In todays video we take on the two gnarliest trails we know about at tackett creek in east tennessee. This is TWRA land that does not get maintained so the trails do get worse overtime. This was filmed in september 2022.

Machine details:
Justins machine is a 2019 Can-am X3 XRS. It is 72" wide and 172 horsepower. Suspension is setup to the fox tune with some additional ride height added. It is running 32x14x10 sticky Maxxis Roxxzilla tires on 14x7 Alba Crusher Beadlock Wheels with a 5+2 Offset. It has a Evo Powersports Shocker cat delete exhaust, Gear grabber shifter, Front limit straps from sandcraft. Warn Axon 55s with super atv front winch bumper. Super atv high clearance trailing arms, L&W Fab rear High clearance billet radius rods, CT Raceworx front end gusset kit, tie rods w bump steer delete and high clearance lower A arms. It has SuperATV Trailing arms, still running stock axles with the factory smart lok front diff, also running a Razor Sharp Customs Cage.
Billys machine is a 2020 Polaris RZR Turbo S Dynamix. It has a Trinity racing exhaust and tune, L&W Seat Lowering Bases, BS Sand Seats, Gear Grabber Gated Shifter, Trail Armor Full Skid Plates, Full Orb Suspension with 2" stretch, 32" Maxxis Roxxzilla tires mounted on KMC 15x6 wheels with a 5+1 offset, and Super ATV X300 300M Axles all the way around, KB3 Driveshaft, 33% Gear reduction in low, Skinny Pedal Fab Bed Delete with Razor Sharp Customs Cage
Joshs rig is a 2021 Polaris RZR Turbo S Velocity. It has L&W Fab Seat lowering bases, stock seats customized for a lower seating postion, gutted stock exhaust, skid plates, 32" Coyote tires on aftermarket beadlock wheels, Trinity Blow Off Valve, Full doors and i think thats it for now!

I love your non bias opinions on the talon/other machines you don’t just have a hate for one brand you look at them all as the machines they are and what they can do
Also I think the talon is a driver machines take alittle more thought then some manual low momentum and line choice
Sway bar shocks on Amazon. "speedway motors short gas-filled tube shocks, black painted" This is a direct bolt on replacement and will work as a limiting strap.
When Justin was coming out of Hells Canyon, I was wondering what exhaust you had. Then BOOM, Camera hit it perfect. Trinity Stage 5. Sounds like a rail buggy. Awesome videos. Just picked up a 2033 RC. You guys rock. I've seen maybe 20 videos. They all rock, no wasted time on any. Thanks
Also you can replace the sway bar connecting links with two shocks to give you more articulation without breaking rear axles.

great video. the can am just sounds awesome. I know you guys wanna keep mostly stock but the gear reduction was definitely worth it and I'm running 35 in 370's and it does pretty good. specially for the riding you guys do

BTW i4wd for the win! It's a really good system, saves your diff and axles, and when driven properly will go anywhere, seen one go up that hard line in Hells Canyon you all were referring to (2 seater R on 33s)
Great content! The Talon is a tank, I love mine! Have you thought about 4" boxes for the height and gear reduction, then add the locker? We mud ride in South Alabama

Talon needs a massive gear reduction. 1st in low range should be creepy crawley.
At 11:32 the rocks to the left of that section have now fell into the trail, immovable to sxs action so it must have been erosion from recent February rains. Now there is a 3 foot dip prior to the final climb where the green Can am takes. My brother rolled his Can Am Max X there this last Sunday March 5th 2023. Side note, he didn't even break the side mirror. DTF (Down to Fabricate has video of the 7 hour recovery.

You can see multiple times throughout the video where a locker in the talon would have been beneficial. But you are right if y’all are shooting for reliability i4wd is the best route. It’s just going to make the talon look like it struggles more than the other machines.

Yeah, the way we look at it is it goes the same places as the other built rigs, just doesn’t break and is stock. How can you complain about that? Sure you gotta drive it harder but if it doesn’t break who cares?
