gotta give Fender props- their recent pedal run has been fantastic and woefully overlooked. great pricepoint and build quality- if my Fender The Pelt is anything to go by, Hammertone will yield some gems.
Always gratifying to see someone who knows how to use a flanger. Way too many demos go immediately for the jet plane, but Andy shows what else can be achieved. I thought I'd reached peak flanger with 3 on my board but this one would be a useful addition.
I didn’t pay attention to recent Fender pedals until I discovered the synthy and surprising Pour Over Filter. Neat stuff, and cool people behind these. I dig it.
He is playing one of the new Fender Meteora models! They feel and sound great. I recommend trying one out if you have the opportunity because they really impressed me!
Andy, is the Fender Fuzz based on a particular circuit? If it's not...did you think the flavor is more Octavia or Super Fuzz or something else entirely?
Also, the Chorus has a nice voicing but I was shocked at how much I dig that Flanger!! So much versatility. Did you think the Flanger can cover more sounds including Chorus? I'm seriously thinking of getting a couple of these pedals...
It’s a two Silicon Transistor Fuzz. So, either Fuzz Face or Tonebender 1.5, are most likely, as Andy mentioned. That’s all the info I could find in official promotions, but haven’t checked any gear pages about it.
@@GuitFiddlerOntheR00F It definitely can. Unless a Flanger is only Through Zero, or one can’t control the resonance, any tape Flanger type sound should be able to do Chorus. Andy gives you a taste for a few seconds in the demo. It’s just depends on if you like a dark Chorus, because this one sounds pretty bright. The OG Electric Mistress has a certain high end, and that’s usually what folks complain about Flangers, not having.
@@CorbCorbin Andy's reply stated its based on the Blender...as in the late 60's Fender Blender. Honestly, I've never played one but after an Interwebz search...the Blender is actually based similarly to the Superfuzz (one of my personal favorite fuzzes) and the Octavia!! The article stated that it's not a complete copy of either but it bears resemblance schematically while also having a sound all its own. So that answered my question lol. Definitely gonna grab it...right up my alley.
My honest opinion after having all 9 pedals for a week with a telecaster into a Princeton reverb. I did not like the fuzz, overdrive, distortion or metal pedals. Just too dull - something missing - Just couldn’t get a sound i liked out of any of them. W The flanger, chorus, reverb and delay were fine and i would say get these and you will be happy. The space delay is not a worth having if you already have the delay.
Nice ‘verb😊. Is it a wee on the metallic side (as seemingly are the others in this group) or has the amp something to do with that? Of course, the nomenclature “Hammertone” could be a clue of sorts 😂. Surprised that the Fuzz sounded so well on this demo: the metallic vibe seemed to give it a rather unique, distinctive feel. Was not expecting that from a $99 pedal … esp from Fender after the “Pelt”😕🤷🏼♂️. Cheers/Slainte, my “friend”… 🎸👨🏼⚕️🎸🫶✌️♾️. 😎
..but will those knobs fit on the Fender guitars? Josh Scott has changed the pedal game, directly taking on the imports while paving the way for others to make good pedals at an affordable price point. *Definitely* checking these out at my local Fender dealer.
@@sassycat that's some sort of marketing b.s. EHX and MXR make more affordable pedals at equal or greater quality than JHS. Fender has their expensive line of pedals which probably don't sell very well, so they are trying this. These are significantly more flexible circuits than the 3 series pedals, and they look cooler.
@@xb5883 I'm not saying that the 3 series is better than the Hammertone series, I like these pedals. I think this fuzz is better than the one from Maestro.

Let's be real... we gotta check 1.000 pedals to get ONE that is worth buying........................................I'M BUYING THIS FUZZ RIGHT NOWWWW 😅
Wow I can’t believe how much I don’t like the distortion and metal pedals in this video. I just watched the living room gear demo vid and they sounded way better there. Fuzz seems like it could be real fun.
They are kind of ugly looking. The distortion and metal sound bad IMO. The overdrive sounds decent, but idk if its better than a cheap boss SD-1. The fuzz is cool and unique. The time based pedals all seem just fine, will be good to have more options like these at the $100 range. I'd personally wait to score some on the used market, probaby become $50-$60 pedals then which makes them more appealing at that price IMO.

Pelt was my choice in the last series too!
Pelt is a keeper in my pedalboard

Glad you enjoyed it, Andy Summers showed me flanger could be much more✌️
Haha I like the idea of having reached ‘peak flanger’
Killer demo Andy.
You always give folks a lot of different tones, while giving each pedal some time.
Lovin the delay and the fuzz ⚡️⚡️
I have both - they sound great! :)
Thanks Fender for keeping these affordable! We need more budget-friendly GOOD ones.
AU$200 at the local dealer is not an 'affordable' pedal.

Well in America they're all between $79-$99.

These are pretty insane offerings at this price point.

Except the chorus review. Jeez no one knows how to make em sound good. They always go way too high on depth and rate
Great intro music.
where is the space delay?
That is a striking orange guitar!
Chorus has a glassy flanger flavor ala DOD icebox… will have to get one
Pretty cool parts caster there 😉
