  • Kutb Aaddin Aibak, who founded the slave dynasty before the Mughal Empire took over northern India, built Qutub Minar to commemorate the conquest of Delhi, India.
Qutub Minar is a five-story stone pagoda about 73m high, with the first floor made in Hindu style and the second and third floors made in Islamic style, and it is a monument completed in 1368 through several additions and renovations, starting with its construction in 1193.
In addition to Qutub Minar, the site also features India's oldest mosque, the Kuwatul Mosque, a mysterious, centuries-old Delhi iron pole that has been built in the 4th century and has not rusted for centuries, the Sultan Shamsuddin Iltutmish Mausoleum, and the tomb of Imam Jamin.
The slave dynasty that established Qutub Minar was the North before the Mughal Empire took control of Delhi and northern India.
This is the Delhi Sultanate, which ruled India, founded by Kutbahddin Aibak, a slave soldier and a Mamluk native.
Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, Qutub Minar has a balcony inside each floor and is a tower with 379 spiral steps inside. Currently, the interior is closed to the site in 1981 due to a crush of students visiting it, so you can only see the exterior view.
