Yeah he really was wasn't he. It actually detracted from the performance for me and I found it so disrespectful. You can tell he thinks the song is dumb - and orobably because Ryan and him and the more "lyricists" he really looks down on Brendon. I must admit, that the double use of the words "friends" in the chorus is kind of jarring, but hey at least he's having a go and trying to be a part of the whole band. I felt bad that no one else played with him. Ryan pretended not to know the chords but come on - he's the band's GUITARIST- surely he's able to play a few chords by ear by now after having the song as many times as he would have since then. It's on their album for godsake! Obv Ryan and Jon had been discussing already at this point that they thought they could do better out in their own but didn't leave due to the major success the band was having. I read earlier in the week that they actually assumed that their departure was going to be the end of panic!, and were annoyed that Bren and Spencer kept going with it. I think Ryan would've wanted to have kept the band as a super successful legacy - but now he's just the dude that left way early and then did not that much. Jon didn't either. I mean I've seen their catalogues and they've had minimal success in comparison to the boys that stayed. I commend Brendon for always trying his best and allowing himself to look silly something because when we make mistakes is when we learn & the only way we can grow. When you're always obsessed with how you look you have no freedom to do that. And it shows by the outcomes of both parties almost 20yrs later now.
WHERE...(if anywhere).. is the place for the fans who JUST want to talk to them as PEOPLE... Not because they're famous or rich or any of the bs.. But more because they sense... somehow...what theyre REALLY seeking in life, somehow.. in THEM. That's another thing that makes this hell.. a lot more with the internet. I can see all the people that I NEED to help me... But I CAN'T get to ANY of them ...because EVERYBODY wants them..
