Are you actually sure that that train was moving at 73mph??? Because the max speed for z-trains is 70mph but it can do possibly 71mph so that train wasn't moving at 73mph

Not trying to argue but they can go a little over 70 on a any downhill grade if they are still under throttle.

Those aren't always accurate someone I know caught a UP grain shuttle going like 40 and their radar gun said 75
@@STCG112 They can't go faster than 70 MPH. PTC will enforce them at 75 and then the crew is out of service

@@STCG112your radar gun is innaccurate, 70 mph max speed 73 would cause the PTC to put it in penalty braking
No, 73 mph is the max. And that’s when pic will automatically brake
3 over the limit is no big deal. I do it all the time.
5 over in PTC will give you a penalty brake application NOT 3.
