Greg has killed the last three video's, I won't lie, I found it hard to watch a whole video of his, but the last three have been awesome, you can tell he's actually trying, props to you Greg, keep-up the great work, and thanks for sharing.
Has to be my favorite video so far. The way back story line is awesome. Also hearing all the names involved is super cool too. Mr Mark will be happy to see his handy work still looks great .
You could buy a 47 new with the 5 windows it was the deluxe cab option my own 47 is a factory 5 window truck. My 50 is also a 5 window my 52 53 and early 55 are 3 window. 47 is the second most rare truck in these years as the workers went on strike that year Editing because I’ve made further in the video 3100 wasn’t really a designation till a few years later in 47 and 48 (I believe 49 also) a half ton said thriftmaster an a 3/4 tone said loadmaster. The name of the body style is actually Advanced Design or AD for short.
Awesome truck Michael has lots of history with it an he just has lots of memories with it it’s so cool of a truck for sure, the little touches adds so much character to it nice job Michael.
Awesome truck and really like the idea that you put it on a S10 frame with the 4.3 V6 Back in 1982 when I was 15 my dad bought me a 1956 Chevy truck long bed and it had 5-7 different colors on it and still had the OG button starter in the floor with the 3 speed on the tree 6 cylinder with a heater from the factory.
Thats the most micheal has ever talked! Awesome story and really cool truck. It’s not so much about the truck itself but about how it brings people together. Really cool video guys!
Five window cab is just a Deluxe cab. Higher trim. They do sell aftermarket steel kits, to weld the back and create the 5 window. They are basically Fish bowl windows tho. You can see there is a vehicle there but not a regular window view. Also Thriftmaster is the engine that was used in these trucks a 215 or 235. There was a big guy that was a 261. Gas gauge 40ohms is "E", 250 ohms is "F"
Commenting before watching ....... is that a trick question? '' Should we swap it!?!?!'' This is the Greg Alberalla channel. Of course it's getting a Cummins. Slicks, wheelie bars, ...... But, for something even more unique Greg, how about mating that Cummins to a Lenco?
My brother has a 53 5 window 3100 with a carb 4.3 with a t5 5 speed on original chassis and suspension them 4.3s fit perfectly and had plenty enough power for a 3100 pound truck
if you're going to cummins swap it leave it on the original frame. im building a 51 crew cab and putting it on a 2nd gen frame and there is absolutely no room for a radiator, even after moving the engine back 8in. im probably going to have to move it an extra 4in for everything, along with a different steering box
I would only change the exhaust for a slight rumble, not nothing ridiculous. It would be sweet to have a classic looking, gas saving every day driver like that.
Nice truk Chevrolet amigo bonito video gracias por compartir sus videos saludos Greg nice truk maico ánimo con tu prollecto bonita truk saludos a acá de Austin tx Freddy delgado
Thriftmaster was just a name they put on it, meaning “working class vehicle” basically. Didn’t necessarily mean lower trim package. There was also a “loadmaster” which was in the trucks bigger than one tons and the COE loadmaster. All three shared identical cabs, the front clip differed between each. The 216 engines were named the stovebolt, there was also a 235
Love the story. The smile on Michaels face was priceless.😁
Awesome truck! I can really tell Michael has a lot of history with it and he really enjoys the memories that come with the truck.
The best part about these old trucks is the stories behind them. I'm sure there's a dozen more stories like this between the previous owners.
Thanks for not being silent Mike this video. That is an awesome truck and the stories that go along with it are just as cool.
I put a 4bt in mine. Also did a s10 frame swap as well. Gets lots of attention

Agreed. It got a little stagnant there but he’s picking it up!
Has to be my favorite video so far. The way back story line is awesome. Also hearing all the names involved is super cool too. Mr Mark will be happy to see his handy work still looks great .
Love to see a 4bt swap in this!
Awesome Tribute to a Friend and to the memories made and to many more !

