Unironically id love to see the thirst and sanity meter be its own standalone mods. Currently lookin for ways to make the game more challenging and a thirst and sanity meter are somethin ive been lookin for Maybe with the punishment nerfed tho obvs lol instant death is a bit much but was perfect for this video And the thirst meter to be changed to go up when you drink a bottle of water instead of just being in water lol
you should make a new modded class a called druid class you know the lilith neklace right that can transform you to wolf what if you made many variant of that and turn it into a new class
you should add a metter for proggresion that fills up when you loot chests and defeat bosses for the first time, when it fills you die and the death message is: had too much fun.

Bar idea 3: Stamina bar: Doesn't kill you, but stops you from using hermes boots. Bar idea 4: Bar bar bar: Fills after 10 bar bar kills. Death message: Why are you still playing this? Bar idea 5: Class bar: Fills when using too much of one class, unfills when changing classes. Death message: got too bored. Bar idea 6: Obesity bar: Fills after eating, unfills when doing anything. If it gets full or empty, you die. Death message: forgot to exercise. / forgot to eat.
You know, some of these ideas don't actually sound too awful. Maybe a lot of the other bars are excessive, but I think it would be kinda cool to have to look after my little Terrarian. You could add in new items like water bottles and easier food items to create. You could preserve sanity by having a pet or being around comfort items. Of course, a lot of these bars would work better as optional features though
Especially considering it's impossible to craft a slime crown 💀 Edit : it actually is! But gradually putting gel into a chest next to the altar and opening it to craft the item
I am now playing the mod and it is actually a lot of fun, but I am progressing extremely slowly, like 8 hours to beat eye of cuthulu, but those 8 hours were fun ones!
This does sound like a fun idea if it gets more polish, such as Bottled Water being usable and having a seperate build that reworks the bars to be less deadly, or more interactions (like Diving Gear making you immune to "going too deep").
the death bar, each time you die it goes up by 1 out of 10. and it corrupts your world if it gets to its highest (by corrupt i mean like glitches it so much when you open it it crashes your computer)
And add debuffs for every one like the cold or whatever debuff you get in the tundra when on water whenever you're cold, weakness when your thirst or hunger is below 30%, slower atk speed(does not work with magic,yoyos, and guns) or run speed when exhausted and take damage when forcing to do shit that reduces stamina, and the darkness and whatever effect fits when your sanity is below 25%
honestly, if the bars were instead tied to debuffs, like 10x spawns for the Jungle bar or Confusion for the Nausea bar this would be pretty fun (probably)
I actually have an idea for another kind of bar. It goes down when enemies hit you and you fall and stuff, and if it empties you die. However, you can use items like healing potions to bring it back up. Please give feedback if you have any!
i think this mod has a really high potential if it gets refined the nausea bar could apply confusion the exaustion bar slowness thirst should be refilled by water bottles the stoned bar should apply the stoned effect (the one from medusa) while the temperature bar the frozen one (for cold), and hellfire (for heat) just throwing some random suggestions, to be honest you did a great job there
Having now completed the game with this, I can say that it was a harrowing experience, but also made me feel really confident in my Terraria skills. Killer mod, Verv
ok no offence but having some of the bars kill you when they fill up and some of them kill you when they empty is highly questionable for readability ~~because this mod is entirely serious~~

@@skwuidwurd In this version of the mod, being in the jungle for 3 minutes is enough to die I don't see how someone would beat it considering the plantera fight Maybe by planting a bed right next to the bulb and defeating the boss asap when they respawn?

Add the Terraria bar. If you play Terraria for too long, you spawn a gravestone

And add debuffs for every one like the cold or whatever debuff you get in the tundra when on water whenever you're cold, weakness when your thirst or hunger is below 30%, slower atk speed(does not work with magic,yoyos, and guns) or run speed when exhausted and take damage when forcing to do shit that reduces stamina, and the darkness and whatever effect fits when your sanity is below 25%
For nausea you'll get confusion along with 10%hp dmg
fun fact: in the zenith seed there is actually a hunger “bar”. its not really a bar but more life a debuff.

Some of the bars could have different effects,for example the 'dizzy' bar could inflict the confusion debuff.
i'll probably add a config option to trigger more "tame" effects when bars are full for the public release
