This is definitely super resourceful. It's given me some ideas for a bugout bag. If I was going to do an EDC version of this bag, I'd cut it down to 1 multitool, I'd wrap some but not all the ducttape around a credit card, I'd remove the can opener since you actually have 3 :D (2 in those multitools), I'd take out 'some' of the paracord for carry, I'd get a smaller flashlight (something 1/4 of the size), I'd have the entire medical stuff in a dedicated medical kit but keep something smaller for EDC, ie Woundseal which is tiny little tubes, for the compass I'd get a flatter and smaller one ie SUUNTO Clipper Compass, for the tissue on the go, I'd extract it out and make it flat in the pack so the case doesn't take space, for the cutlery I'd get flat cutlery, for the water purification (definitely leave them in the container for sure) but maybe only 1 of those, etc. Basically smoller versions of everything :P
PMG, What I am about to say is in no way intended to be disrespectful. I would like an opportunity to discuss some alternate options to what you are carrying that you might not have considered. 1 Replace the toilet paper with dude wipes. You can get them from a travel section and they're made to be wet. The toilet paper gets horrible if it gets wet. Alternate, WHIZY wipes, they look like little tablets and you can use a sink or your waterbottle to get them wet, unfold them and use them. Dude wipes can also help clean your hands or wound area for first aid. 2 Change that knife to something that is still a good weapon but can be in your pocket. You don't want someone who's looking at you to know you have a weapon in case you need to use the bag from your car to another point on foot. Also the knife should be one handed open or close so if you have to use it while you're holding your firearm you can still use it as a personal defense weapon if your firearm runs out of ammo or they close the distance while you're reloading - unlikely malfunction with a smoke wagon but you never know. 3 Instead of several carabiners, get two carabiners that are big enough so you can put your hand inside them and make sure they're locking carabiners. You should see the alternate uses for them and they're legal almost everywhere. 4 Wrap paracord and hank it instead of leaving it in a bracelet. When you need paracord you need it right then. Having to undo the bracelet is a lot of work and possibly time that you could save by neatly hanking and securing it with a twist tie. 5 Replace the two pairs of might work scissors with one pair of trauma/paramedic shears. You're less likely to cut yourself if you are using them to cut clothing to get at a wound and they have no problem cutting gauze. 6 Shoestrings, there are companies who make shoe or bootlaces from paracord, or you can make your own. They'll also be much better than the shoe laces and if you have them cut to size already and add them to your paracord hank, that makes them so much more usable. 7 There are a lot of razor blades in that bag. Perhaps keep them together so you know exactly where they are when time counts. 8 Put the Tournaquet in the top outer pouch. When seconds count you don't want to be digging through the bag to get to your TQ. 9 Ziplock the eating utensils. The ziplock will keep them clean until you use them then you can put them back in the ziplock when dirty to protect the other stuff in your bag. 10 Water purification without a way to carry it over distance is not great. A Sawyer mini filter, on the end of a 20oz soda bottle or a large mouth waterbottle that you can dip that lifestraw in would be very useful. 11 If you need to cut weight look at dialing down that first aid kit to what you'll actually use. I love your mindset of being ready for day to day stuff. I love your mindset of using what's on hand. The peanut lighter with the o-ring is great, being able to use any liquid fuel to refill and the fuel stays, I'm definitely getting one of those. Congradulations on using the bag until it reached the end of life, I can see you're using it well. These are just some suggestions.

I carry my EDC stuff every day and also have a Long term bug out bag where i could survive the 4 seasons with, including a titanium foldable wood burning stove only 4 or so lbs. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. The Magnum and speed loader is sweet.

Might consider a votive candle or 2 . Put the candle at the bottom of a fire you are starting and light it then build the fire up around it. A trick I learned in scouts.
I've carried a edc bag for three years and I got to say all of this stuff is not needed it will sit in the bag and never get used. I use to think I needed all that stuff but don't
I liked the bag and got an idea or two from the contents however there was nothing for temporary shelter. I suggest putting in a emergency blanket plus a bivy sack.
Got the same bag and the best way to carry toilet paper which is a moral necessity for me because I hate wiping my ass with leaves when camping, is to flat pack it into ziplock packets and fold them at the bottom of the bag. You can get quite a bit stacked on top of each other. The weight of stuff on top of them really flattens them out. Also get rid of a lot of packaging for medical unless its stuff thats sterile. Stick that in a ziplock or two. When you need it you yank it out of your sling pack, its all there and you can get to it quick without searching for stuff.
