A country’s airport is the first and last facility that visitors experience. So it’s important that the aesthetics and amenities leave a lasting impression. As Tobago moves forward with its airport upgrade and expansion project, I share what stakeholders in the tourism sector have to say about this development. I hope that the Tobago Airport is not as antiquated as the Piarco Airport when it was built. We appear to have a problem with building airports for the future.
