Wearing my GMT II with the Coke bezel. I've had it for almost a month now and it still makes me smile. Good decision by me. As for a new Submariner color scheme: I have seen some modified Submariners with the blue bezel and a dial of while, silver or mother-of-pearl, similar to the Yacht Master II. P.S. There is no such thing as white gold, it is just yellow gold mixed with other metals such as palladium or nickel then plated with rhodium. Why bother, stainless steel is more real.

For me that double blue dial is absolutely gorgeous and definitely one of the best I've seen and blue is my favorite colour

Wrong... This is not plated. And as for why... Some people want a gold piece but don't want to be flashy. Makes sense to me.
Rolex offers the 18k white gold as an alternative to their yellow gold for a more versatile and understated yet still premium look. To each their own!
The next anniversary Sub must be platinium with the ice blue dial and chocolate bezel for the 75th. I'd settle for a yellow gold Hulk.

My Smurf is almost my fav Rolex. Hulk and Yachtmaster 42 are being challenged. The blue blows me away. If I want black and blue, I’ll go with Batman.
