Bowing takes many meaning in the Catholics church...it is a sign of reverance when they bow before the altar..it is a sign of peace when they bow to the priest and to each other...it is a sign of worship and submission when they bow during the consecration of the sacraments..and it is a sign of veneration when they bow to religious imagery or images/pictures of their loved ones..
