Nice vid.. FL works great if it is used correctly. It gummed up my weapon while I was at training but it was user error. I use it sparingly and it does a phenomenal job. If you use it on your slide barrel etc. then that sewing machine oil really isn't needed. Probably doesn't hurt but you surely don't need it. Also, I find the liquid is easier to use but its a matter of opinion. After heating the parts, I will spray it on my gloves and rub it everywhere.. I let it soak in for a bit and then come back and wipe all excess off. Nice vid.. cheers!

I've been using this product for years on all my weapon systems?. The way to apply this application correctly to your system is how he said. but you need to repeat the process 2 more times to make the cleaning process easier after each use of your firearms. Do not I repeat do not apply into your trigger mechanisms or firing pin in cold conditions. You may find malfunctions at first until it starts dissolving into a liquid. Remember, guys, this is a wax coating like a candle to protect and lubricate.

I've been using for years, I have to agree frog lube has its place have its place in my cleaning and maintenance kit. I have had both negative and positive experiences with it. I can attest to the gunking up. I've only experienced this in extreme temperatures when I was living in Las Vegas, I had my safe in the garage basically turning it into a dry oven. But I've also had great results especially when treating parts that show signs of rust. My brother in law gave me his service glock that had all types of rust and pitting, I used all kinds of gun solvents to get that sucker clean. The rust seemed to react a lot better with the frog lube. I like using Lucas gun oil for triggers and bolts but frog lube on the exterior of my guns. That waxiness goes a long way for storing firearms. Great video for a years old debate!

For a degreaser, I personally use SimpleGreen it’s nontoxic, biodegradable and completely safe around children and pets. As for FrogLube, I have been using it for many years. When applied properly
it makes routine cleaning so much easier. Basically you are applying a thin coat of coconut oil/wax. Anyone that has had issues with it including The Yankee Marshal (didn’t use it correctly).

Interesting fact: one of the ingredients of Frog Lube is "polyalpha-olefin" or "PAO." Any motorheads out there will recognize that PAO is a synthetic oil and is the primary base stock oil for Group IV motor oils. Unfortunately, PAO doesn't have the lubricity of petroleum based oils or Group V (synthetic ester oils). So, in motor oil, a little bit of Group V ester and/or Group II or III petroleum oil is added to boost lubricity. There are no 100% PAO motor oils.
Either way, there's no reason Frog Lube shouldn't work as a decent lube, as long as you apply it correctly.
As far as it being a non-toxic biobased product, look a little closer at that label...it also says "product 98%". And PAO is listed on the Frog Lube MSD sheet as a hazardous ingredient. I know people claim you can eat it, but I wouldn't do that.

Interesting. But I do recall Frog Lube also being food grade and non toxic but I think, like all things, it depends on dosage. For example many health studies have determined that the benefits of drinking red wine are less than the benefits of drinking water. The world health organization even came out and straight said no amount of is safe for consumption. Yet alcohol is a consumable. I would wager that 2% of whatever other ingredient is in there is less toxic than your average can of beer.

stop using frog lube. I've used it for 2 years and so have my friends. my buddy's and i had all our guns jam over 24 guns. This stuff gels very hard and cause jamming issues if your not shooting everyday. Imagine if you didn't shoot your gun for 2 months and now you have to defend your life with it and it jams. I wemt back to CLP and mp pro 7 for oil.

First time I did basically all the wrong things the instructions tell you not to do. Started fresh and cleaned with simple green, properly heated and froglubed, let it cure, and wiped it down. Down times of no use up to 6months and zero malfunctions.
