Heyyy so I've been learning this piece, and for the trills I'd usually practice them on their own, slowly and when I got the hang of it I'd increase the speed until it sounded like trills if that makes sense? 😭
Ooo also when you're practicing, try and go slower to get everything in (everyone has a different pace, I usually to like half the recommended speed and then work my way up). And then with confidence you'll start playing it faster naturally :))

Try to play your pieces from memory - this is a good test of how well you “truly” know your pieces. Can you remember how loud or soft each section is without needing to check the book? If you find playing from memory difficult maybe start off by practising the right hand part only and see how far you can get before you need to check the book. Also make sure you know your exercises really well because this will set you up in a good frame of mind for the rest of the exam. If you are still making mistakes in places then play slower and try to get accurate. Try to keep in mind the importance of dynamics on the day - you don’t want to just play mechanically - it’s easy to slip into “survival mode” when under performance pressure like concerts or exams - just trying to get through the piece without mistakes, but keep in mind the importance of a good interesting musical performance. Little things like this can make a big difference. It’s ok to have nerves on the day - this is perfectly natural - especially if you are not used to these situations.. remember the examiners are music lovers too, so keep that in mind and try to enjoy it! fr indeed, i started playing last year in june when i was 14, i actually learned this song a few months ago, i suppose it depends on the teacher and the students dedication
@@nave433 generally after a year, from what ive heard, grade 3 or 4 is achieved, my piano teacher and i both think im slightly ahead for one year, i wouldnt say in any sort of prodigy but i would say im on track for my time spent played, i will continue to keep it up haha

on the original abrsm book, it says to play '5,4,5'
I suggest lifting the other fingers except for the one you are playing with and concentrate the power on only one finger
