- As it has been reported. The first PBC card will headline Keith Thurman vs Tim Tszyu. While I did not initially know that there will be no title on the line. However, I still believe it is a good name for Tim Tszyu resume as well as a great opportunity for Keith Thurman to regain his lost glory. Let's talk about it.

Al Haymon put on the best year of boxing in a long time last year. It's a new deal and this is the first card to test the waters. Of course it's not gonna be a big name because they don't want to compete with the NCAA Final Four. We don't even know what the PPV price is gonna be. Got to let it play out before we judge.

Tuff i enjoy the content. Alot has been said about this fight by many. Here's some of my thoughts for you. One of the biggest unknowns is what version of Keith is going to turn up? (some rumors suggest he was in camp getting ready to step in if the Spence v Crawford negotiations fell through). Whilst its a PBC card lets remember Tim is a 'No Limit' fighter and perhaps No limit entertained the PPV to gauge what sort of support they'd get down here in Australia. Lets also remember and probably most importantly, Tim fought 3 times last year, there's currently not a mandatory sanctioned for his WBO defence, HE DOESN"T have to fight anyone, he's the one out searching for a fight to remain active. I can think of alot worse opponents than Thurman. Would fans rather he remains inactive for 2 years like the charlo's or marinate a fight for 2 years? Just let the man fight who ever is available at the time. Noone else in the sport is as active.
I don't disagree with you. However I don't blame either fighter. I just feel for PPV the stakes should be higher. I like Keith and I am glad to see him back.. He has an uphill battle in front of him. Also he could have fought Boots.
@@TUFFGloveBoxing I do agree about the PPV. PPV's seem to be a double edge sword. Low PPV numbers suggest fans dont' want to pay for a fight which 'should' encourage more 'free' fights. Unfortuantely instead of putting on free fights, they just make less fights waiting to put on big fights. The reality is it's just not boxing but we (as consumers) get nothing for free in todays world. Whilst ever boxing and promoters in general keep their books closed they can't attract big sponsors and investors like every other sport to generate income. As a result the consumer/ fans have to foot the bill. The writing is on the wall, we're already seeing consumers spend their money elsewhere and the sport is in a steady financial decline because of it.
Al haymon is a goofy coward he has overpaid and spoiled these guys he promised runtime thurman a big fight he turned down contracts for his fighters and in turn made thes guys who used to be killas into some businessmen cherry picking punks.

Of course they are not getting a budget from Amazon. Look at the PBC's track record; they've had deals with multiple companies that all went south. The last 2 were Fox Sports and Showtime. And to put icing on the cake, Showtime Boxing actually went belly up during their stint with the PBC.
The fact that Amazon isn't giving them any money shows that they've done their homework and looked into how how the PBC conducted business in the past. Heck, I sure as hell wouldn't invest any money in that company.
Amazon is a billion dollar company and they certainly wouldn't feel the pain in their wallet if they lost money because of a bad investment. But even they aren't taking that risk.

Yeah I still don’t think it’s ppv monthly but if it’s $30 or $40 then ok. Hopefully Keith can show us something because I honestly think Tim should just attack the body & Keith will go night night.
As far as the Bud haters. They are saying this is karma since Spence had to wait because Bud pulled out of negotiations. If I tell you I want a fight in 2022 & you send me a contract with a 2023 date, I will pull out too. Especially since Spence just had a fight in April & Bud last fight was in Nov against Porter 🤷🏽♀️ hopefully we can get the rematch out the way soon

@@GM-bk6wx I don't stream fights. I will watch the highlights. However the PPV situation is suffering because the Promoters and fighters are abusing the system. back in Floyd days just think about all the fights we got that were classics not on PPV. They got greedy. The attitude I have stems from that.

Sell that fight? Amazon is simply the streaming platform for the PBC. Selling the fight is not their responsibility.
