Don't forget that this will work only if you keep periodically (once a year) changing the cabin air filter and cleaning out any dirt and debris that gets trapped by it in the intake box.

I am just curious if your G Wagon has the notorious squeaky noise from the engine bay.

No it doesn't. It does , however, have quite a bit of wind noise coming in the cabin, because the front door strikers are misaligned :D

You have to find the spot where the hood meets something and replace the rubber or put tape that is heat resistant
