The name "Wigglywoo" originally comes from ProJared's Nuzlocke. It's a fun watch. I was surprised to find it referenced here since I was just randomly scrolling through my recommendeds after watching a few speedruns.

It's his Fire Red one. The same one with Nuptup, so if you've seen the one with Nuptup, that's the one with Wigglywoo. Wigglywoo doesn't show up until the latter part of the Nuzlocke though.

Wow I wasn't expecting it to be such a close race! You should definitely bring more of this, also because it's much more watchable than regular catch 'em all races given the shorter duration (I still really enjoy regulars tho :) )

You always talk about the rival name advantage. There are 2 good solutions that I see;
1. Each name your character after yourself, that way you both have to enter the same 2 names. It won't slow anything down long term as you use instant text.
2. Instead of naming Chris's rival SHEN name it Shen, that should make them relatively equal to input.

haha obviously the race is far in the past and I'm so glad how it turned out, but do notice that Chris started a little over a second (as can be seen by the running timer) before Shen did. Normally for a race this long that's pretty irrelevant and you go off of the resulting clock time anyways, but that beedrill has something to say about that lmaoooo actually a race changer. Just makes you think ;)

Idea for next time: first to catch 75 and then beat the elite 4. Maybe add "successfully yolo-ball the lvl 70 in a pokeball" to keep it hype.
Why does their game run so fast? like text and even the way they walk.. I've been playing around with the romhack they use but I can't seem to speed everything up

This rom was awesome. It's a shame i won't be able to play it, a lot of the things randomed interestingly. The thing i like the most is that all the weedle evolutions were at the powerplant
This was so fantastic. It's like all the fun of the catch 'em alls, but it's basically guaranteed to be close.
I'm just thinking "Fight trainers, they might give you the encounters so you can search the dex!"

It could end up being a nightmare, but I think it would be awesome to see a combined catch em all / key item randomizer run!
Bingo lockout would be more like tic-tac-toe. I honestly don't think that would be a bad idea...

Reverse bingo is a good idea. If you have a pokemon faint,if all your pokemon faint, if one gets paralyzed, if you run into a 4% pokemon, if you reload a state/save, if you use a status heal in combat, a hp healing item out of combat, if you do an optional trainer battle, if you go over 30 seen pokemon, etc. Use glitchless beat the elite 4 strats. First to beat them without getting a bingo wins.

I have zero clue what’s going on here. Well, I get the gist, but the terms and basic mechanics behind what is happening are over my head.
Hey ! I recently began to watch your pokemon videos and there're some things I don't really understand... Like, why are you always saving and why were you so happy to find "new encounters" in the mansion at the end. Basically, I don't know how the whole encounter system works.
Also congrats for the win, it was close !
They are saving all the time because they are loading really fast if the encounter isn't what they want. The rom is hacked to allow fast loading but if they save/load too many times they get timed out from using the fast load for awhile (save scum punish).
As for the second question,there are 10 possible slots on each route or each floor of caves/buildings etc. that cycle like a slot machine. Some slots have 15% chance to find, some 10%, 5%, 4%, 1% etc. As you get to the rarer slots you reach a point of diminishing returns for time, in the time you find the 1% on 1 route you could find 7/10 on another route or 2. Chris likes to get 7/10 and then move on. Since pokemon are randomised to be in multiple locations and random slots it can be 1% on a route and 15% somewhere else so it isn't worth staying. The trolls usually happen when the routes it happens to be on are inaccessible in a reasonable amount of time (mewtwo cave or victory road for example) so you may be forced to find a 1% somewhere. Hopefully you have the pokedex info for it by then from a trainer so you at least know which route to grind. Blind 1% searching could be hours.

I'm glad 360 won, I would have raged if he'd lost since Shinanagans cheated, he caught an eevee and evolved it to vaporeon but 360 had already cought an eevee thus making eevee lockedout!
Lockout doesnt mean hes not allowed to get it anymore so he can evolve it. It just means, whoever gets the dex entry first gets the point for it.
