Gobba having his own voice is cool and immersive but Joe rogan doing an accent was funnier. Like he is getting character, actual DMing.
It really fit the "cheap, throwaway NPC" aesthetic as well

Save Gobba, how he acts in future to show he is worthy is his choice, but how you act now to show your worth is yours.
I like how the audience gets to play a part in character development, though I fear this might harm character consistency later down the line.
I'm yet to decide how big of an impact these votes could have on a character... I don't think I would allow a vote to totally change a characters way of playing though! At most it would be something that was slightly unlikely that they'd do!
@@WeDoAIStuff When used sparingly, having the community vote can and will increase audience engagement (I know I'm pretty miffed I missed the chance to vote), making the show an almost modern day pantomime.
The problem arises when you're ten character decisions in and people start expecting having a choice in how a character would act. Either every major character decision will have to get put to a vote, which can and will lead to inconsistent writing or some if not most impactful decisions have to be taken out of the audience's hands, which may lead to disgruntlement.
Having Tronald save Gobba now will mean there are very few situations where he would willingly let a "friend" die, even when the story would be better for it, while having Tronald save the scroll would turn him into a considerably more selfish and either pragmatic or short-sighted (depending on how you look at the current quest objectives) character, which can be flipped on its head come the next "save or kill" vote.
Still, I like the idea and I'm excited to see how things work out. Keep up the great work!

Should give like a day of voting through a UA-cam poll or similar but accessible. 1 hour is super short. Like i can't exactly stop work as a courier driver to watch the episode as it drops. Don't usually get home until a few hours later. Awesome episode though. Love including the audience for some decision making. 35 minutes next week? 👍👍 Let's go!
Hey man! So with the way I make episodes (with patreon/youtube members being 1 week ahead) i can only hold the vote with them guys otherwise I wouldn't be able to make the next one in time! Patrons/Members had between Friday and Sunday to vote! Which gave me chance to start working on the decision on Monday to have it finished by Friday! 😁

If you use the prompt ‘70mm film stock’ instead of hyper-realism/8k (or similar) you’ll get more better art from the AI.
Greaat episode, was curious if reincarnation was on the table but cool idea with the members' vote.
Also going upto a 5 man party is intresting. Maybe even 6 if Goba comes back 😅, i guess it allows splitting the party up if and when required for narrative structure and storytelling which in a normal D&D/ttrpg game is an issue as you can't ignore half the table for a whole evening.

I think Joe said earlier in the campaign that dead characters could only come back through real powerful rule-following magic. I am still waiting for an undead Samuel L. Jackson to return.

This episode reminds me of a time a friend was running Storm King's Thunder, and my character was a Halfling Battlemaster.
Well, there was a Goblin and we captured it. The party wanted to torture it for information and kill it. But I took it under my wing, groomed it, and gave it equipment so that it may help us in battle and gain its fair share.
It died after an encounter or two.
It was my friend 🤣

Also, don’t druids get access to revivify? It makes sense that the time frame has passed for Gobba but that’s a good thing to keep in mind moving forward.
