As a biologist I agree, evolution is indeed a mind-blowingly incredible process and biological machines, even simple microbes and viruses, are awe-inspiring in the way they function.
@@ekjas_siket Evolution works based on DNA mutations leading to the expression of proteins that are beneficial for survival and procreation, which become enriched in a population via natural selection. I suggest reading a high-quality biology textbook (e.g. Campbell Biology) if you want to know the detailed mechanism behind it. As said, needles are a by-product of evolution. Evolution cannot directly create needles however, since the protein machinery required for that would be unnecessarily complex. A textbook on chemistry (e.g. Nivaldo's Fundamentals of Chemistry) should give you a decent idea of why metals are generally not synthesizable by biological systems.
As soon as the wheels start to turn balancing is no longer needed. This is a wide spread fallacy. The gyroscopic forces keep the vehicle upright. They have made two wheeled cars that have two extra wheels that only work when the wheels are not turning. As soon as the wheels start to turn the extra wheels retract and no longer are needed to support. Many people who have never ridden a bicycle or scooter think incorrectly assume that you have to balance all the time. This is why so many of these people think that they can only ride a tricycle like a four year old needs to . Science is rarely considered. The robot does not have a gyro because the wheels serve the purpose.
