- In this update i should firstly apologize for the camera work, it's a bit ordinary with being zoomed in and moving it around but anyway i go over how the interior floorpan looks after removing the OEM deadener, found some surface rust and some scaled area's but thankfully not too bad, goes to show you just never know whats lurking underneath.
The punched triangle area's in the floorpan i suspect are there to let any water out but they also let water in so if the deadener has pockets where it isn't sealed against the metal then the moisture can be retained, i plan on putting sika flex over these before the new sound deadener goes down and rely on the rubber bungs to let any water out but after spending a lot of time now working on the Niva i now realize they were never meant to be waterproof by design that's for sure.
Can you lower the sound if your intro, it’s abit loud :) great video series anyway. And that’s a nice looking rust free project.
Cheers mate, thanks for the feedback re: the intro
do you have any follow up videos prepared
hi there, no I became a little lazy with vid's, I have taken lots of pics though, so I will have to make a vid/slideshow of my progress to get it up to date as to where I'm at at the moment
im interested to seeing the process and the results it seems like a hard project to complete
Very rusty
Thanks for watching, it's not so bad compared to conditions the Niva's in the northern hemisphere have to endure, but we all have to fight the rust :)