That's a sweet old truck and I would love to see a 5.9 swap if it could fit or a 4bt
I got a 1950 3600 all original except turned short bed .. love it man
Cool story, great video and change of pace from the normal Greg A vids.
You could see how excited Michael was with this truck!
That is an awesome truck. I would drive that everywhere.
Awesome truck Michael has lots of history with it an he just has lots of memories with it it’s so cool of a truck for sure, the little touches adds so much character to it nice job Michael.
Like the stories behind old trucks, but I also like the fact that I actually could "hear" Michael tell it. Keep him mic-ed up.
This has been the best video I've seen on this channel since no boost and Johnny Sendit were involved.

Great video with Michael’s 47 Chevy, the Thriftmaster was in production from 1947 to 1955, great job 👏🏻 fitting it on a S10
Chassis.
Absolutely swap it,awesome build
Thats the most micheal has ever talked! Awesome story and really cool truck. It’s not so much about the truck itself but about how it brings people together. Really cool video guys!
Video should be titled, "How many times can Greg and Mike say like".
Loved it. Thrift master was the name of the straight 6 that came in the truck.

I love those body style of truck. It needs a ls with a turbo but it's also cool to just cruise it around the way it is.
I would love that build series!!!
I’m from south San Jose originally. So this is an awesome story!
Love the old Truck Mike thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for that video. I truly enjoyed it. Brings back some good ol memories.

Love the video with the story behind the build! “ Will the Ninjas be surprising us with a resto.???
That is a sick ride
Commenting before watching ....... is that a trick question? '' Should we swap it!?!?!''

This is the most words I have ever seen Michael use in one video 😂😂😂
Cool classic Chevy truck. Awesome story.
Silent Mike sure had a lot to say about that truck. It great!
this is a very cool story very cool loved hearing it thanks for sharing.
Super cool truck!!! Love the pedals
Great video!
I have a 1950 Chevy 3100 that I put a Cummins 5.9 in I ended up swapping the body on a Cummins frame with 4wd and hope to get it done soon
Good looking truck Michael
Awesome truck. New door seals and maybe tint the windows and it would be perfect
Awesome video and a really cool truck with a cool story behind 😬🙌🏻
looks like a keeper enjoy it
That was a really cool story
Awesome truck! And I love the story behind! 👍
That is a nice build!👍🏽
i have a 51 chevy 3100 with a 4.3 and 4l60e . It is a good engine plenty of horsepower for a small truck .
That thing belongs in Deliverance movie 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome truck Mike good thing you kept it hidden Greg would have wanted you to put a Cummins into it 😂!!!!
It needs a diesel under the hood! 4BT swap or BMW N57. Or a TDI. Just something different.
Two thumbs up 👍 👍
My brother has a 53 5 window 3100 with a carb 4.3 with a t5 5 speed on original chassis and suspension them 4.3s fit perfectly and had plenty enough power for a 3100 pound truck
It would really be nice if GREG would just let Michael talk...damn...
He can't help it. After watching Greg for the last 5 years, I've gotten used to it. Greg likes to talk
I keep watching & listening to the videos to see if y’all have picked up the Kentucky dialect yet!
Great truck!!! Definitely needs to be swapped!!
"The sock" is from something else...hahahahaha
That should be first on the list for the dyno.

lol most silent mike talked in 5yrs 🤣
What s-10 did you use? Standard cab, extended cab, short bed, long bed
For a 3100 you would use standard cab, long box
That’s a perfect truck

Realising 23 minutes in that this is the same style of Ute Barney Ross drives in expandables
When’s the next restock on the long sleeves?
Nice
I love that truck
Thriftmaster was the line of the truck from 47 to 54 you had different options in the 50s
If it did get swapped, a 3.9 isb170 would be sweet.
What’s up early
Leave it to Greg to say dong vs don lmao
How dare you use TimTheTatMans theme song LOL
Thiftmaster is what they named the original motor I do believe
Thriftmaster was just a name they put on it, meaning “working class vehicle” basically. Didn’t necessarily mean lower trim package.
