Awesome ✨! I have a pair of thrifted boots that I've colored with metallic ink, and the leather seemed to drink it right up! However, I was worried about the longevity of the color. People have asked me if I could make them some custom boots and I was not quite sure if they would hold up with regular wear. But it seems like they will! 😊 Yay! 😁

Haha you may regret that decision! I decided I needed boots to match every color 🤣🤣🤣 Sadly, my feet hurt so much I can't really wear my cowboy boots anymore 😩 Thanks for watching and commenting! Have an awesome rest your day and have fun with your boots! ❤️

Oops once again I've replied thinking this was a different post/video. By this point in my life I've done so many it's hard to remember what ones what. I have painted cowboy boots and I can't remember if I use the products in this video but for those I used paints made specifically for leather. It worked perfectly. I can't remember but I don't think I did a video on that now that I think about it. I think it was just a post years ago. Sorry for the confusion- I'm in the middle of making stamps to etch metal haha. I'd post a picture of the paint that I use, But UA-cam won't let me. It's acrylic leather paint by Angelus. HTH! Let me know if you have any questions!

@@UrsulaSmith I love the Angelus paints! Lol, and I totally get it, I do a lot of thrift flips and sometimes I find things I don't even remember making 😅. So far the ink on the leather cowboy boot is holding up Beautifully! I can't even rub it off with a damp cloth, the ink I used is a metallic black by Dr. Ph. Martin. And, it's actually doing a better job than the metallic Angelus leather paints surprisingly! I'll post a short about it on my UA-cam I still have to do the other boot maybe I can make a video about the process. I'm usually just guessing and crossing my fingers hoping that it works 😅.

Haha that's exactly how I work! It's all experimentation. And yes the pH Martin inks are awesome! Can't wait to see your boots! ❤️

    What embosser are you using?

Hi Marcy! I'm not sure if you mean the machine that I'm using or the tools to actually make the impressions. I have a whole playlist of all the different things I've tried to make the impressions including embossing folders and paper cut outs, polymer clay, and embossed metal, etc. In all of these, well actually most of these, experiments I am using the Sizzix Big Shot machine ( a pretty old one 😊) to do the embossing. There is one video where I use an Accucut machine and a Potter USA impression die to emboss with, so that is not for the general person probably 😉. Hope that answers your question? Let me know if it didn't. Have a great night! Thanks for watching!
