Well well you see in reality many of us don't really face the situation after that and so y/n too she was already degrading herself alot plus when she saw the baby she felt a pure innocence through it which reflects that she felt that baby was just like her and that she can't ruin that beautiful girls new world although she might have the shittyest father but if he keep lying maybe she'll be happy for sometime..until the truth is revealed through their eyes and then it would be their decision to look forward therefore as she couldn't process things she straight ran away after slapping him.
