Have you ever been able to replace the axe handle on your Stihl axe? I have a similar one and the handle broke on it. I'm not sure where I can go to get a replacement. Thanks.
What ever you do it’ll have to be “fit” by someone. It’s not just a simple matter on wood handle replacements, although it would be nice if it were. But no matter what, good luck to you.

@norcaltimberfaller1943 thanks for watching!! thanks for sharing your knowledge 🙏 I believe my next thing is easier as clean a bit my mom's holiday plot which is having smaller birch trees relatively further out of structures, thought my neighbour 76yo man agreed my thoughts of easy trees as I feel taking every each tree within 100% caution will be the best way to approach??
Yes, I think it's always good to be overly "safe" rather then pushing any limits. In commercial timber falling a guy has to push the limits harder because of production expectations. But if you dont have those expectations as part of the work, then taking more time with things is safer and better.

That being a large cc saw sure does not seem to have much snot for that long bar. Another awesome video.
Seems like bark thick and grabby. When sap running in spring ,cutting hardwood the saw acts different, in wisconsin anyway.
Its the bark a lot of the time ( on Redwood) It tends to be grabby, especially in the wet winter conditions( it swells up)

They do make them. Its a pain to replace and I just buy new axes most of the time
