themenacingjester ... for which the world owes you bigtime! I had to play this about 20 times in a row now it's back. Would you happen to know where True Life Confessions were from? Belgium? Japan? UK?
DeadHackerCorpse They were a London band that included in their ranks at one time or another John Dummer and his wife Helen April, second drummer Manic Esso from The Lurkers, bassist Harry Kakouli from Squeeze, guitarists Robin Bibi and Mark Nevin (later to form Fairground Attraction and write the hit "Perfect") and two Afro-French girl singers, Any Toco-Salvetti and her sister Myriam.
themenacingjester Thanks a million! As I knew nothing about them, except that they are covering a song by Lio... but this cover is way better than the original. And though Lio is Belgian, I didn't think they were from there. Banana! :-)
Great post, indeed True Life Confessions were wonderful. I have this and Don't Call Me Chickenhead, any chance you have I'm Almost Supersonic, or anything by John Dummer and Helen April from the band?. Yours in hope
+dredd0210 Sorry Dredd, The only other record I've got by TLC is the Mother's Day at The Marquee EP with the tracks, Did you Lie, Sex Slave, I Like Drinking and Give It To Me on it ... Great band.

+themenacingjester Thanks for the reply. I have heard that EP, rather different than the single releases. I'll continue my quest. Thanks again
Great to hear this cover but if you really want to hear a great song listen to the original by Lio from 1979
Pretty sure it's actually Lio singing on this but I think she was credited as "Leo"?
