building there was the Bath house, these were called Hypocausts, which are apart of an ancient Roman heating system, they would be where hot air was directed into :) Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
The narration, the visuals and the place itself almost draws one through the screen to feel I'm actually there walking with you form space to space. This looks indeed somewhat different to some of the ruins you've showed us. The Roman influence is truly present in the design and general appearance. What a gem of a site to be able to visit. Sorry about missing the premier - the sun was out, a rarity these days- so I sat and enjoyed it. Have a wonderful week and I'm curious as to where you take me next. 🩷🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
It is nice that they preserved the footprint, it is crazy to imagine how far the Romans went
27 👍 Amazing tour/footage. Love Roman history 😊❤.
Thank you so much Matt and Bec!
Super, Wonderful, maravilloso, fantástico awesome :) 🔄⭕🔄
I visited Wroxeter a few weeks ago. Absolutely a superb Roman ruin, and a real insight into Roman life in Britain.

Nice place I visited last year. Normally I don't fancy the Roman sites but this one is pretty good, especially because of the reconstructions.

super place🎉🎉🎉
Fascinating tour and historical narrative! What was the building / area at 7:18 with all of the footing spaced so closely together used for?
Thank you so very much Astro & Remi, so the building there was the Bath house, these were called Hypocausts, which are apart of an ancient Roman heating system, they would be where hot air was directed into :) Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

Another interesting vid as always 🙂👍
Awesome tour. Think I'll keep my electric razor than converting to tweezers LOL

15000 people would have been a metropolis back then .
