I think they're in ive seen a lot of girls wear them when visiting museum and galleries and they look great So I decided to get my first ever pair but im a guy hope they look as half as good on me.
Definitely in, but obey the jort rules to wear them stylish: 1) no frays, 2) no cuffs, 3) 2-7 inch inseam, not longer, 4) no spandex (then you bought the wrong fit), 5) no distressed areas, 6) matching undies that don't peep out, 7) no pockets peeping out at the leg openings.
That's exactly what I'm wondering. People are way too prudish for short shorts these days. in the 70's and 80's this was quite normal! People always parrot what other people say. If it were fashionable now, everyone would like them!
@@lukasmuller3389No they wouldn't, short shorts are in fashion with women and not all of us are walking around in them, many video by women past the age of 20 are saying they don't wear short shorts anymore.
In my younger days jean shorts were the rage. In my older years, still find them the rage. The best jean shorts are the ones you cutoff from a pair old jeans. Love the easy style and comfort of them especially in the spring and summer. Cant beat it. Thanks for the vid.
This is good video. I wanted to cut my jeans but was scared as I didn't know how to sew hem up. But this vid shows me it doesn't need to be tidy at hem it can be rustic and distressed And that a straight leg Jean is better than skinny. I don't like them too tight also
Why no short shorts? You see those silly Bermuda shorts on every street corner. And why would you want to combine shorts with an elegant top? That doesn't make any sense. That looks silly. Shorts have to look casual. When I'm dressing up, I don't wear shorts.
I'm more of a longer shorts guy I don't like anything above my knee I like them loose when I sit down.. but obviously not too long tho but I like the shorts with the rolled end or just regular ends like stuff american eagle or other similar store styles.. just wish those shorts were a little longer and more loose
I've got some fantastic cut off jean short shorts from ASOS, in all colours, they are really short so better than knee length. I've got loads of cut off and roll up knee length denim shorts, I never wear them, they all want shortening. You want some sun on your legs, anything knee length is useless.
No cut-offs. Just get proper girl jorts from a vintage shop: they fit men great. I bought some very nice vintage Wrangler, Tommy and Lauren 2-3 inch inseam jorts with proper seams and no "damage parts". Junior girl size 9,11,13 are great as they are 30,32,34 mens size.
@@lovemadeinjapan I find Superdry women's hot chinos in a size 8 fit me perfect, they have a 2" inseam, I used to be a 30" waist but stuffs either got bigger or I've lost weight, I'm a 28" waist now.
I think that it goes back some years to the days when people wore them as outdoor work wear in the summer. Farm workers loved them here in the UK, partly because you did not end up in soggy pants all day every time that it rained. Before the days of health and safety, they were very common on construction sites. Rolled up shorts were mainly associated with fruit pickers who rolled them until they were tight on their legs to prevent the bees that they disturbed from getting trapped inside them where they would then panic and sting the persons leg. A combination of all this led to people thinking that they were very scruffy as fashion wear and since the shorts were cut off from old jeans, they were often stained and had rips in all the wrong places to make them fashionable. Because girls wore them primarily as a fashion item, the reverse seemed to happen. I still laugh at the time when one of our friends wore denim shorts to meet a girl for a date. Despite the fact that she was wearing hers when he arrived to pick her up, she refused to go out before he went back home and changed. 😊
How we feeling about jean shorts?? In or out?? Thanks for watching! -PYS

Yes! I thought denim shorts were done, but I am so down to get them back!
You know it buddy, I’m way into them
You're hella underrated man, you deserve more subs
I appreciate that a ton my man! Tell your friends
Why the hate for short jean shorts, aka Daisy Dukes? Exposing the upper thigh is not a bad thing. I wear short jean shorts myself.
Respect that! To each their own

That's too bad. I am a young man and I only wear the very short shorts. I love it. :)@@daisiesandpandas1218

Agreed!! They’re so good! Thanks for watching
I wish I could wear all 10 of these outfits every day
Haha that would be a lot of changing but also awesome
Do u prefer when the shorts are just cut off or the roll up legs ?
I prefer cut off with jeans & not cut or rolled with chino shorts
I love wearing denim short shorts exactly like @1:09
Looks good and is super comfortable.
Agreed
the shorts are too short for me. i want just a little bit above knee

Cool vid, just youtubed "jean shorts for men" and your videos came up, thanks! Glad you don't have a whack ass voice either, seem chill

Yes for sure, works great!
you seem to forget jean shorts with cowboy boots and a sprint car shirt
Dang you’re right. Next time
Weird and crazy question. Do you think a pair of timberlands will fit well with a pair of trouser/slacks?
Hmmm I don’t think it would work just because the trousers will be too slim and I personally don’t love when people tuck their pants into their timbs

Ok then do what you like
@@ParkerYorkSmith Short shorts :) The thighs are the most beautiful. Why do you want to cover up the most beautiful part of the legs?

You can cut your own from pants too
What's supposed to be comfortable about long shorts? These things look bad. And not comfortable at all. Shorts really have to be VERY SHORT!

I need to get me a pair of yellow cons
For sure they’re so good, love the hi tops too
I have big thighs what’s the best shorts ??
Maybe try a wide leg or relaxed fit jean and cut your own? Otherwise ASOS has the bigger fits as well, check their site.
Thanks 😊
Where is the hoodie in look 4 from?
It’s from Gap, their basic hoodies are awesome
@@ParkerYorkSmith thanks!
Great video again man!
Appreciate you watching! Thanks buddy
Lil too short for me.
I respect that, you can cut them to any length you’re comfortable with. Just stay above the knee
Can someone please tell me why jean shorts on men are widely frowned upon? I love them and think they look great lol.
You and me both Smiggles!! They’re stylish and crazy comfortable
