@@KarenofCurlHouse hello Ms. Karen and I hope all is well. I watched all of the videos and they were very informative. To keep it short. Research MSM and Collagen powder. DHT is the culprit for the perimeter issue. Research clove, rosemary, amla, pumpkin seed, saw palmetto and stinging nettle essential oils. It sounds like a lot but if you mix this up in a medicine dropper and apply to your entire perimeter in the morning and in the evening - and MASSAGE IT for at least 5 minutes. I promise you you will see results.
Due to my Mallen Streak, I've had grey hair since I was little so I don't know anything else. I don't know if the texture will change when I get older, but for now, it doesn't seem to be too different from the rest of my hair. Things might change as my regular-colored hair starts to turn grey, but for now, I'm good.
I do have some grey hairs but all of my hair is difficult to keep moisturized (even the non grey) 😫 when I first went natural, my hair was very moisturized and it stayed moisturized more days. Now my hair is high porosity and extremely dry. The day that I wash it, it stays moisturized all day. And my curls are defined. But the next day… it’s dry, and more of a Afro instead of curly (like on the first day/wash day). How can I know how often to re moisturize it in between my wash days? I wash every 7 days. But I’m afraid if I moisturize too much it will experience moisture overload. I’m having trouble knowing how often to moisturize and how often to do a protein treatment without furthering damaging my hair.
love, love, love to rock my fabulous silver, your videos are the best advice Ive ever gotten for my crown. I was doing everything wrong. I live in Kenya hope i can get your products
Hey there! Thank you so very much! I was talking to a colleague about doing some hair education and product sales in Kenya sometime next year. Stay tuned! I appreciate you!
You said a mouth full about accepting the new texture that comes with gray hair. I am going to go back to adding oil to my deep conditioner. Completely stopped doing this. What protein treatments do you recommend?
Hey there! Thank you so much! So glad you appreciated the 'acceptance' part. I recommend either Hydrothermal Amino Plus Protein Deep Conditioning Treatment; or Aphogee 2 Part Protein Treatment, or the 1 step Reconstructor.
Thank you for all the tips. I love my grey hair . I am going to start back adding joboa oil to seal my hair..that's my favorite one. I have finally found products for styling that do well when I style my hair mostly 2 strand twist.
Hello Karen. I have gray hair just like yours and the same texture. Nevertheless, I will be getting sisterlocks. How will I be able to care for my hair due to a lack of products. Please help. Will I have to put my focus more on nutrition? Plus, I'm post menopausal and have hypothyroidism . Love you advise. Thanks so much.
Hey there! Good to hear from you and thank you for support of my product line as well. Quick question -- are you dealing with hair loss due to hypothyroidism and PM? If so, Is it stabilized? Looking forward to your response so I can better answer your question.
Good Morning. I have been following your videos and I’m learning something new all the time. I have high porosity hair. Almost like yours, my wash routine consists of pre-pooing with African Pride aloe and coconut, shampooing with a detox or moisturizing shampoo, then deep conditioning with protein/moisturizer conditioner I switch to a moisturizing conditioner the next wash day. I use a leave-in with some slip, cream and oil to seal my hair. I will be adding oil to my dc next wash day. Can I use a heated cap instead? Sorry for the long message. Look forward to your next video.

Hello Karen, I love your hair!! Mine looks very similar to yours. But, unfortunately, mine shed so much. I can literally pull it out with no tension to it. I have been natural since 2013. I am currently 68 y.o. No dyes and very little heat to it. I have been on high blood pressure meds for years. Do you that could be it?? I make most of my products except for shampoo and conditioner. Also, I am very careful to choose those with mostly natural ingredients.

My hair is white and I find that a lot of oils have a yellow tint, which tints my white hair. I have high porosity hair. What oil do you recommend to avoid yellowing hair?
Hey there! Here are a few videos that may help, but since you have high porosity hair, have you considered WHITE shea butter? I purchased mine from brambleberry.com. Here's another video: ua-cam.com/video/WLaJ0lKScu8/v-deo.html

Hey there! Henna stains the hair, similar to a rinse. Its very difficult to lift the color naturally. A color specialist would probably a chemical combo (which may or not contain bleach or hydrogen peroxide or another chemical) to lift the color. But its a process and can be harmful to the hair if not done correctly. It's not something I can give you a formula for as it involves chemicals and formulations. My BEST recommendation is to seek help from a cosmetologist that SPECIALIZES in color.

Love the tips on taking care of my gray hair.💚 😊🙋🏾♀️
You are so welcome!
Is Johoba oil clear? One of my problems is that most oils leave a yellow hue on my gray hair.
You can find clear versions of it online! That's not even something I would have considered, so thank you lol.
Thanks for sharing such great tips I'm in the silver fox club and happy to be one😊
YASSSSS Silver Fox! You are so welcome!
Very educating. Thank you. 😊
Do you recommend a specific water filter?

@@jevan40 you are welcome!
love, love, love to rock my fabulous silver, your videos are the best advice Ive ever gotten for my crown.
You are so welcome!!
Have you used the grey color conditioner to transition from other colors to grey?
Hey there! I have used to gray conditioner to neutralize the yellowing or staining of my gray hair but not to transition to gray.
Yes yes yes! A heated cap will work too! Thank you for sharing your hair routine and so happy 😀 you are learning! Knowledge is power! 🙌🏾
Is there a specific brand of moisture to use . Wash and go
Hey there! One of my favorites is my Design Essentials Daily Moisturizing Lotion: amzn.to/4dY2kSc

I heard you talk about a water filter. Any suggestions? I wouldn't know where to start
Very informative, thank you
Fabulous! 🎉🙌🏾
I love my gray ,just don't know how to keep it soft and when it come to moisture don't know what to do ,I do use oils .Yes I keep my hair 2 twisted

I just came here to ask the same question. I have been afraid to use oils since my hair is now white for the same reasons you mention.
@@KarenofCurlHouse For some reason shea butter has the affect of tangling my hair when I use it and I have to clarify my hair to get it out. I guess I will just continue to use my oil rich creams that are white.
You're right, gray hair is like wire...bobwire. 🤣 I have accepted my gray hair. I stopped dying it about 2 years ago. I stopped dying it because the gray hair comes right back so what's the use.
Been looking for this kind of video. I'm newly grey and I can't figure it out
Welcome!! 🙏 enjoy!
What state are you in? Thanks for sharing

Hi Karen I'm a subscriber with beautiful Grey hair. I have the female pattern baldness gene like you. I am not bald it's just that my hair is thinner on top. My mom had it also. My hair texture, grey color,4A and porosity is much like yours. Can you tell me what you do to keep the top of your hair thriving like tours. I moisturize it like you say. I'm getting ready to do your trim you do on your channel. My hair is beautiful. It's that thinning on top that really bothers me. Can you help. Thank you in advance😊❤

Hello Karen ijust start listening to you and i love your advise. I am 61 what i know works for me is water and grease is this okay. I need sheen i am natural your advise is much appreciated
Hi Donna! Yes! Water is your moisturizer and hair grease locks it in! Hair grease is one of best sealants and softens our hair and provides sheen!
Thank you for this video. It is very informative. I absolutely love my gray hair. God's creation can not be altered. God bless everyone. Thank you KayInspirer

Do you know how I can remove Henna color?
