I can relate to this. Rewinding the clock back 4 years to March/April 2020 and we all found ourselves amid a chaotic, isolating, scary and emotional time. It was a time where none of us quite knew how to feel; or how to act; or how to carry on. I remember I’d just turned 19 and was still in college trying to gain the best grades I could ready for university. Being told that we couldn’t go into college anymore really hurt me. And then I didn’t even have the routine of my weekend job because that closed too and then I was furloughed. It’s pretty unreal to think that 4 years on it’s basically over and the world has moved on and forgotten what it was like… the restrictions, the lockdowns, the loss of productivity and industry. Everything about it made me it feel like a fever dream. The anticipation I felt in the years leading up to 2020. I thought it was going to be the best year ever. With its perfect symmetrical form that we won’t see again in almost 100 years. A new decade, new possibilities, new advancements. And it transpired that it was one of the worst years this century has ever seen.
