I wish you could do a live show where viewers can ask you to show an item. Sometimes I watch and say pick the one next to what you pick up lol lol. Enjoy watching you
I am particularly fond of the Laurel Burch purse. I have a few of her designs on a scarf, earrings and a coin purse. Sadly, she passed away at such a young age.
"Happy Palm Sunday" Lady Mary Beth! I'm thrilled to see another Video from you this Sunday morning, it always brightens my Day!! Now I'll watch it but just had to say "HI" first!! +
OH YES this Thrift Store was a goldmine. With each discovery I learn about the gems you pick up and have to tell you this week while I went sale(ing) in my town of Saginaw @ Goodwill I also found 2 Wedgewood Sarah's Garden bowls!! But I didn't take them home with me because I had no idea how special they were. So to my pleasant surprise today I learned something new (again) I certainly hope those 2 Bowls are there when I go tomorrow. The Wedgewood Cake Plate is such a nice find... Oh yes I have my gramas Better Homes and Garden Cook Book, I love to look the Cover as it sits on my counter. It always reminds me of her ( I loved her dearly, she died so young 65yrs...I got to live longer than her I'm 67yrs. I thought she was so old when I was 1st married, gee N0T!
Sarah's Garden was a popular pattern since it was created for the Duchess of York when she was a spokesperson for Wedgwood. Go back and get those bowls. The BH&G Cookbook has some of the best recipes that tie us to our mothers and grandmothers. My mother was 59 when I last saw her "living". She was in a coma and overseas weeks after she turned 60. I always think of her when I make Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Cornbread, Bubble Ring Yeast Cake, and more.
I love the idea of looking for a beaded bag or shoes for prom at a charity shop. I teach at a high school and go to prom EVERY year. I could change the look of a simple black dress with cute new accessories! Great Idea!!!!
Hello Lady Mary Beth. Love watching your videos. They are wonderful and full of amazing ideas and tips. I also like linens and doilies. Using odd napkins are a great tip to line baskets & dishes. Thank you for introducing me to rose bowls and how we can use for centerpieces. When I go to shoppes, garage sales, and antique stores I see usage of items in a new way. Thank you! 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
How nice to join you today to view this lovely new shop. It's wonderful to see such beautiful item's to be taken care of here instead of a Goodwill store. Items get tossed around. In the South seems to be alot more better quality too. So many beautiful finds! Than you for the viewing! Take care. 💐🌷💐
Thanks for coming along for the thrifted finds. It's impressive how volunteers clean and carefully curate donated items. You are right about the quality and care compared to Goodwill.
The Acanthus tray is perfect for serving and displaying. This one is an older piece. The newer trays are made in China and lightweight without the detail.
My 'virtual purchases' with you included the beautiful Wedgewood Queensware dishes and also the houndstooth coat. I recognized the style of Laurel Burch as I have a pair of Laurel Burch earrings from the 1970's - one of my early purchases from my first job downtown Detroit. Can't get over the great deal of Wedgewood/Queensware. Someone will be the lucky shopper. The shopping trip was most enjoyable - thank you, Mary Beth.
Thanks, that was fun. Two years I was tired and leaving my very fav consignment shop when they brought in an entire set of Portmerien, from soup to nuts including a large soup tureen - rarely does one come across an complete set. I hesitated but I was too tired to even stop and think of it even though I was actuallly in need of a new set of dishes. This shop things move fast. To this day I sign whenever I think of that set. which I could have used as my every day dishes. Oh well...
I remember a Dusty Attic in Mesquite/Dallas area. Just returned from Europe and getting back in the groove. Found a new thrift store to film next month in Germany.
I look forward to Sundays because I always enjoy your videos Mary Beth!!!!!!! I wish I lived close to you, I would just love to go thrifting or antiquing with you for my channel !!! AND sidenote: I must say how fabulous your blue Brahmin bag is (you had a shot of it in your cart)!
The vinyl luggage looks like Fay Swafford luggage. It was popular in the 70’s-80’s and sold by ladies in home shows. I had several pieces that I donated a few years ago.
Love the pie plate … well I would wouldn’t I;-) The Swedish set is a delight. Oh, and the glass cake plate is beautiful. Gosh those prices!! Love a bandanna and I guess you might have more of them is Texas than we do in London. I also have my mum’s cookbook from the 1950s and my sister’s from 1970s. X
Vintage cookbooks are the best! The oldest one in my collection is "Mary Elizabeth's Cook Book" from 1916. Welsh Rarebit and Tongue Sandwiches must have been popular back in the day. Yes, you would love Texas thrift stores.
@@LadyMaryBeth recipes give such an insight into society. Perhaps, in Europe, we have hung onto more food traditions. When I was growing up (I am a lot older than you), tongue was popular, along with Welsh Rarebit, for High Tea which is, as you know, is different from afternoon tea. X
@@chrissiewalker8980 True that food traditions give us historical insight. Regarding high tea, most Americans confuse this for afternoon tea... no matter how many times I remind them. 😉
Hi lady Mary Beth, always lovely to see you !I always love coming around with you, some nice pieces they have so many nice items ,stay well much love Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️❤️👋👋
Hello Lady Beth.!! I love the big crystal vase from Shannon Ireland .I could wash that up and set in on an end table or by a window where the sun hits it
I always enjoy reselling with you. I was so surprised at the studio nova pieces, you’re right, they do look like Lenox. At first glance I thought they were Butterfly Meadow by Lennox, which is my main dish set. I’m always scouring resale shops looking for accessory pieces or complementary pieces, I get so Thrill when I find some thing! I am older, have downsized, live alone, so I rarely have big dinners, but I still love the look of butterfly meadow in my china cupboard and sitting around my tiny kitchen. It reminds me of spring time every day. On snowy winter days when I walk into my little kitchen my dishes make me feel like spring time is on its way! For four years I have been looking for solid color blues, greens, yellows, and pinks to mix and match with my dishes but so far no luck. I need to take a trip to Texas and look through all your wonderful resale shops.
Glad you're back! Lovely store, thank you for sharing. May I offer a suggestion for the linens and bandanas? These serve as a wonderful lining in an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift for those who participating in that charity. Thanks!
Thank you for the tour. It was fun seeing new merchandise. You have some really nice pieces. Love the silver! Can't wait to go shopping with you again!😃
My most interesting German piece is a demitasse cup and saucer whose stamp says Made in Occupied Germany. In decades of thrifting and antiquing, I've not seen another piece with that stamp.
@@LadyMaryBeth I have lots of Occupied Japan, and I look at cups and saucers from all over, and this one is unique to my experience. Post war Germany was so bombed out, I expect the rarity was really limited because of so few unbombed factories.
Thank you, interesting to know! I would be unsurprised to hear there are thousands of pieces of Occupied Japan for every single piece of German US zone.
Thanks so much for your videos. In a very uncivil society (as we have now), it is nice to see your lovely manners, and considerations.
I appreciate your kind comment. 🥰
Agree!!!
You're so classy, you're very knowledgeable on vintage items
I wish you could do a live show where viewers can ask you to show an item. Sometimes I watch and say pick the one next to what you pick up lol lol. Enjoy watching you
Great idea! Would need a high speed internet connection on location. 🤔
Greetings Mary Beth! I was quite happy to see your notification in the queue. It is a lovely way to start my semi-indolent Sunday. 😊😉
I am right there with you a lazy day. Returned from Europe a few days ago. Jet-lag is a beast.
@@LadyMaryBeth it can be rather troublesome. I find traveling east affects me more than traveling west. 🥴LOL

Laurel Burch created amazing art despite a lifelong suffering from Osteopetrosis.
