I'm kinda confused with the countdown and kids going back to school. Hawaii school are back in school since yesterday. Not sure if you left Hawaii or not. Hope all is well. I love preping/shopping for back to school for my kids. I now have 1 in college, 1 in HS and 1 in elementary. Bittersweet for my oldest son, I'm happy and sad at the same time since he went to college and far away from me.

My mom had the same policy when I was growing up in the 90s. She wasn't hyper paranoid or anything, but our names would be written on the inside of our backpack or lunchbox. So I do the same with my son now :)

I used to teach aviation ground school so I would use that excuse to hoard school supplies! ;) The teacher in her comes out in full force with these wonderful organizational tips. We don't start school until September, but I am already done with supplies. I would rather get done sooner than later. Last year we spent the extra one backpacks for Nike and Under Armour. Definitely worth it! They reuse them and they still look new. We used to go with a cheaper one and they wouldn't even make it the whole year. So happy to see you put their names on their lunch bags. I work at a school and you would be surprised how many parents don't do this.

Landon is getting old enough to have his own desk and homework supplies. Maybe when kids desks go on sale at pottery barn, you could invest in that for him so he doesn’t have to use that preschool table. I know they grow up so fast but he will appreciate having his own space!

That sounds like a lot of work. I just buy jeans and shirts from the children's place store. Everything matches. I'll buy shoes that match dressy outfits and regular nike shoes that will go with any other outfit. 😅😅 it's worked and they still look nice and clean. 😁

Wow ours specifies black expo markers and plastic pencil pouches. Not much personalization options. So I let them pick their backpack, lunchbox and water bottle
Teacher send home all school supplies that was not used last year so we keep it because 3rd grade is always busy doing projects..assignments and homework..so we have some stuff here at home to use. Some teachers doesn't want the students name on there supplies either but it is what it is.

This is such a good point. My son's items aren't personalized in that way, but it's something to keep in mind.
Same I don’t use anything personalized that’s big or clearly read by strangers when the kiddies are little.
Same I only use initials on my kids and then write it inside
Our family is the same. Maybe initials on a lunch box but we don’t personalize anything strangers can easily see.
