- Here it is! The long overdue and over requested re-sync of my original (now 3 and a half million times viewed) video, of Fall Out Boy's cover of What's This? With the original footage from The Nightmare Before Christmas! IN HD!
I hope you all enjoy the video and will rush out to buy the track from iTunes, Amazon, or the Nightmare Revisited CD itself! With all the other covers from all the other emo bands.
Both soundtrack and footage are owned by Disney, so as much as you may hate them for everything they're doing right now, you've got to love them for this.

The thing I love about stop motion, is that the special effects are timeless. With CGI, new technology comes along all the time. With stop motion, there's just that thing about it that makes it feel unique. Could be because this took 12 frames per second (taking 3 years to finish).
Honestly hearing this type of music actually makes sense given the fact that they'd be more rough in their Halloween town.
Also, I realized that it's going to sound weird when I actually see the "original" version this again after seeing this. Honestly, I'd love it if someone actually made a movie with this cover! 😊👍

I love this version, Flyleaf's and the original.
The original is just awesome.
Flyleaf's is more dream like, which to me show's that Jack feels like if this is a dream or a wish come true.
Fall Out Boy's is more up-beat and playful, which show's the energy in Christmas Town. But this is my opinion , still excellent songs in my ears. :D

I had a really cool realization!!! Okay, so here it goes! Pete, the bassist for FOB, has a tattoo of Jack Skellington on his arm, so we've established that he likes the character. He was born in 1979 and The Nightmare Before Christmas came out in 1993. This means he was 14 then!!!! He probably loved the character before so when TNBC came out with a new soundtrack asking Fall Out Boy to cover one of the songs, he was probably stoked!!!
