@@89MarkWright How do you sell your NDSP plugins? Had no idea that can be done. Do you have to sell the whole account or is there some transfer possible between accounts? If so how does the money transaction work and can you sell them for whatever money you want? Lots of questions Thanks either way
I believe the second amp on Gojira X is the 5150iii on the Blue channel and the third amp is the red channel. There is also a video circling around about gain staging, especially going from the guitar straight to the interface/DI Box that could make a difference between the plugin vs the QC. Leave the gain on the interface at zero and depending on your interface, adjust the input on the plugin to give a more accurate representation of the amp. There are a few different videos about it on UA-cam.
Those were all videos I referenced when I was setting up for these demos. I was well below any sort of clipping in my interface. The matching of the Red Channel between the plugin and the QC should be proof enough.
I feel like you validated my perspective on the plugin complaints. If you just take a little time you can recreate the sounds between the two without needing plugin compatibility
I like the Gojira X plugin just for the cab sims. I matched the high gain head to the cab that corresponds with the blue channel head. I don't know what it is based on, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's somewhat greenback based where I would assume that the high gain cab is likely V30 based. Either way, I kept going back and forth between the 3, and I decided that my favorite was the blue channel cab.
I think the cabinets from the plugins are going to make the biggest difference. For cor.os 3.0.0 I'm am curious about the doubler. If it is any better than just delaying one sight.
Finding matching IRs is much cheaper and will be part of a larger pack that you can use for other presets. I think plugins on the QC are just hyped to extract money from us. 1600 euros was enough imho.
@@kenjiwhe it's more that some of us have loved the plugins since way before QC was even a thought. and having a device that can play the plugins was always a want. i haven't bought a plugin since i got a QC but i would like to use my nameless models, irs, presets etc on my QC. it was one of the major selling points of the QC and still is wanted. but the QC has most of the models already in it. not missing much if you don't use any plugins with it.

Great video … what camera you use ? And your voice came through the rode microphone ? I didn’t know it is so sensitive to capture your voice in such a big distance . Nice job
I recently made a video about just the HX Stomp Global EQ to have more of a "Quad Cortex Flavor", but tl;dr there's a LPF I run in the highs, but with a slight boost around 8-10k to not make it sound too dark. The full EQ is in that video if you want to check it out!
@@TheGooseChaseMusic Do you find the feel aspect of playing in quad cortex different than the plugins? I'm currently demoing the Ampero Stomp 2 that I got for a good price in my country. I noticed two things: it feels better than playing through neural dsp plugins, and about the same as playing through tonex plugin; and I discover that my interface is actually pretty old and I need to change. (Conversion and DI from the Ampero are better than my current Audient ID14 MKI). I got a new job and finally I can start to afford some good guitar gear. So I'm searching for alternatives. The problem is: everything in my country is so damn expensive and difficult to get (third world problems, you know). MOTU here is difficult to get, but I was with an eye on their Ultralite series. I think it does not make sense to get a cheap interface, because I already have one. So, to actually be worth it, the best think that I found right now here is a Antelope Audio interface. If I return my Ampero and sell my audient, I can get an used FM3 Turbo for the same price. Also, I need to buy the actual plugins, because I'm using the trials to see which ones I like. So roughly, the question is: good interface with a good DI + plugins or an FM3?
@Kevinwhite6172 which are the Plini X amps? I could find the info yet. I feel like the Crunch amp is either a kind of a Marshall or a channel in the Friedman. The lead in Plini X sounds really close to Friedman lead in QC with all the switches engaged. Not sure about the clean. The drive in Plini X appears to be identical to Myth (Klone) in QC.
There is an fx block called wham in the qc, its literally a whammy block
I dont feel it tracks as well as the gojira though

Nobody buys the plugins at full price…just wait for one of the semi-annual 50% off sales.
next month will be neural's birthday, so yeah, 50% OFF

It's something I think needs a bit more scrutiny, because some plugins just don't have transparency on the amps modeled.
I love your thumbnails
Haha thank you!
I was hoping the Nameless 2.0 would be one of the first "amps" to be put on the QC with the 3.0.0 update, makes more sense than the Gojira.

Sony A5100 and A6000. And thanks for the kind words!
The QC has a whammy, but it’s monophonic as far as I’m aware? Whereas Gojira’s is polyphonic
I think that's correct, because the virtual capo that the QC has is also only monophonic.
I actually preferred the quad
off topic. Do you need to do high cuts in the qc like you need to in the helix ? I always do that in the helix to get rid of fizz

Plugin compatability is EoL. Guarantee they will let it ride for a year or two before we get a QC2
