- This American Liberty CNC safety razor is the perfect razor for a new shaver or a long-timer looking for a new tool. CNC (computer numerical control) is a process that ensures consistent, exacting specifications so you get a strong, reliable tool. This is a three-piece, double edge safety razor with a beautifully cut handle. The stars and stripes stand out as an homage to the grand ole flag. And help provide the grip you need.

Hey Eric, nice to see your daily shave again. I really enjoy your opening monologue about the products you are going to use, I truly hope you keep them. I find them to be extremely informative as you go into the history about the products/artisans that you are using. I too really enjoyed the more mild setting or mild razors, base plate 2 from Rockwell comes to mind. I had several days growth and decided to try the 5 plate, my eyes were opened wide! I could not believe how smooth the shave went. A Wizamet blade with Barrister and Mann soap along with my 26 mm WCS synthetic brush were superb. I even used the same plate the following day with one day of growth, I guess my technique had improved more than I realized as I had no nicks or cuts for either shave. Happiness 😊 Cheers Eric!
Hello Dana,
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. It means a lot to me.
The shave you described sounds like an invigorating experience! I’m glad to hear you made that discovery. It sounds like you’re really hitting your stride in the hobby. As for me, I’m a lost cause in the technique department. 😄
Nice and eductive shave👍🏾. This razor looks beautiful and solid. Would like to know more about it please.
Great shave, Brother! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this razor...sounds like a great daily driver👍 Keep on keeping on and God Bless!
Thank you, sir! This razor can definitely serve as a daily driver. Paired with the right blade, it’s a delight to shave with.
God bless you as well!
Hola Eric! From a content creator to another: "Keep that format, your engagement with the viewers and description of products is very good"! I am eyeing that razor, and I missed my Charcoal Goods Level 2 razor that I traded for a Carbon. Grooming Dept is also a great soap and artisan. Have a lot of his soaps (Kairos and Donkey base). Take care brother!
Great shave Eric! I don't have a preference, as you know I can watch you just read names out of a phone book. (do they still make phone books?)
I have the Lithe and Brawny WCS /Charcoal Goods collab. Just heads, no handles, but great shavers. Have a great week!
Great vid! Nice looking razor.
Always enjoy the longer content myself. For me, it’s relaxing & I enjoy all the info. Either style works for me though. 💈
Shame about Charcoal Goods. Rough start to the year for the shave community.
I very much appreciate your continued viewership.
I have to agree with you; if the content is enjoyable, the length of the video doesn’t bother me whatsoever.
Thank you for your feedback!
Yes. It’s a shame Charcoal Goods had to close down their operation. I sincerely hope they find themselves in a position to reopen sometime in the future. Their head designs were unrivaled.
What a wonderful shave I love your technique so relaxed and effortless:) please can you use badger brushes In your future videos as well as I really like the way you make your lather with them 😊
Thank you for the kind words.
Some of my future videos will certainly feature badger knots.
@@ericneria6505 excellent thanks Eric a pleasure mate 👍
Hey Eric💈💈 Good to see you once again brother. Length of video is your decision, all is good here. Tip: use a nylon washer (5mm/#10) to cushion the handle to base plate connection, protects the mating surface and also allows a tight fit and no loosening...😉 Ordered my American Liberty razor this morning, certainly didn't need it but had to put it in the stable. Great shave and conversation, thanks for all the information. Hope work eases up for you a little, see you next time.
Always great to hear from you, Terry!
I hope you and your family are blessed.
That’s an interesting suggestion regarding the 5mm washer. That’s how Karve sends their razors to you, with a washer between the baseplate and the handle. The instructions suggest removing it before use, but I always thought it served to protect against metal abrasion. 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you for your continued support, Terry. It means a great deal to me.
Nice shave and nice input about the razor! Can you compare it to any other razors in terms of comfort and efficiency? Like the Overlander for instance?
Thank you for watching!
I’ve never used the Overlander. So, I’m not able to make that comparison. However, in my experience, I would draw an equivalence to the Karve BB plate. Mild without sacrificing efficiency.
Hope this helps.
@@ericneria6505
Wait, what plate is that?
@@konap7 the BB plate is one of their milder plates. They have several levels.
@@ericneria6505
Got it. But they only list a B plate on their site. Is the BB a new plate that is positioned between the B and the C plates?
You guys should showcase your women's razors.
Howdy, Eric. Great video! I always appreciate how informative yours are. As to format, it's not an either/or for me. I like them both. It's strictly a matter of how much time I have to spend at the moment, so if it's longer, I'll likely come back to it at a more convenient time.
On the razor, I suspect I'm not alone in thinking "Henson" when I hear "CNC". They're obviously made from different materials, but I'd be interested in your impression of how they compare (assuming they even do!). I don't own either one, so it may help inform a future purchase.
Best regards, and keep the vids coming!

Thank you for your comments, RHDave.
I think you’re spot on when describing your approach to videos. I have a similar approach.
I’ve not used the Henson razor, unfortunately. I’ve used many DE razors over the years, but I’m surprised at how many I’ve yet to experience.
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I very much appreciate your viewership.
@WestCoastShaving A great detailed educational breakdown of wet shaving products. Do you think an Astra Blue or Green blade will pair well with this razor?
Hey Jason, Greens go good with any safety razor imo. I am sure Blues would be great too!
@@WestCoastShavingChinoHills I'm still new to traditional wet shaving for over a year. My favorite blades so far are 1) Astra Blues, 2) Astra Greens 3) Feathers.
@@jasonnyc2006 You'll notice that the longer you shave this way you will probably prefer a sharper blade.
@West Coast Shaving I tend to go for aggressive razors, but lately, I can appreciate a mild or medium razor. I like Feather Blades, and I am so so on Nacets. I always appreciate West Cost Shaving for their replies and support on my journey as a traditional wet shaver.
Thank you for the kind words, Jason.
I, personally, prefer the Astra Blue blades to the Greens. Super Stainless blades seems to compliment my skin more than Platinum blades do.
Hope this helps.
I really hope you didn't see the Libery Razor ad that talks about "striking back" against women's rights and then immediately go out and buy it. There a million different razors that you could be promoting. This company should be boycotted.
Very nice video great points 🤙🏼I did order one felt it’s worth it and head looks very much like CG nice job they did 🤌🏼

Is the Hyperion using the same head as the Liberty?
G'day Eric .. Have you review the new Blackland Blackbird 'LITE' not the standard base plate. Would love to see you're youtube review on the Blackland Blackbird 'LITE'.
Great to hear from you, SpeedyPC!
I’ll see if I can arrange that review (or something similar) via the WCS channel. I not sure that WCS offers Blackland razors via their site.
I have used the Blackland Blackbird Titanium razor. A friend lent it to me to take it for a test drive. It’s a tad aggressive, but I can see it being a superb shaver paired with the right blade.
Why do u lather and shave 3 times?
Each time he does that is called a pass. A traditional wet shave consists of 3 passes- with the grain, across the grain, and against the grain. The target is not to remove the hair but to reduce it. A 3 pass shave leaves you exceptionally smooth. Usually there's only a couple little spots to go over which then leaves you baby butt smooth
