It is on the edge of the Compiègne Forest, in the Château de Pierrefonds, that Luc Petton decides to take spectators into archaic fables and disturbing reminiscences. For this creation, he surrounds himself with animals with a strong imaginary imprint, Lapland owls, wolves and vultures, as well as dancers and circus performers, to draw us into a “poetics of fear”.
Inspired by Luc Petton's traveling play "Les transis", this film will retain the main idea of "Monuments in motion", namely the representation of the intimate within the monumental. His animals will, little by little, take possession of this place with its double rampart, sentinels, murderers and gargoyles, each stranger than the other. Man, alone in these walkways, porticos and galleries with their labyrinth specific to daydreaming, will lose his predatory status to transform himself into prey: "a treat for the vultures".
Still around the creation "Les transis", the narration will essentially tell: the awakening of man by the animal and his transformation into stone. The camera will sometimes be an observing eye of these encounters and sometimes the subjective view of the characters and in particular of the animals overlooking the Forest of Compiègne and the Château de Pierrefonds. For these shots we will use a drone. The natural light of this architecture playing between shadow and light will be exploited in the staging. This film will be a dialogue between Man, Animal and Pierre.
